Looked like you & Skinner had a great trip. Fishing with lures on top for Bass has always been one of my favorite things to do. Have caught hundreds of Bass over the years that way. 👍👍
great video as usual from this account. very interesting retrieve and good fish. you don't see a lot of bucktails getting worked that close to the surface. maybe albie fishing.
Thanks Mike. I'm hoping this week. Went to boatyard today and hoping paint will start Wednesday or Thursday. It's a tough time to launch with all the boats awaiting Spring commissioning

In the Chesapeake Bay and the James River in Va,top water action with buck-tails gets crazy also.I have caught and released thousands over the years.

I had nothing else with me that day unfortunately

Funny how this one you "give Sinner a lot of credit" for bringing 6 rods, and last week it was your pet peeve when people bring too many rods! 😂
I brought two lol. I am a minimalist when it comes to fishing. I can't do many techniques. He can so it makes sense he can bring more rods
i guess this took place before he switched to the mossy minnows, match the hatch. The bucktails matched the profile of the rain bait and there you go.
Correct. The 41 pounder was caught a few days after this
Is that my new reel ?
Hahahha, no
top water action but close to the bottom ?
Nope....everything was right on top or inches below surface
THANKS
you need to start a charter boat no one is more wiiser than yo make that money
TOP WATER ?????????
Yes, the bucktail was always within a foot of surface. So not what you'd consider a traditional top water, ie a plug
just goes to show how many fish can be caught is a cheap boat!
