Classic, every boat dog I've ever seen is like "OMG why isn't my owner holding his head above the water whilst swimming? Why hasn't he come up for a breath? Why aren't you helping him?!?? It proper stresses them out.
rather than adding another shark living in misery with a hook in it's mouth why not invest in a long handle hook remover. Get with the times and respect for the animals
