My taste has changed over the years . From getting stronger and stronger 1000 d with stiff back plate , to lighter and lightweight straps and no backplate . Cutting out any laptop cushion, freeing up space and weight and more squishy . At moment a berghaus munro with frame removed and some strap cut removed , not quite perfect but close? My journey started to change with cutting out all the foam out from a fjallraven raven 28 . Am i alone ?
Hmm I don’t personally modify my bags but I know some people who do. It’s a risk/reward game at the end of the day, but if you know what you like/want, can be HIGH reward.
@@CarryologyTV Sure . Everybody is different, I like tinkering/ modifying, I treat it as a hobby. Your video has given us all a lot of ideas. Greetings from Scotland.
No mention of the starting weight of these bags? Particularly for "one bag travel" this is a super important metric. The Peak Design travel bag for example has a base weight that's like 1/4 of your allowance before you even start packing it...
When I travel in these 2 year I bring with me the atd1 supply. It give me the space that I need and it can transform in a good hike option or in the 20l daybag, but when I must leave its will hold a ton of stuff with no problem
The 1.5 evade . Full if ya want the laptop holder lte if ya don't care about that if ya cycle or work construction the beaver tail is the best on the market as well
3 months of research looking at all the top brands . I came across a video titled something along the lines of . My top 8 best edc back packs and finally fount my unicorn that flat out checked all my boxes
@@michaelwood5704 I also love the Unicorn versions they made, but have you checked out the AEL brand? They literally made the perfect EDCs, especially the AEL022 or AEL222.
Solo all star hybrid is my EDC and I just won $250 Solo gift for doing there survey so I’ll get a couple more. Good all around backpack with shoulder strap and built lite so it does wear out faster than I’d like.
@@CarryologyTV Ah yes, i see the confusion I meant to ask, as a musician, what bag suggestions would you recommend for traveling. Not asking for an instrument bag
I'm currently rocking a North Face Recon as an engineer. But I also use that bag for everything, travel, day hikes, EDC, cycling, etc.
Great backpack

Multi function purpose, and/or while pulling off a cleaner look.🤙🏽

Good call out. We’ll think of this for the next one. And great example for people to consider!

That Chrome bag looks like a Buran as opposed to a Citizen. I noticed a carry handle and zips on the back face
I could not possibly imagine watching this video at anything slower than 2x
We’re glad you have the option for it!
2.25x was Perfect 😂
Bro sounded like a fuckin witness under protection program hahahaha
Dynamic video!
Alpha 1 9er is a unicorn edc backpack

I was honestly looking and about to spend 400 plus dollars on some high end edc back packs that didn't check all my boxes

“I worry what you just heard was: ‘Give me a lot of Velcro’ What I said was: ‘Give me all the Velcro you have.’”
How did you get the Peak Design bag in that awesome color?!?
It’s the huckberry x peak travel bag. It maybe sold out but check huckberry periodically if you’re into it!
Fantastic video!! Can you provide a link to the French brand you mentioned twice?
Yes! Links are in the description to all bags. BDC has some EPIC bags. Might be more content coming related 👀

Hey man, great video.
I’m a saxophone player/videographer, is there a list of 5 bags you would recommend?
Hmm this is a bit of an odd challenge. I’m partial to saying you might want a special bag for your sax and another for your edc gear
@@CarryologyTV Ah yes, i see the confusion

Not asking for an instrument bag
Speaking of gear…. who makes that over shirt?
Topo Design insulated shirt jacket. One of my favs
8:07 "smaller than a teen gets really tight to be honest"
Smaller than 18*
Chimera is my daily carry, gonna have to be something real special to pry me off it
Great EDC bag
