I believe it's either the Master Warning or Master Caution aural alert. You can see Capt Obet look at the EICAS & Master Warning/Caution buttons as the alert sounds :)
Captain Obet, love these videos, a new subscriber!, i often see the Cathay 747-8 fly over my building in Miami. I saw you are from Zimbabwe, and wanted to ask you if you are a cricket fan? Im a huge cricket fan here! Thanks for sharing with us Captain- Chris
Great Video Pilot Obet. It would be great if you could reply to a couple of Questions. 1. Does the 747 have auto throttle with engine failure. 2. In an engine failure situation, does the Autopilot, when engaged, cater for rudder trim when thrust change. Thanks
Very detailed video, Pilot Obet makes a great Instructor. At 9:08 Theres a very salient point- just because the fire warning is triggered, doesn't mean its an actual fire. If all engines parameters are 'normal' then it might be the fire detection system being overzealous 😁 I recall from British Airways training, the first action when hearding the fire bell is just to cancel the fire warning. If it recurrs, there might be a problem.
Well it's like alarms going off atiur independent living scheme 99.9/ if time it's a false alarm but its reassuring to know there there and obviously procedure followed by control to letter and fire engines come to our scheme
Thank you Captain for your informative videos. Could you please make a video on how to avoid mistakes as a pilot in general, but in particular in GA aviation. In commercial flying, you have procedures to set and check each others work, but in GA, where we often fly alone, what methods can I adopt to safely catch potential mistakes? I'm about to do my PPL skills test. I have planned very well and flown very well, but I've made the occasional frustrating mistake, for example mis-reading a PLOG line, or, during a diversion, misreading a track bearing on a plastic compass ruler overlaid on a cluttered 1:500,000 map. These is a mistake I would not have made on the ground but was due to having to orbit a spot on the ground whilst map-reading and having no autopilot hence a GA solo-pilot has to have a process for catching such mistakes and correcting them. Many thanks and all the best, Jamie.
Obet, on the EICAS display, all it says is "FIRE ENG 2". I wonder why the EICAS doesn't turn the engine 2 to a red color because if you quickly glance as the EICAS and miss the "FIRE ENG 2" words, all you see is 4 white engines on the EICAS. If ENG 2 turned to red, it would catch your eye immediately.
What are the procedures if the pilots of a mighty bigger plane decide to land on top of a tiny small plane which has encroached into their right of way ?
I see a Pilot Obet video, I click like immediately before watching. 💪🏾💪🏾
Same
Brilliant explanation, love your videos.
Your videos are great! I have a question: what is the audible alert just after turning off the fire alarm at 5:50?
I believe it's either the Master Warning or Master Caution aural alert.
You can see Capt Obet look at the EICAS & Master Warning/Caution buttons as the alert sounds :)
Thanks again, captain. Excellent way to start the new year
Happy new year my friend!
Thank you -happy new year to you too
Captain Obet you are just the best. I always learn SO much from you! Happy New Year to you and your lovely family 🎉

Great video indeed, as usual. Wish you Captain a Great Joyful and Pleasant 2024!
Very informative. Thanks for still making these

Captain Obet, as PF, what were your actions in the order you did them upon rejecting the TO?
Great video once again, sir!
Thx Cap
Great informative video captain
Hi, out of interest, if the parking brake is set while on final, is there any indication on the ICAS or any audible warning?
Ill do it next time in the simulator and show you
amazing video! why the low resolution though?
I thought it’s better in HD?
Oh i watched it pretty soon after upload. Guess it wasn't processed yet.
Now i see 1080p 👍@@pilot_obet

You can see the fuel cutoff switch light up as well as the extinguisher handle which also light up red.

Go-around if you happen to see the smaller aircraft and it is not too late.
@@pilot_obet Roger that capt!
Looking forward for the info when JAL flight 516 got TOGA thrust set.
