+TNT Amusement Inc Todd, you showed a small glimpse of my very first racing game when you were leading the 📷 and Frank to the Pole Position arcade machine. The old, original, 1990s Cruis'n USA arcade game. I have the Nintendo 64 home port for it.
Merry Christmas Todd & Co. Add as many +5v and GNDs as possible (there's 3 points total) to each board to even the load on the AR2's and disconnect from the edge connector. Also, there's an NVRAM mod you can do to avoid any battery. Mine's just developed its first fault in 2 years after the mods. Its been to many shows in the UK and played by the public 1000's of times. Could do with a new G07 tube now.
Transam4000 There could be any type of monitor in the game....you have to buy the kit for that brand...look for the model number. The PCB cage is not needed...but makes a convenient way to keep the board safe.
El diseño de esta maquina es guapo pero a mi personalmente me gusta mas el diseño versión Española de sega sonic un saludo que te sigue desde España un saludo amigo mio
Well, for now we are sticking with Lithium. We have been doing them since 1999-2000 when we switched over to them. They last 5-6 years and are easy as pie to change!
The BIGGEST problem now is actually THREEFOLD! The horrible leaking battery has ruined hundreds of boards. And the silver legs on the custom chips are falling off! (Same problem on Galaga boards). You see, real silver are in those legs back then...and they tarnish and turn black and then rot away! We remove each chip and with a small fiberglass eraser, we clean both sides of the chip. If a leg or two are moving and weak, we then add a dab of silver solder to it. BUT---if several fall off immediately, that's pretty much curtains for that chip! PLUS---many servicemen will tell you the boards were failing when the game was only a year or two old!!
TNT Amusements Inc Don't forget about the edge connectors that burn from too much current & the 20 amp fuse holder that burns up & the bridge rectifier in the base power supply will also fail...haha
Shinjikun Logic board is bad...Eldorado Games may be able to fix it...also know I have seen listings on ebay for a flat charge to repair these boards as long as there is no battery damage.
Hi John ,can u help me here ,I bought a fruit machine and it has battery in it for tha memory,,,,will it leak after time ,it's 2008 machine ,cause if tha board gets damaged I'm beat ,
yeah and while Pinball Arcade uses them as what to go to for all their pinball apps. they still put the alkalines in there. So if they bothered to give a ***** about keeping pinball alive oh I got into them over it. Fine leave the old lights in but running it with those batteries even if they claim to switch them out every year is like snipping off the plug ripping the two ends apart and sticking it in the socket and see what happens when it's raining X_X
A WORKING Pole Position! Good job resurrecting it as you always see a ton of dead ones..... Merry Christmas guys!
Merry Christmas to you too!! Yes...for every PP rebuilt, there are two others that are junked.

Why does Pole Position get a bad wrap as being a game that is not dependable and a headache to try and keep running?
