I went everyday to check on him and do whatever he needed until he was rested enough and all his bruises were healed. Fell about 20-25 feet and land on his rifle. Tough as oak was my Daddy. He hunted and fished like a pro. But could not fix a dang thing around the house. LOL! But worked hard everyday at his job and came home to Mama and made us laugh. I miss him with all my heart. Would have been 97 today. You have a fine Daddy, Hannah who has raised a fine young lady! Take care of him, sweetie. God bless you both! ❤

Praying for ya brother. I also fell from a stand while not using my harness that was at the house. All my ribs on one side crushed several holes in my head. So sorry to hear this, I was in a similar situation a year ago. Pretty much everything was the same except it was my stand and I didn’t break anything because my back slid down the tree. Holy heck, POPs! I hope you're feeling better soon. Glad you're still with us. That could have gone really bad. My stubborn Pop's did the same thing not wearing his lifeline 7 years ago. Luckily he hit branches on the way down which prevented him from falling straight down onto his head. Get well POPS! Make sure to treat him to some good food when y'all back home, Hannah.
