Have to say I have enjoyed every video from the day Farmer Phil give the shout out. And while the new sheds might get the views. The persistent attention to detail and relentless improvements of the small thing’s, filling the holes, the close of the gate and fixing the fences is the real draw. Most of your subs are envious of your enthusiasm, keep it up! Thanks.
john brennan very kind words thank you, yes Farmer Phil and Gerry 6420 helped me to get going and i’ll be forever in there depth. I’m trying to bring people in closer to what I’m doing so that they feel more of a part of it, if that makes sense. Learning all the time
hi Adrian when i go fencing i wear carpenters tool belt for the staples etc also i paint the posts with waste oil only the piece that goes into the ground that farm is a credit to you greetings from cork
@@IFarmWeFarm the oil nowadays is acidic unlike the old waste oil, my grandfather painted an old timber gate for years with waste oil and it stayed there for 40 years plus.
Love the videos the grass harrow for re seeding we take the back chains off the hooks so it drags ontop for harrowing in the grass seed you could leave a calf on the cows to help with the milk
Great video. I am milking two time a day. I am milking 26 cows a day. I have 17 dry cows. I milk, 4 cows a time. I am not giving up. I am still fighting. I love dairy farming.
Usually them wet spots come from an old silted up stone drain probably from a few small springs on the side of the hill. I did a few last year very similar type of spot to that found the old Stone drains about two-and-a-half feet deep and fully silted up
Nice to see the harrow in operation, I was thinking of getting one, would you recommend the jarmet. I deal with evan at Lakeland, he gives a great service with no bs. Keep up the great videos.
Good harrow that young man by the look of it. I just repaired an old Parmiter harrow of similar design and have a video of that posted too. Chain harrows can be awkward to transport so the framed ones are handy that way but the downside is the stress on the frame when harrowing.
Good harrows, and your daughter has a decent steady camera hand. If she wants to stay behind the lens its probably for the best. Once they get comfortable on camera, it wont be long before they becomes the stars of the show.... I speak from experience.😃
Farmer P I seen your video using the same Harrow in a larger version before I bought it, happy with it so fare. Ya I’ve i feeling you may be right as there wanting to start up there own channel now at the minute 🤔NOT A HOPE 😊
I've had a Jarmet 5m harrow for 5 years now and it is insane value. I did manage to break it a few times but i was way too brutal to it (you're probably not supposed to harrow stumps lol) and the fix was a quick weld. One complaint i have though is that the dealers here don't offer sepatate chain parts. They only offer buying the whole chain set which given that my frame has some wear seems a worse deal than buying a whole new harrow, which i'll probably do.
Hi Adrian, I have the same harrow/land leveller as you have and just to tell ya that the frame is very light for the size of the tool so you may have to reinforce it
Hey. What do you make of chain harrowing the grazing ground? Living in the west on a small farm and thinking of getting one. Should I do all fields or is it only fields that have certain issues? Thanks in advance.
hateglazer25 chain harrowing makes I great job of grazing ground in early spring to remove all the dead grass and mosses. Ground needs to be fairly dry so you don’t pull up to many sods which you need to then roll after
The thing with those harrows I'd that if one "chain" breaks off the harvester/baler wouldnt really like it I dont think, would a chain harrow or a spring tine one be better for getting rid of chickweed and other weeds like it as theres an awful amount on our silage ground, great video 👍
If shes not blue she'll not do this one will have less of a chance of losing bits that the harvest could pick up because there’s less joints. Chick weed is a problem 4 us as well this year and last. This Harrow would pull them out but we opted to spray instead, hope to get that done this week coming
@@IFarmWeFarm I'm gonna try out forefront t aswell this year for the docks and ragwort, the father is hoping that the grass will outgrow the chickweed and it will just die back itself
For a lad who's not been uploading to UA-cam very long , the quality of your videos is fantastic. keep it up lad
The Reds thanks lad

Catherine. Kelly Thank you Catherine.
We actually used to paint all our post with run oil but gave up as we couldn’t see any benefits.

Your quite right John, heaver machinery is to blame unfortunately, stone drains were never designed to take the weights of today’s machines

Do a farm tour
How much land have you got
Would you not let the young one roll the field
Hello ARDAIN
Would you not use the case
Kevin Henry it’s rigged up to the power washer so the Massey was free
Is it reilly agri
Griffin Woods yes
Aye sure I only live 3mile away from it
Griffin Woods can’t beat Evan and the lads
Nice repair/recovery job. These women don’t know what us men have to do. Multitasking ????? They know nothing 😂😂😂😂😂
The only thing I would have thought with my dairy farm is to put calves on cows at night
John Foley thankfully we haven’t had to dump our milk yet and it’s looking least liking now.
@@IFarmWeFarm we are with Lakeland that specialise in catering so we are quite worried but it seems ok now
