"Mutual agreement" is the current buzz word it seems 😂 In saying that I do think a subtle different between DRX and C9 is THAT DRX aren't known for doing stupid stuff like this whereas C9 is. This paired with the fact that c9 benched both a proven fragger and a crazy igl in the pre-season whereas DRX benched a player who isn't their IGL (as far as I'm aware) and wasnt fragging out of the world either
Yeah although it leaves a bad taste, drx dropping athan seems fair cause they need a better team and beyn was better while c9 just dont have a clue wtf they r doing.
@@lirinnaufalI still wonder last year why did they bench flashback and took beyn in the team, After that stax left, but somehow drx did good without their igl
@@areenbhalekar949 Flashback being benched was due to personal reasons and his choice. BeyN was another academy player and he did well in aspects such as keeping up team morale even if he didn't frag out. Stax leaving was out of his own accord since he didn't want to IGL, but ironically he is now IGL of T1 so maybe there's a change of heart there. Overall, BeyN is an improvement over Athan who felt very lukewarm on results and fragging. Maybe he needs some more time in Tier 2 since he was looking like the Korean Yuran (former ZETA player before being transferred to Sengoku Gaming).
Agreed. People were flaming Potter in '23 cause of the failure of results. But then again DRX at least made it international. EG didn't even do that iirc.
Nothing? Is being top 3 in your region and making an international and placing top 6 not a dream for some coaches especially considering he's changed up the team and done it so many times

am not minding the -athan +beYn but it sucks to make this decision like 2 weeks before kickoff starts we don't really know much about what happened and why they benched athan or if he stepped down himself honestly i think beyn lets mako play more freeily is what i see it as but hey depends
Just saying, if Alecks coached DRX they would have won at least a Masters by now, but also it’s fair that they tried Athan during pre-season and they replaced Athan with Beyn who played decently
Ffs when is Termi going to be fired? His system works in such a way that they always get 4th - 6th. They should aim higher with the caliber of players they have
Ill be honest i dont think I've seen a val pro go back to cs and do anything relevant. Its always very odd to me. Especially when CS2 plays like CS2..? I wonder if it comes down to the structure of matches/scrims or other bts stuff, but i do wonder why Valorant has a lot of pros leaving/retiring when realistically the esports should be growing. Very curious how things will look in a few years
The esport is growing. These are pros who initially moved to valorant from other games and their tier 1 shelf life is over. He'd rather move back to cs than prove himself in academy or tier 2, which is respectable if he thinks moving to cs is more worth his specific time
all went back to cs was washed valorant players. And also it is better for EMEA pros just play cs than play valorant. because lot of EMEA orgs import American players🤡

It just baffles me that they would even do this right before the start of the season. Like you had the entire offseason to make this crucial roster decision and you do it NOW? It’s not that the move was bad, it’s that DRX need to make up their goddamn minds.
@taxavation obviously Ita baffelingg that they would even get a new roster in the first place but maybe they kept beyn in the academy team as a reserve and already have practice with him so its not as bad
At this point, I'm assuming he's actually trolling. How fucking hard is it to say SIN PRISA, and NOT SIN PRASA.
Bring back Sin Prisa so i can hear he gonna pronounce that name all the time when season starts

@ hmm, maybe flashback backed out due to school or whatever I guess, but stax and then buzz leaving made a major change in the team
the difference between drx and c9 is that drx can actually back their decisions by qualifying for international events
bro termi should be in trial for fraudulent activities, bro has produced NOTHING in the past 2 years as a coach

i made a long ahh thesis on why termi sucks and then youtube just deletes it, great

DRX: Alright, firstly we will be removing BEYN and add Athan to the roster, and then we remove Athan and add BEYN to the roster.
Perfectly plan
BeYN is insane, im very happy for him, unfortunate for Athan though.

Because Riot is owned by china and Valve is american ✌️
Cloud9 drops people without their info. Athan stepped down because he wasn’t performing.
