This would've been a perfect finale to the show, Mike out of jail, Jessica finding more to life than her career, Louis moving on from Sheila, & Harvey x Donna finally starting up, everyone gets the happy ending all wrapped up nicely
I've cried twice watching this. Jessica Pearson is definitely one of my top 3 favorite television characters of all time and my heart truly broke to see her go. There will never be a female character who is quite this bad ass and dynamic, especially one of color. I'm so glad they let her have a happy ending though.

When I first watched this episode on tv, I thought it was the season finale, whether or not there was another season to come. I felt like the cinematography, music choice, and the acting was on point to provide the cathartic experience of an ending like the ending of Return of the Jedi, and in more recent times, Avengers Endgame. To be able to witness characters as complicated and damaged like Harvey, Jessica and Louis finding companionship it gave me a huge sense of satisfaction and affection. In complicated ways, everyone is damaged. Whether we’re traumatised from our past like Harvey, or sick of making sacrifices for others like Jessica, or even so self conscious like Louis that we self destruct… This scene encapsulates the good side of how we cope with these issues. How sometimes… you finally get the chance to choose for yourself. How we aren’t alone in the journey of life.
As much as I don't want Jessica Pearson to leave the firm, deep down I knew and she definitely knew that her time will come to depart from the firm just like the rest of them that came before her.
