    Mt Makiling. My fav Mountin. Climbed it 15-20x but only used the UPLB trail. early 2000s when peak 2 was so wide that it can handle 60+ tents. But it was hit by a storm and was closed for a few years then PEak 2 was just 10% of what it was. still fun to climb. Limatik City :D

    Thanks for this vlog. I’m planning to do the hike in Feb or March next year when I visit the Phil. Mr Makiling is a rainforest like the Olympic Mtns in WA state minus the leeches. I like your channel.

    Hello Nat that was real adventure on a tough and slippery path climb and you all did that successfully but what are the safety measures in case of emergency there? 👌❤️

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes Рік тому +2

      Hello! To climb the summit, a guide is required and they are trained in first aid. Each station also has contact numbers for emergency. Since this is also just a 10km hike one way, it would not be so hard to trail run down to get more people if someone needs to be lifted out of the trail due to an injury.

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes 10 місяців тому

      Hello, the brand was Columbia. For the exact model I am not sure, but best you find one depending on what types of hikes you plan to do? If its mostly in the Philippines and you may pass rivers etc, low to mid cut hiking shoes are enough. No need high boots. They will get really heavy if it gets wet.

      Hello, thanks for reaching out. You should be getting an email. Maybe check spam? And normally will receive it a week before the hike.
      It should be something like this:

This is to inform you that we have successfully booked your visit and have assigned a member of RescueKidz to accompany your MMFR Summit trek. @@TheTravellingFoxesI’ve just read through this as I had the same question. I’ll be keying for the Philippines in 1 month and booked 4 people for Mount Makiling Summit on April 19th. I haven’t gotten any confirmation that my booking went through. As it is a planned trip with foreigners (we are 3 Swiss and 1 Thai) I need to plan well ahead. Do you know if there’s someone I could contact to confirm the booking. As I’d need a plan B in case it doesn’t work out 🙏
      Thank you so much for the video! Superbly informative!
      I’m facing the same issue at Mount Pinatubo, apparently now a registration with the tourism board is required…
