Your son is really strong for his size/weight - given how he is able to easily muscle around those uprights. Wonderful help on a big project like this!
Relax you can add the ledger boards up even if you have your post's up and set. Just needs to be done so remember that you can mix it up some as long as you get it right in the end. Be kind to yourself you're learning. Just needs to be done before the trusses go up. As always good luck and God bless and stay safe out there.
@@ThirdTimeAroundRanchit's one) a level point for all the middle trusses to attach to 2) it's a heck of a lot easier to get a quick line up. In other words the trusses are not the easiest thing to level up at 30' off the ground hanging on to hammer nailing it off. So you're going to need one but you don't need it until you set trusses. Purlins and square it first. That's when you can get everything set up for the trusses by setting the final height of the ledger board. Using longer board's for the rim will leave fewer joints in the rim. Your getting it done and as long as you are satisfied with the end product that's all that matters.

I designed the floor plan but it's just a rectangular building. I'm not picky as long as I have enough kitchen and pantry space I'm happy.
