Great videos, thanks for showing us the winder and how you use it. It is next thing on my wish list when I grow up. I’ve been crabbing for years and always tied my necks straight to the line. Two years ago I decided to buy a snooped line for a second line, as I felt I saw a lot of large crabs dropping off my old line. Last you when I started using it I felt my catch of larger crabs picked up a lot. My outrigger has a 4 inch PVC pipe that it runs over to reduce to slap. I still used my old line and it does catch. I have not tried clam bags yet that may be my next choice, I may be contacting you. But I have yet to have any problems with them but we’ll see what the future has in store. Hope you a productive and safe season.
Jake I’ve said it for years. Snoods is just not worth it. I have lines with snoods n without. I never catch more on them, and it’s no faster baiting. 💯 agree with you!
I'll have to be crazy. Cause I use snoods everyday no tangles no trouble running. And your crazy to buy clams cause they aren't that much better. Maybe early early spring but summer I crab next to a guy using class and I caught just as many crabs as he did
broke clocks right 2x a day 😆 tangles aren't as bad w the chicken and w the bags, the bag is the snood . I use to use chicken/fowls 20 years ago then I put clams on 1 of my lines... never again... try em, make sure there fresh, keep em cool do it right I guarantee you'll never look back... it helps if ya use my special bags too 😉 for speed and all. The time was the only down side of clams... I done fixed that!

Is there a reason in your area not a lot of people are running traps.
Snoods suck !!’ I’ve had more problems with than their worth. I have a 1200 ‘ line used twice and I’ll never use it again.
