Yeah, I hope you guys get the recognition you deserve, but I also really wish the Vietnam guys would get some more recognition before they go. I know there were tons of Nam movies in the 80s, but those movies were always focused on criticizing the conflict itself. I wish they would get a Band-of-Brothers type series or something. I have so much respect for those guys. That scene at the end of Jarhead when the Nam vet gets on the bus at the victory parade to congratulate them just kills me every time I see it.
Reminds me of my year in Ramadi 2005-06. I was a Scout and was in 12 firefights in my first 8 days in country? Six months later I couldn't even guess how many more. If the Sunni Triangle was Hells Kitchen? Ramadi was the Microwave.

@@1026timey it had the 25mm cannon like a bradley. Perhaps the tow missile box on the right side of the turret was removed I'll go back and look at it. My platoon never used tow missiles when we were there 2004-2005 cause there was no enemy armor to worry about.

At the very minimum, the actors appear to have been boot camped long enough to generate that squad aesthetic. These guys don't look all squirmy about being filthy and they have that minimum communication where a gesture and two blinks gets everybody up and alert.

I always watch these type of movies for the authenticity in it. One thing I never understood, is that their uniforms are always clean and brand spanking new, but they'll be in country for months in to their deployments. Wish I had uniforms that looked that new in war.
There was nothing uniform about the uniforms and equipment when I went. Most of the branches were transitioning from the older style uniforms to the newer stuff. The same applied to equipment. And yah, nothing clean about the uniforms. The filth added to the concealment.
As a 100% true American citizen i have to say thanks our troops for their services and giving up their lives so the military industrial complex without these fine men and women i have to live my life knowing that im in danger of totally real WMDs from a country across the sea that's in another continent. I was in a town in Southern Oregon for a bit. The entire town smelled like Northern Iraq…which is weird because there was no burning oil/trash or 💩 ponds there.
World War Two vet’s often said they had no way of explaining what combat was like, physically had no way to explain it to others until they watched the movie, saving Private Ryan. I feel more movies like this will inevitably help more vets of modern conflicts talk about their experiences and overcome them.

My son found in a battle leaving zangabad and was wounded. He has PTSD, but I have my son here with me and for that I am grateful for God allowing him to have more to spend with his kids! We have talked about his time there and the IED explosion and the gun fight that occurred. Again, I thank God for allowing him to stay on this beautiful earth!
If I were to make a war movie, I would try to recreate every aspect of the real battle as much as possible. I would NOT let the enemy run in front of your gun like a zombie and be killed by you in pieces I would let the enemy find cover and shoot at us from the cover. We were forced to call in mortar support, and the forward observers had to risk climbing up I would make the encounter decided in the first twenty seconds, either our side was pindown or they were I will arrange for the Air Force JTAC (Or army TACP) team to call for a CAS mission and have to wait for 10 minutes (it is very likely that our side will suffer devastating casualties during this period), INSTEAD of a sergeant holding a walkie-talkie and "We need air support , over" after one minute the plane coming I will let the grenades, artillery shells, and even the dust and smoke after the air raid last for a long time, and we will fire in that direction to test These idiotic action movies have ruined war movies. They make people feel that in war, as long as you shout and keep shooting, the enemy will inexplicably rush towards you with a gun and be killed by you. It neither respects soldiers nor human nature. In fact, all we want is cheap sensory stimulation and emotional output CJTF-OIR veteran, National Guard volunteered to go there, but never fired a gun or get hit during the mission

Nope, it's the UK Sankey FV432/30. About a dozen or so were made. It is the standard FV432 (the UK version of the M113) and it mounts the Fox turret with a 30 mm Raden cannon. All conversion were allocated to the Berlin Brigade. After they were decommisioned they were sold to a British paintball organisation.
It looks realistic. It reminds me of the movie Blackhawkdown. That IFV is not an M2 Bradley; it's a modified MII3 APC that was made specifically for this movie. That F/A-18 Hornet is CG.
