1980, I bought a '71 9 passenger Plymouth Sports Wagon 440 4v from a nearby Lincoln/Mercury dealer for $250. It only had 48k miles but no wholesaler wanted it because of the big block engine. It also was brown, and I drove it until 1994 and sold it to a co-worker for $1250. Only one transmission rebuild, and one timing chain replaced were the only things that ever went wrong with the car. The car had 249K miles when I sold it.
