They will have to contend with BD as usual. Drums will need to place very high for that to happen. BD is always clicking on all cylinders with no weak links and the drum line at BD is stronger than last year.
I can see this being the next Star of Indiana, leaving DCI and doing something more professionally. Their music quality far exceeds the field (including Blue Devils' GE generated cues) to the point of frustration. In my opinion of course. Congrats to these young musicians. Wow!
But Blue Devils have much more entertaining shows that are also performed with professionalism. Check out some of the you-tube videos that came out showing when Devils performed in Europe a while back. Very clean and very entertaining.
You can tell the battery writing has a very indoor feel. Mike Jackson is awesome. Hyped for this line and staff change.

In early season I always struggle to determine if I’m hearing a lead trumpet or if that tuning is so good that there’s overtones lol
