Most crucial part of an acc for me has been chipping away at diaries. I never bothered with qpc in 07 and only started taking the main account grind 'seriously' since 2018. I doubled down my semi casual efforts during covid playing and it has made me enjoy the game so much more.
Achievement/Combat diares are the best indicators of progression.
It's a long road, but we're spoiled for choice when it comes to content in osrs. Ty again for the guide. Currently tackling hard combat and elite achievement diaries.

Questing has to be the most important part of any account. It unlocks so much content whether its new map areas, equipment, abilities, perks, teleports, PLUS it forces you to have goals for levels in skills that maybe you wouldn't normally train. RSN Capt Falco

FYI, you do not need holiday tracks to unlock the music cape, only the trimmed variation. No need to wait a full year for a holiday event if you're close to the music cape!

Great Video. I just got Quest Cape back after doing Desert Treasure 2 so I've been a little lost on what to do next. I've been AFKing Barbarian Fishing (lvl81) on weekdays and doing Fortis Colosseum (can only do the first 2 waves the majority of the time) so I'm sort of doing a mix between PVM and skill route
I found your videos about ~2 years ago when I got back into the game and am turning the corner on a 2B bank and base 90s now, and wanted to thank you for how informative your guides have been while staying concise and lighthearted. I’ve had a couple friends and my brother start up the game since returning and point them your way with any questions. Keep doing great work man, these help new and returning players so much!
I'd tell them to start farming asap, do Waterfall, do a bunch of the other quests for mid game unlocks, start looking at Slayer around base 60 combats, invest all spare gp into construction/PoH, and don't fall for the Graceful noob trap, just bring a stamina pot

As an Ironman I got the Quest cape last week and can say that better gear is very ideal. You need to spend a lot of time learning PVM bosses for the quests and you'll feel at times it's jsut not possible. Desert Treasures 2 is a nightmare and who knows how hard While Guthix Sleeps will be soon.
Questing, that's all i'm doing right now It unlocks slowly all the content in the game and gain a lot of skills at the same time.

I'd say the most important thing for a new account is set yourself small, realistic goals after playing the game for a couple weeks and figuring out what you like about it. That way you can know where to set your goals, and setting smaller ones as opposed to say playing for 2 weeks and setting a goal of infernal cape you'll be able to complete your goals and feel that sense of accomplishment rather than burning out on the unrealistic goal. Then you can even set yourself new goals sooner, and work towards those to get that dopamine rush again.

I think the most important thing about playing a new account is deciding if you want to be a ironman or main account.
I have been enjoying ironman way more due to not having to worry about upgrading stuff via making money. Everything I get will feel more rewarding.
I'm currently working on getting 77 magic for super glass make and then I'll be getting 99 crafting as my second 99. I basically ditched my main account at nearly 2050 total.
i wish i got on the quest grind sooner, im on the upper side of a mid account i think with most 80s sprinkled with a few 90+ and 1 or 2 70s, but im so far behind on quests and just general account unlocks.
now when i look at some activity i want to do or some item i want like bone crusher as an example and see the list of quests i need to unlock and its so daunting
Its important to have a goal to grind too.
Im notifing myself doing hard pvm challenges that i used to watch other people do on UA-cam, now im the one doing it! And its going so well that i dont even remember doing the bossfights almost or how i managed it
The questhelper addon also has an optimal quest route option too, it looks to almost be the same route as the wiki one.
What is that item that your using to un-note items?
i think what helped me the most when starting was to get agility and and a decent construcktion. Those sortcuts saves a lot of time and the poh can help tele you almost everywhere.

Quest cape would be the most crucial part of any account. It opens so many doors and introduces most content. It gives a clear goal to work towards with varied content along the way :)

Yeah working towards achievement diary cape gives the biggest benefits, you will have an all around account in a good spot to do whatever you like doing most. Personally only have a few skills left, goddamn fishing being the roughest one…

I think the most important aspect is questing because it unlocks areas, training methods and monsters that will make your life way easier down the line.

The most important part of an account is to set goals based on what you want to do rather than just asking people what you should do, and try as many different things as you can. Everyone finds their own niche, and trying many things keeps the game fresh while you find what you most enjoy.

It's just a trident of the seas, but it was Leagues gameplay so definitely won't be that good on main game.

As a PVM enjoyer, the most critical parts of an account are getting the fire cape and barrows gloves, and you could pair those with MA2 and DS2 to have a good base for gear setups. As a skiller, most important is probably achievement diaries, to unlock the most potential for the painful skilling grinds. RSN Hawkback1329

I think it was a very clear route for the "beating osrs" I think on all skill that should be focus is the Slayer for the access of gear, boss and maxing combat style with a chance to get the imbued heart. RSN beautykill13
I’d remove the idea of maxing first then going for inferno. Mega weapons after inferno is not what I’d suggest. It’ would feel impossible to pass inferno without the help of better gear. It is after all, a very challenging piece of content. I’m almost ready for a T BOW and will then set aside time to do it once I have it banked.
I’d suggesting once you start the PVM route, explore a bunch of boss content and money making methods, switching it up as you go along. You’ll be forced to learn mechanics that are transferable. I’m not a skiller, I don’t focus on diaries, but there is content that not many people have achieved that if you want to explore a bit of fashion scape then you could go for cosmetics such as the “champions cape “.
Point being, I’d rearrange the order according to this comment (personally ). It is after all, an opinion.

Maxing before the inferno makes more sense, depending on your long term goals
Maxing is the most boring thing you'll do in this game, and when you do it, the game feels kinda 'dead'
It makes sense to leave some goals for after maxing, like pvming, inferno and stuff
That's the path i chose
Frfr maxing is the ultimate goal no rush for that. Rather enjoy PVM content asap
