Same!!! Every time I travel and bring all my journaling stuff I’m too busy or tired at end of day to do anything. I ended up putting a voice recorder app on my phone where I just voice out a summary of each day just before bed so I remember what I did each day and I’ll use my notepad if I have thoughts I want to capture as I’m feeling them. Then I sit and transfer it all to my journal when I get home. Otherwise I forget everything 😂
Hi girl I feel you. You should enjoy your vacation and let everything that stresses you at home. I’ll be leaving for vacation soon and will not bring my hobonichi weeks with me. I love it and enjoy decorating it. I think It’s more fun to decorate my weeks when i’m back home. I can’t wait to decorate while having a recap on what I did on holiday 😍
Sounds like you worked out the perfect strategy for journaling everyday while on vacation👍🏾. Also, great job keeping your stationary items at minimum this trip.

When we went to Hawaii I brought my hobonichi with all intents to journal but same thing did not touch it. I was having too much fun & the days were jam packed so I just wrote notes in my phone and transferred when we got home. When we went to the philippines though I had a lot more down time & my family kept the kids busy so for me time I would journal. I think it just depends on the trip :)
I used to take everything, but was always too tired to mess with anything. Now I just take a notebook and pen to jot down daily stuff and a zippered pouch for memorabilia, then do everything when I get home.
I've been nauseous nonstop. I like the minimal look. Everything looks cute. I love packing videos. I remember watching your old packing videos even tho I didn't go anywhere but work lol.
I also over pack with the intent of journaling during travel and then end up not even touching anything that I’ve brought. Great video!
I do the exact same thing on all my trips! I take everything with me and then never touch any of it. Lately I’ve just been taking my personal journal and planner( because I can’t live without it lol) I just save all the receipts and memorabilia to take home. That could possibly also be why I get so far far behind in the summer months and early fall. I hope this works out better for you. I’m curious about the black and white.

Love the little printer, but I’m afraid to use them because thermal ink/paper tends to fade after a few years and similar printers say prints will last for only about 3 years (and then fade away).
So far… it’s been almost two months and mine hasn’t faded yet. But I see your concern. I do plan on putting a clear duct tape over my black & white prints later on before archiving my journals so help with the fading.
