0:07 I'm gonna do a preemptive like.... I'll be back later to discuss some things lol 14:29 Okay so, firstly, these kids got good taste in music. Secondly, this band has a crazy history with each other. Band members were dating each other and broke up with each other, one guy was going through a divorce. They all basically wrote hate songs about each other and the band performed them every night. The hardest thing to do is channel all your emotion into your art and in the face of everyone you're pissed at. I watched a Bon Jovi interview years ago and he talked about the best time to write a song is when you're at your worst. It takes a lot of balls to stay in a band you're on the outs with. They stuck it out and made history. That's fire.
This group provided a master class for HR. Drugs, alcohol, workplace relationships, jealousy/sabotages, sexual conflicts…and those were just stuff on stage. They were that talented.
@tomroome4118 The band's founder, Peter Green, came up with the name as an instrumental track title after recording with Fleetwood and McVie in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Green later suggested forming a new band with Fleetwood, and named it after the rhythm section to entice McVie to join. When Peter Green left the Bluesbreakers in 1967, he decided to form his own group, naming it Fleetwood Mac after the rhythm section he wanted for the band - Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Fleetwood joined up straight away, and slide guitar player Jeremy Spencer was recruited, but McVie preferred to stay with the Bluesbreakers, where he was earning a regular wage. In the meantime, Green hired Brunning on a temporary basis, hoping that McVie would change his mind. During this period, Brunning played with Fleetwood Mac at the Windsor Jazz and Blues Festival. After a few weeks McVie did change his mind, claiming that Bluesbreakers leader John Mayall was turning too far in the direction of jazz for his liking; hence, McVie joined, and Brunning stood down.

I grew up with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nick's. My mom's favorite group and artist. Rarely was there a day where it wasn't playing somewhere in the house. Even to this day I shes regularly jamming out to them.
I believe this was a sound check rehearsal before the show. They are all dressed super casually and there is no audience. They might have inhaled. They were truly a part of the times. Mick is crazy good when he lets loose. ✌ Pay attention, children. This is what good music is all about. Much is deep rooted in soul and jazz. Everybody bonds around music regardless of other beliefs. Neat huh?
Yes, the band is named after drummer Mick Fleetwood… AND the bassist John “Mac” McVie. John McVie wasn’t originally part of the fledgling Fleetwood Mac at the very, very beginning back in England, but Mick was so determined to “steal” McVie from another band, he put “Mac” in the band name as a , “See man, I want you to be our bassist so bad, I put you in the name!”… and it worked 😂
Stevie is a rock-n-roll queen and her voice is iconic. She is one of the three lead singers of Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham (the lead guitar, guy in the white and her former lover - they have a HUGE history and wrote songs about each other) has his own songs and and then there's the lovely Christy McVee on keyboards who also has her own songs. (RIP Christy) Please keep going with them! Mick Fleetwood (drums and who is quite the character), John McVee and Christy McVee are from Britain and Mick and John came to America to find a new lead guitar and discovered Lindsey. Lindsey said he couldn't join the group without Stevie. So there you have it ... well, there's a ton more to their story. I'm waiting for the movie. lol
I commented a couple videos ago about how I think you and your wife are amazing reviewing or reacting together. I love how you bring your family into this. Truly love that. Much respect.
Yes,Mick Fleetwood is the drummer, and the Mac part came from the McVee's, John on bass guitar, and wife Christine on keyboards, all early members. After a few releases and a couple of albums,Mick was looking for new members to replace a couple of them they'd lost. He heard Lindsay Buckingham's guitar playing and loved it wanting him to join, but he would not join without his girlfriend and partner singer Stevie Nicks, and when they first came to meet the band and see how well they meshed, they all hit it off great, and Stevie and Christine were BFF's right away. Taking turns on singing various songs and writing in particular. Christine passed fairly recently, and we miss her much. My favorite song of Fleetwood Mac before Lindsay and Stevie joined is called "Hypnotized". Hauntingly beautiful. Fleetwood Mac is one of my top favorite bands, and Stevie is my favorite female vocalist, following her solo career. Glad everyone is experiencing and enjoying these wonderful songs and artists.💜💃👍😎💜
Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass) are the founding members of the band and who it's named for. They added Lindsey Buckingham (guitar, vocals), Christine Perfect (keyboards, accordion). Christine (RIP) later married John McVie. Stevie Nicks (vocals) was added at Buckingham's recommendation.
That guy looking at Stevie Nicks is the guy she wrote it about. As the meme goes, Taylor Swift writes songs about her ex, Stevie Nicks makes her's sing backup vocals.
Mick Fleetwood is a great drummer. This piece may be simple, but he's capable of doing just about anything. It just depends what the song requires. I don't recall anyone ever being mean to Stevie about her voice, and I grew up listening to these guys, and have seen them twice in concert. They had problems, but it had a lot to do with husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend swapping than anything creative. Lindsey Buckingham is the guitarist, and he's incredible. They were actually all awesome! Stevie had a successful solo career as well.
Stevie's first name is actually Stephanie. She wasn't able to pronounce Stephanie when she was a little girl. She always said it as "Stevie" and it stuck. Another interesting bit about Stevie was that her grandfather was a country western singer/performer in the 1940's and 50's. He would travel around to fairs, festivals and small venues near their hometown of Tucson, Arizona and perform. Stevie learned how to sing and play guitar sitting at her grandfather's knee. So she came from a musical (at least as far as her granddad) background. I personally have always loved Stevie's voice. I think it's beautiful.
This song, ‘Dreams’ is off of their 1977 ‘Rumours’ album. Largely regarded as one of the best rock albums of all time. Mick Fleetwood was divorcing his wife, the McVies were also in the middle of a divorce and Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham (guitarist) were only speaking when they were writing music. This is probably the greatest breakup album of all time.
One of the best bands to ever be. Stevie Nicks has such an incredible voice. But the band is so talented. This is an incredible song, amongst many! The group is named after John McVie (bass) and drummer Mick Fleetwood. Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham were a duo who joined the band. Christine McVie is on piano and was married to John. The group has had a lot of inner turmoil. Lindsey & Stevie began to fall apart at the same time John & Christine did and the music they made became their biggest selling - RUMOURS. Many of the songs are written about their relationships within the band. All that resentment, anger & sadness became fuel for incredible writing.
More Fleetwood Mac please ❤👌🏼 you make loving fun - Christine Mcvie ( piano and singing ) Big Love - Lindsey Buckingham ( gitar and Singing ) Silver Springs - Stevie Nicks ( wrote the song about Lindsey Buckingham) All live from the concert The Dance 👌🏼❤️
This 58-year-old grew up on classic rock, too! Love that you did!! Southern rock my true favorite back then, but I loved me some soul music just as much!!
The first incarnation of Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 and they were more of a blues band. The line up changed but still had drummer mick Fleetwood. The classic album, which basically everyone interested in music bought at the time, was "Rumours" released in 1977. I was lucky enough to see them at Wembley - must have been 1980. Mick was a tremendous drummer - and supported the whole of the band and not overwhelmed. It's all about the sum of all the parts. Need to react to the Chain
Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were a couple that were braking up at the time, and Mic Fleetwood was going thru a divorce with his wife, and John and Christine McVie in the band were also going thru a divorce, all stayed with the band and made for lots of drama and interesting music!
Mick Fleetwood and Peter MacVie ("vee"), the bassist, combined their names to make Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood had his "drum face" like guitar players have a "guitar face" and quite often played with his mouth open but, he wasn't yawning. He was just deep into the groove. Fleetwood was a terrific drummer who could play as complex as you like but, also understood the importance of keeping a simple, steady rhythm and letting it support the song and not overpower it. So many "good" drummers do not have the ability/discipline to just play this simple of a beat for an extended period of time. They try to add fills and break from the main beat because they're either bored, incapable or just too undisciplined and having a drummer that actually gives the song what it *needs* rather than what you *think* it needs is a real rarity. 😊
Mick Fleetwood is considered to be one of the greats of drumming. You're right, he could do that beat in his sleep. Good to see you checking out Fleetwood Mac and the enchanting Stevie Nicks.
Much respect Krizz. Awesome to see you getting the lads on and exposing them to sounds they would likely never come across by themselves. If you like the 70's Soft Rock vibe then I would love to recommend a genre you may not have even come across yourself - "Aussie Pub Rock". This is a sound which started in the 70's went through the 80's and into the 90's. It's not completely dead but very uncommon now. We're talking bands such as Cold Chisel, Rose tattoo, Midnight Oil, Icehouse, Little River Band (LRB) just to name a few. And many of the members of these bands also went on to have successful solo careers - John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss. John & Jimmy (affectionate called "Farnzie & Barnzie" by fans) even did a colab album of songs with a blues feel to it. The thing with Jimmy is it is hard to believe someone who has such a poweful rough scream (watch "Working Class Man") can also control that weapon to do such a delicate ballard in "Stone Cold". Here's a list of what could be considered a primer for Aussie Pub Rock and individuals' solo careers. I love you mentioning how people made fun of Stevie because of her unusual low tembre voice. Seems they're the ones who make their friends "eat crow". Mitch Grasse of the award winning a capella group, Pentatonix, talks about how people made fun of his counter tenor voice when he was in high school. Then he skipped his high school graduation to audition with friends for The Sing Off a capella competition show & they won! The judges were amazed by his beautiful & angelic counter tenor voice! Now they have 3 Grammy Awards and 5 nominations, and are the only a capella group with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! There are other absolutely amazing a capella groups (Home Free & Voice Play are the 2 biggest & I think you'd enjoy both very much! Especially Voice Play as they've been doing some amazing rock & gaming songs strictly a capella lately! Voctave is also a great a capella performer but they're more of small choir than a group. But Christmas is coming & Pentatonix OWNS Christmas! ❤), but Pentatonix opened the door & set the bar for a capella in mainstream music! 😊💕
Dreams has always been a fav. It is a whole mood in itself. Great to meet Kriss and Alex as well. Their confidence and dignity are so impressive. I know you are proud. Thanks for the reaction video.
Hey Krizz, Watched your Santana reaction, the connection to Fleetwood Mac is: The original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green (check them out) Peter Green wrote "Black magic woman" which was a big hit for Santana, I would also say Peter Green is up there in terms legendary guitarists. BB King said Green was " the only living guitarist to make me sweat. He had the sweetest tone I've ever heard"
If you want to check out another track similar to this one from FleetwoodMac, I would recommend "Songbird." They also have a concert that they put on 97 called "The Dance" that is an absolute must see! Some of the highlights: "The Chain" (basically the band's anthem) "Big Love" "So Afraid" "Silver Springs" "Landslide" "Everywhere" "You Make Loving Fun" All showcase the various band members and you cant forget the grand finale, "Tusk" Encored by, "Don't Stop" I promise, you will not be disappointed! 😁
Stevie Nicks is the 1st Female to be Twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac & for her solo career . You'd recognize her song "Edge of Seventeen" from her solo career which has been sampled a lot . The Live version of that song from a HBO special from the 80's is classic . 😎
Back in the day, they had pure talent, no autotune, none of the stuff they have today to make those who have no singing talent and can't carry a tune in a bucket sound good just pure talent.
Buckingham doesn't use a pick on the guitar, but "Travis" finger picks the songs even on the guitar solos. Check out their other songs to see that. Do check out Nicks on Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac | The Midnight Special back in 1976.

I'm waiting for the movie. lol
Stevie Nicks is/was beautiful.. velvety voice
Love Stevie's voice. So unique. I grew up listening. 😂❤
I commented a couple videos ago about how I think you and your wife are amazing reviewing or reacting together. I love how you bring your family into this. Truly love that. Much respect.
If I remember right this song is about the guitar player Lindsey Buckingham
Born in 86... listen to literally everything. Grew up in the sticks of WA.
It's my favorite group of al time. I'm 75 yrs old and still play their greatest hits CD in my car. ❤️❤️❤️
This is my favorite!
So happy to see a new video!!! Thank you for the content 😊
It’s funny that the two most popular in the band are the 2 that the band isn’t named for! Nobody sang like her!
It became popular again a few years ago on tiktok from a guy riding the skateboard drinking Ocean Spray Cranberry juice
Nice reaction, The drummer Mick Fleetwood and Base player John McVie were considered one of the best percussion/bass duos of the time.
My favorite group of all time! Classic!
Cool!Showing them the good stuff😊Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
This song, ‘Dreams’ is off of their 1977 ‘Rumours’ album. Largely regarded as one of the best rock albums of all time. Mick Fleetwood was divorcing his wife, the McVies were also in the middle of a divorce and Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham (guitarist) were only speaking when they were writing music. This is probably the greatest breakup album of all time.
you have ALL of that empty space above your heads to fit a bigger video screen in.
I grew up in the 70's & 80's. I'm 52. Love my oldies!!
Kriss you need to do a cover man. Your pipes are crazy.
More Fleetwood Mac please
❤👌🏼
you make loving fun - Christine Mcvie ( piano and singing )
Big Love - Lindsey Buckingham ( gitar and Singing )
Silver Springs - Stevie Nicks ( wrote the song about Lindsey Buckingham)
All live from the concert The Dance 👌🏼❤️
Stevie is the absolute Queen of rock. Nobody can touch her
The bass player John McVie and keyboardist/vocalist Christin McVie who were married are where the Mac part of the name came from
I got to see them in concert before Christine died but after she came back so I got to see the whole line up THEY ARE SO FUCKIN GOOD
This 58-year-old grew up on classic rock, too!
Keen to seen Alex & Chris' reaction to them:

(Funny story on this one. The chant the crowd is singing was never actually written by the band. It was something a random someone shouted at one of their concerts & it stuck and became a tradition when the song is played live - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Am_I_Ever_Gonna_See_Your_Face_Again)

I didn’t care for them when I was young but I appreciate them now in my 60’s!
Drummers make funny faces. Enjoyed your reaction!
Fantastic song from a fantastic album.
Fleetwood ain’t yawnin’, he geeked out on Coke… Hahaha
That’s how Mick rolled. 😂 Love this reaction.
I don't know who they is? Stevie is short for Stephanie..... and everyone I know loves her voice!! The drummer is the founder of the band!
Stevie Nicks dated the lead guitarist , off and on,, since the band formed. They are touring right now. "Silver Springs" is a great song.
Stevie Nicks is a Goddess and such a huge influence in my life. The good the bad and the ugly. I LOVE HER 😭❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
To break down “the chain” will blow your mind. This is a classic
Dreams has always been a fav. It is a whole mood in itself. Great to meet Kriss and Alex as well. Their confidence and dignity are so impressive. I know you are proud. Thanks for the reaction video.
Hey Krizz,
Watched your Santana reaction, the connection to Fleetwood Mac is: The original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green (check them out) Peter Green wrote "Black magic woman" which was a big hit for Santana, I would also say Peter Green is up there in terms legendary guitarists. BB King said Green was " the only living guitarist to make me sweat. He had the sweetest tone I've ever heard"
Straight to bed with nooo supperrrr
Love it man
Check out leather and lace by Fleetwood Mac
Hey Krizz check out Fleetwood Mac Silver Springs
Stevie's voice was awesome.
She’s singing this to the Drummer ! Total Shade 😂
If you want to check out another track similar to this one from FleetwoodMac, I would recommend "Songbird."
They also have a concert that they put on 97 called "The Dance" that is an absolute must see! Some of the highlights:
"The Chain" (basically the band's anthem)
"Big Love"
"So Afraid"
"Silver Springs"
"Landslide"
"Everywhere"
"You Make Loving Fun"
All showcase the various band members and you cant forget the grand finale,
"Tusk"
Encored by, "Don't Stop"
I promise, you will not be disappointed! 😁
You got part of it... Fleetwood from Mick Fleetwood and Mac from John 'Mc'Vie! 😃
GREAT band. Deep rabbit hole.
When you say that they ridiculed Stevie’s voice, I would be very interested to learn who “they” were. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
Mick Fleetwood was known for opening his mouth while drumming. Paul McCartney took him off in his music video for the song “coming up”.
the way you break down the music for us is life.. ty for your content, it is well appreciated.. GrammyMa
I wore this album out. Spilled A glass of vino on the second copy. Three is a magic number...still have it.😁
Stevie Nicks is the 1st Female to be Twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac & for her solo career . You'd recognize her song "Edge of Seventeen" from her solo career which has been sampled a lot . The Live version of that song from a HBO special from the 80's is classic . 😎
BP sent me, but I'm glad i came! Great song and great reaction ❤😊 🔥
Mac comes from John and Christine Mcvie.Bass guitarist and keyboard player.
Stevie is one of my favorite female singers love Fleetwood Mac. Mic Fleetwood is the drummer . Lindsey Buckingham is the lead guitar Lindsey and Stevie lived together for along time. React to Silver Springs live it’s about their breakup it’s so good Your son has good taste in music
Play then “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac.
A lot of skating rinks played this in the 80's
Y’all probably heard it on TikTok. More Fleetwood Mac, they are SO good
❤ seen in concert twice have albums awesome ❤❤
Fleetwood Mac has a long history even before Lindsey and Stevie joined.
