Shimoda is a city on the southeastern Izu peninsula, in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture. The place is very popular due to its amazing sandy beaches and other nice attractions. Shimoda city is 4 hours journey by train from Tokyo. It is possible to go their by car as well.
During summer you can make a 2-3 days trip with your dear ones to Shimoda city. You will definitely like the place and its amazing natural surroundings!
