Been on a Taika-binge of interviews lately, found this gem by accident, I'm about 5 years late but goddamn amazing interview!
Having seen a lot, it's one of the few where you get genuine-not-just-comedic answers from Taika. Massive kudos to the interviewer!!
I like this interviewer. He seems like a genuine fan of Taika
Yesterday I had some terrible news and last night my eldest son took me to the movies, this movie, I laughed all the way through it and went in an amazing adventure with Riki and Uncle, it was awesome and just the medicine I needed after yesterday. As a Nanna I'd recommend this for any young teen, it was funny and heartwarming and the best adventure and as an Aussie the humour is very in tune with our own. I loved it.
I love this film, it was a surprise find, it is so simple and watchable, the cast are amazing, a film that you won’t get bored with. Taika is a unique storyteller, Jojo Rabbit is an amazing film that cannot be described, it’s probably the finest film I have seen in many many years, it has a message and heart, just watched boy.. another unique way to tell a story
This is such a gem of an interview. Loved the movie! Can't wait to delve into more of Taika's works.
This is brilliant heartwarming creative work. Thank you so much for providing intelligent brainfood. The cast is brilliant also. Sam Neal is my generation actor. I admire his long career. I admire Taika. Thank you 🎉🎉🎉America is starving for more New Zealand and ausie story making.
And I did shed a few tears too. Thank you for yet another great NZ film.

Why would you pirate a beautiful movie like this?
Anything that Taika or Jermaine do is pure gold. Love them both. Qwaqwaii! Support From HOPI, AZ.!
My favourite film for 2016 and possibly ever!
I loved Taika then and still do!
Great interview! Filmed nicely, edited brilliantly, liked the questions too
Loved it. And for sure I was laughing out loud. Just as well my daughter was not there to be embarrassed. So many wonderful moments and great performances.
"I hate kids!" LOL 😂
Word
What a great interview. 👍🏽
Another comedy with Sam Neil is Dean Spanley. Sam Neill was hilarious in that. Also by another fantastic New Zealand director Toa Fraser. Loved Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
Sequel to "Shadows"...WAIT, WHAT!???? PLEASE. OMG.YESS!!!!!
I know this comment is a year old, so you probably already know what I'm about to tell you, but, the Shadows sequel is called....
"We're Wolves". Which is, y'know, just incredible! It's probably still a few years away, but still. Can't wait.
Bro :,(
I felt damn good after seeing Thor ragnarok, such a fun entertaining movie.
Artistic Genius
Oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make s sequel to Shadows!!!
Charming film.
I knew nothing about the film until I saw Nostalgia Critic's review of Deadpool 2 when it's mentioned that Julian Dennison and Sam Neill deserve Oscars. Then I watched Wilderpeople and I believe that both Julian and Sam deserved Oscars for those performances. I loved Julian in Deadpool 2, I love Sam Neill from Jurassic Park, and I loved Taika for directing Thor: Ragnorok. So Wilderpeople was a great movie because I loved all the elements involved.
Nice interview - dug the questions. Just please, PLEASE equalize the audio of the two different mics. We continuously turned up the volume to hear Taika only to have our ears blown minutes later when the interviewer spoke again.
I'll say Lee Tamahoris Mulholland Falls is a quality gangster genre flick that people will begin to rediscover.
