As a former north easterner, people take our bluntness and willingness to not beat around bush, thus directness as sometimes being harsh or being an a-hole. People would rather hear a comforting lie than a direct truth. And as always, remember that we live in a society where a large amount of people don't know which bathroom to use. So if you're pizzing those people off, you're probably doing something right. And just did a 40% oil swap with VRP, looking good so far.
Joey86, I would much rather you tell me the direct truth so that I can take a corrective action, if need be. If you sugar-coat it, I may think everything’s hunky-dory, when in fact it is not.
Just to clarify "40% VRP Oil Swap"... What is the other 60%? (Maybe a Valvoline Advanced, or Extended Protection?) Maybe just a "Top Off" after a combo of excessive burn, leak, or Oil Filter Change? About how long into the Interval if that is the case? My Saturn ION had been burning Oil for years when I finally decided to change to VRP this summer. It didn't burn any Oil after that and the Filter/Oil looked clean after 700 miles... Had Oil Analysis on that vehicle going back years... Wish I had taken a sample before I retired it Last Month. Suspect the Wear Numbers would have looked like its "Pre-Burn" days... 20/20 Hindsight... I'd had the VRP for over 3 months before the change... Kind of wish I'd just "topped off" with it back in March... Might have seen some nice results even with a "Semi-VRP Blend". Think I'm going to be doing that from now on for all my 5W30 equipment like the Lawnmower, Snowblower...
Coming up on my second VRP oil change soon Cant wait to cut open the filter. Replaced Moms Honda 0-20w w/VRP/air filter cleaned map/ after 800miles she said It has more power on a 140,000 mile CRV maybe nex month give it a change. So far so GRRREAT

Fully Agree OLM can sometimes be WAY off base. My 2003 Saturn ION was 6000 miles / 6 months (OLM could run 6-8K miles) and Oil Analysis often came back with good results (on the Full Synthetics at least). My 2014 GMC Terrain AWD (2.4L Ecotec, GDI) has 7500 miles/12 months OLM and GM apparently hasn't/isn't taking the issue of Fuel Dilution seriously enough. After 3K miles/8 months I had like 5.5% Fuel Dilution and the Oil was "done" (OLM was @ 56%). Glad I didn't wait longer... In Months or Mileage. There are so many GM Ecotec 2.4L's out there with problems (Bad Timing Chains, Clogged VVT Solenoids, etc.)... The OLM is just driving people to destroy their vehicles. After My Fuel Dilution problem... I need to stick with something like 3000 miles/ 3-5 months. Although maybe under 2000 miles (3000 km) ain't a bad rule either. Better Safe then Sorry
So for someone who just gets the oil changed every 4k uses synthetic. How do you even know if I don’t do it myself ? It’s 5.7 L sequoia 190k miles. Is it a question to ask. What’s an indicator that the engine is dirty.
my neighbor from across the street came over to tell me i was making too much noise with my electric leaf blower because i was turning it on and off too much i needed to keep it on one steady noise level like his mega backpack gas powered leaf blower because it was disturbing his wife working at home, I blew my leaves for 15 minutes once in a week the guy next door to me came out and i said the guy across the street says i am too loud with my leaf blower he said he could not even hear it in his house so is it just me or is it kinda stupid to complain someone is using their quiet leaf blower in middle of day?
thank you for good maintenance practice

Think blow by is what dirties the oil on old cars. So i go by the color. My oil may only last 3 months or 2000 miles. I don't mind.
@michaeltiza232 this i agree color is the key
Very important to change the cartridge filter before the required oil change, since it collaspes earlier than you think.
Depends which filter purolater and even fram hold up very nicely

everyone should also change their PCV Valve to prevent oil leaks as that also can get carboned up
@fortnite360HZ for sure. I problem is no one asked for maintenance and it should be top of mind awareness

liqui moly engine flush then change oil and filter 1 time at 1500 miles and then again around 2000 miles and then 3000 after that

The filters I use Purolator BOSS top filters and I do my oil changes every 3000 km not oil life which is a BS system

Tony are you using bulk oil . I see the tank.
Check out his other videos he uses Valvoline and makes special trip to Wal Mart to get it for his customers for everyone else he uses bulk
@@captainbeyond4350 we stock bulk synthetic blend 5/20 we also stock Valveoline Restore protect full synthetic

Check your oil right after an oil change. Mine is still amber clean after 100 miles. If it was dirty I'd immediately change the oil and filter again

Tell your neighbor to have his wife unlock his balls from her purse.
Just yell WHAT???? And cup your hand to your ear. Repeat with whatever he says till he gives up or can't scream anymore
