- 6X6 World members visited Carolina Adventure World in Winnsboro, SC again for a day long ride on Saturday, Jan 24, 2009. There were five amphibious ATVs that showed up even with the gloomy forecast. An Argo Avenger 8x8, a Max II, a Max IV, an Argo Bigfoot, and a custom Attex racer. With lots of rain the few previous weeks, the trails were sloppy and the mud was thick. Perfect weather for our amphibious ATVs. For more info check us out on the web!
LOL I remember the show The Banana Splits and they rode around in these type of 6x6
Last time I went riding there It was just like that! Loved It!!!
Now that was awesome 👌
awesome vid great music i wish i could find some muddy hills and stuff like that around here
Looks like you guys had a great time. I hope I can make the next one.
I own a few older Argo 8x8's. I'm interested in one of the Max IV models now also. How do they compare to the Argos like Power, water use like lakes, streams and slow rivers and to fish out of? How about maintenance? Argos ate very easy to work on, how about the bigger Max IV's? What is a Max IV top speed compared to the Argo 8x8. My 8x8 Argo can hold 4 people floating in our lake. Can the MaxIV hold 4 people in the water also or is that just on land? Any help on this...thanks.
The 6x6 in the video that blew the beads has old style wheels on it. All of the newer 6x6 and 8x8 ATVs come from the factory with "beadlock" wheels. They aren't full, bolt-on beadlocks like you suggest but rather steel wheels with a deep bead rolled into the wheel to sandwich the bead of the tire between the two beads of the wheel.
With this newer style wheel, we typically run 2 PSI without having to worry about losing the bead. There are some aluminum beadlocks too but they are pricey.
No , we don't sell anything but if you come over to the site and post in the free wanted section you may be surprised what you can find. Thanks for the comment.
@6x6World thanks allot
Good video like your choice of music
I think it is $25. Check their website to be sure.
what is the cap on the front for? ive seen it on a few things its also on this bazoo 6x6 im looking into getting just not sure what its for
my dad just got a max ll for our farm, gotta do some work to it and it has a 13hp Honda clone engine in it but have the original twin Briggs from the guy in need of rebuilding. got it for 1500 bucks and by your site believe its an 84 or 85
thats serious mud these dont get stuck wow
Would bead lock rims be a good idea with these when running such a low psi in the the tires? Someone's gotta make aftermarket alum rims with bead locks for them?
@HondaRacer248 There are a lot of ways to answer this. Come over to the forums and check out some of the existing threads that discuss the topic in depth. Basically, if you want to haul stuff or as many people as possible get an 8x8, if you are just looking to have fun on the trails with the ability to bring one other person and a little gear with you, get a 6x6.
Hey 6X6, when you gonna post more vids, been missing you! :'(
If you click on Mute it is a much better video
@6x6World hmm weird there is a rear gas tank on this bazoo
