Your current set up is so so beautiful, but honestly it’s even more impressive that you built your platform in your old, cramped, non ideal house :’) You deserve everything!! 💖
it was definitely a lot, but i’m very grateful for the home and memories there. One of my fav videos i’ve ever made is my college house tour. If anyone is a recent subscriber, i highly recommend it :))
Another reason why your content usually feels very "comfy" to me is actually how your videos are edited. Obviously the aesthetics are important too, but a lot of youtube videos have zoom ins and quick editing, while your videos are more slower paced (in a nice way). So even people who dont share the same "aesthetic" as you can experience calm when watching your videos!
Someone suggested your channel to me a while ago, but this may be the first video I'm watching. Love the vibe! Have you ever made a video of how to best move with plants?
thank u! i moved with my plants from northern california to southern california last year. I tried recording the process but as u might know, filming makes the task take so much longer so i decided against it lol. Before my move, I collected a bunch of boxes because I knew i was going to have to transport my plants. I put the plants in the boxes but kept the top open to prevent the plants from falling over. To make them rlly snug in the box, I used tshirts to fill in the gaps which also helped me pack some of my clothes lol. I used a uhaul tho cause i have so many plants haha
I would also add to the colours of your textiles: The reason why light blue hues work with your brown sheets: looking at brown ( and beige-ish) they are a muted and brighter shade of orange. The complementary colour on the colourwheel to orange is blue. So by combining these you have a colour palette that is working and reading well together. (Seen often in movies too, warm foregroud, blueish toned down background) Taking the next step from that you can do that with any colour! Say green is dominating your room, add some small pops of contrary colour (in this case red/magenta) and it makes the green stand out more, aswell make the accents stand out. Saying that I would stick to 80% main colour and 20% accent colours. Anyway thats just a little input in playing with a minimal colour palette. I forgot about that tbh... I will be looking out for these too when I'm putting together the next place 🤗
Thank you so much for this comment!!! The blue thing got me thinking, I was so confused because something was telling me it couldn't work but it does work! I was pretty sure it would make my space feel cooler but now I know how to use this trick. My room is mostly white & fake oak with black accents, and the predominant colors aside from those are soft warm yellow (that I love because of the bright and warm and positivity it brings) and of course green because plants. I'll try to introduce some muted lilac tones and see how does it work. Thank you again!
i love the way you know yourself, you have a great vision for what you prefer and why so (like choosing a fluffy bedding because it looks comfy without being made and follows your lightweight style)
Dude, the algorithm has blessed me with this. I’ve been interested in making cozy space, your aesthetic is top notch, and your soft spoken quality makes the whole thing almost an asmr vibe. Subscribed
Perhaps this style is the "Modern Organic style" of interior design. The Organic Modern style is a harmonizing hybrid that blends modern minimalism with nature's beauty. This on-trend design duo introduces warm neutral tones, rich textures and natural materials into cool contemporary spaces for a nurturing yet elegant aesthetic-the best of both worlds.
You are very softly spoken and have a beautiful voice. I needed to watch something to relax before bed time and your video is exactly that. I, like many others, adore you decor. It’s very peaceful and cosy. All the best.
This type of content is something that would instantly take me out of a panic attack, your voice and room are so soothing, and I like how this video isn’t fast paced
Finally getting my own room this month since my brother is moving out. I’ve had to share a room with my mother for so many years and I’m so excited to able to decorate my own space so this some nice inspo
@@bageljade2165 hi! had some mishaps along the way with moving dates so it got pushed back but I got the room totally for myself now ^_^ plus I got permission to expand my plant collection throughout the house and our kitchen looks like a mini rainforest cafe now haha
I think it's a deeply ingrained connection to nature that makes us love having plants indoors:). Our ancestors millions of years ago lived among and with plants (when they had no distinction between indoors and outdoors, their home WAS the outdoors) so I think it just feels natural to have plants around you and there's a certain comfort that comes from a remnant of past evolution! Just my take on it tho
I pibe this guys voice. So many youTubers are yelling at the screen this voice is very soothing. Lol which is perfect because I came to this video to look for soothing things (bedrooms) 😊
there are studies stating those who spend more time outdoors exposed to sunlight and plants live longer lives. i agree on the being woken up by sun. it’s just good for you. also the lanterns giving ghibli vibes is so true i wish i had a terrace it definitely looks super cozy. i love the chic interior designer eye you soo clearly have lol it’s pretty. love your choice of pots. you’ve definitely set intention for your space and it’s really pretty to see. it matches your calm sweet demeanor. you’re green thumb is admirable seriously i’ve had a fiddle leaf for maybe 2 years now and it’s not seeing very much improvement ☹️ but i literally can’t complain coz i’m not the best plant mom i need to do better! i had a total plant phase in 2020 but all i have to show for it is my fig tree, my aloe monster which i’m actually proud of coz it had so many babies, and some succulent trailing plants. not terrible but iffy. not even my pathos survived 😵💫 your dog being named dave is cracking me up
I LOVE the way you speak. Your place and videos reflects your persona so well! For fluffy beddings you see in ID pictures, the trick they use is having 2 duvets instead of 1!
Totally with you about the lights! Right now I’m poor so lights from Amazon it is! They are very bright but I’m getting used to it lol. I’m crocheting a mushroom pillow for my couch in the next couple months! Working on a summer tank top right now. Also working on a plant UA-cam as well!
I was feeling super anxious when I clicked on your video - it just popped and I thought why not. You and your beautiful home made me feel safe (&cosy) and I wanted to say thank you for bringing me out of that anxious spell❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think your apartment is a really calm cozy space and I find my room really cozy as wel but its almost the opposite because I like dark reds, black basically everything that is dark and warm. and for me posters can defently make a room more cozy. and I absolutely love Ikea they are just so great
My cozy is eclectic order, with few constants but little that isn't needed. I was raised in a disordered home, so finally having control over the disorder is innately satisfying.
grow lights are soooo great! I live in a zero window basement and I have two long grow lights attached to one one shelf. Most of my plants are low light and they are doing wonderful!!!!
after watching your video I noticed that my plant pots look way to bold, idk how to describe it. but I now know what I'd rather look for the next time I go plant & pot shopping. love your style choices. very inspiring! Best wishes and greetings from Germany : )
Thanks for the tips honestly comapring my large desk whit 1 large and 2 small plants comapred to this literal jungle is pretty ovbius, definitely going on an plant shopping spree tomorrow.
This is such a lovely video ❤ as someone who can’t be in sunlight for health reasons, I’m trying to do whatever I can to make my space cozy even w/o it an₱ your vids have been a huge inspo for it!

LOL, this video is totally my vibe, plants love, warm light, woody materials, and Jazz music, which I adore.
uhm, the natural light from the windows is really helpful
You should do ASMR labeled videos about plant care and your different plants. Your energy is very calming.
I like your thoughts about cozy being different for everyone. I never thought of it quite like that before!
Hearing him talk about his connection with his plants was poetic holy shit. Headed to get my first plant tomorrow because of it
i love our aesthetic it makes me feel so warm and cozy

Plants and nature make you feel apart of something greater (life) and as such is an escape from the stressors of life. My two cents.
