thank u! i moved with my plants from northern california to southern california last year. I tried recording the process but as u might know, filming makes the task take so much longer so i decided against it lol. Before my move, I collected a bunch of boxes because I knew i was going to have to transport my plants. I put the plants in the boxes but kept the top open to prevent the plants from falling over. To make them rlly snug in the box, I used tshirts to fill in the gaps which also helped me pack some of my clothes lol. I used a uhaul tho cause i have so many plants haha
Another reason why your content usually feels very "comfy" to me is actually how your videos are edited. Obviously the aesthetics are important too, but a lot of youtube videos have zoom ins and quick editing, while your videos are more slower paced (in a nice way). So even people who dont share the same "aesthetic" as you can experience calm when watching your videos!
I would also add to the colours of your textiles: The reason why light blue hues work with your brown sheets: looking at brown ( and beige-ish) they are a muted and brighter shade of orange. The complementary colour on the colourwheel to orange is blue. So by combining these you have a colour palette that is working and reading well together. (Seen often in movies too, warm foregroud, blueish toned down background) Taking the next step from that you can do that with any colour! Say green is dominating your room, add some small pops of contrary colour (in this case red/magenta) and it makes the green stand out more, aswell make the accents stand out. Saying that I would stick to 80% main colour and 20% accent colours. Anyway thats just a little input in playing with a minimal colour palette. I forgot about that tbh... I will be looking out for these too when I'm putting together the next place 🤗

I was pretty sure it would make my space feel cooler but now I know how to use this trick. My room is mostly white & fake oak with black accents, and the predominant colors aside from those are soft warm yellow (that I love because of the bright and warm and positivity it brings) and of course green because plants. I'll try to introduce some muted lilac tones and see how does it work. Thank you again!

I think it's a deeply ingrained connection to nature that makes us love having plants indoors:). Our ancestors millions of years ago lived among and with plants (when they had no distinction between indoors and outdoors, their home WAS the outdoors) so I think it just feels natural to have plants around you and there's a certain comfort that comes from a remnant of past evolution! Just my take on it tho

Not sure how best to comment here without bombarding your comment section with a wall of text ... bear with me D: I think it would boil down to how you've integrated nature so well into your life ! :) Most of us find ourselves teetering between moments of cluttering and decluttering. The constant tug-of-war with material things and how we coexist with them is likely why minimalism trends and whatnot are so popular. You on the other hand, have seem to found yourself rooted in a comfy coexistence with all the different plants you've invited into your space. The special little ways you've learned to care for each plant (as special as each of them are) and how it's become a ritual for you has meaningful undertones ! It's almost like your relationship to your plants has become a vehicle for your spiritual growth ! It seems like these lil guys have taught you a lot about mindfulness. It shows in the way you speak and how you carry yourself. keep it up ! I might be reaching a bit with these comments but I promise they come from a good place :) good day, sir

The number of plants plants I have is no where close to yours but they already attract some flies and bugs(not a lot now, but I would imagine they may increase with more additions going forward)
not sure if you’ve figured this out yet. but while you treat current plants for pests make sure they’re social distanced and when bringing in a new plant keep them in a separate room or far away from your other plants for a few weeks to ensure they don’t have pests ! neem oil is also really good for gnats
I know you actually know what you are talking about because you also don't fully agree with Mario Kondo lmao, I read her book also and it was a lot of her claiming some intense practise and then walking it back 10 pages later, and a lot of just impractical advice not really founded in any logic or reason. I think your apartment is a really calm cozy space and I find my room really cozy as wel but its almost the opposite because I like dark reds, black basically everything that is dark and warm. and for me posters can defently make a room more cozy. and I absolutely love Ikea they are just so great

The calming effect of plants is evolutionary, even the colour green has been proven to have a positive/calming effect psychologically. ‘Biophilia’ is our biologically innate affinity for the natural world, which we have known solely for 95% of our existence as a species. Sadly, we’re not as well adjusted to most modern environments, so a love for plants is kind of like a calling to our true nature as living beings. (Think of distressed zoo animals outside of their natural habitat) P.S I discovered your channel recently and I find it so helpful for realising my own spaces, making for less stressful environments. I have many plants so it can get overwhelming… thanks for helping me remember that they can be artfully implemented
theo’s doing great!! he’s been messing with some propagations recently lol. I recently got new ~2 inch pots for propagations and he’s very interested in the pots. He’ll take the tiny pot and run all the way across the apartment to his bed and leave a trail of soil behind him lol. Luckily he doesn’t mess with the plants or soil tho (knock on wood)
