To all Opie & Anthony outsiders in the 2020's; THIS is the Opie we knew. This is why fans of the show are so fed up with Opie now, because he's the polar opposite of the guy he used to be. This is the guy that Jim Norton said was fun to hang out with. He just wasn't smart enough to pull off staying in character and being a family man simultaneously.
Its most annoying when he's trying to tell one of his stories and he pauses for a few seconds .. . then someone else will start talking but as soon as they do opie starts up his story again. Fucking annoys me soooo much when he does that.
I like how after Opie tramples over Jimmy, he tries to act like he did it on purpose. "I told you, he's roadkill today. We're just gonna keep running him over." First of all, what's this "we" shit? You're the only one who does that. Secondly, you didn't do it on purpose, you weren't even aware another person was talking. You never are.
Vos is so good at being the punching bag. I'm pretty sure he does it in purpose. I mean, hes really fucking dumb, but he plays it to his advantage. If he were just dumb and didn't open himself up he would have never been on O&A more than once.
Opie can try and justify his job all he wants. He could do every single thing off air that makes the show and it wouldn't matter. The fact of the matter is that him talking is a large percentage of the show. That's why people can't stand him and complain that he ruins it. He's better suited to be a producer but his ego never allowed that to happen. Instead he sits there and stomps on people's jokes with his same old bullshit or plays his ridiculously overused sound clips over and over again. It's also not a coincidence that the large majority of former employees openly trashed him after they left, especially Ant. He's incredibly lucky he stumbled upon Ant and then Jimmy. Otherwise, he never would have made it in Radio. Not a fuckin' chance.
+jrreogreugerugregreger This guy couldn't be more right. If Satan said the most wrong thing ever, this would be the total opposite. Opie was nothing more than a burden to Ant and Jimmy for the 10 years the show was on XM. The mood in the studio was absolutely euphoric in the last years of the show when he wasn't there to drag interesting conversation down...
I'm gonna have to say...after about 25 I stopped listening to music and only listen to podcasts when I work out. I dunno if it has to do with age, but I can't sit through a whole record or playlist anymore.
Thinking back did you ever enjoy listening to entire albums by yourself or were you always in the company of friends when doing so? I'm the same way and I think that matters.
6:56 Wow! There was a time when someone would actually acknowledge that Opie just tramples over people, especially lil Jimmy. I wonder if they even realize it still happens to this day.
Ol’ Greggshells passing on his wisdom. He _never_ let the “hAtErS” get to him. He _never_ read every single negative Paltalk comment about himself on air. He _loved_ when Than included clips of him in Bombs & Flubs. He _never_ took calls from listeners to yell at them for saying something bad about him. He _never_ had a mental breakdown when someone called him a Board Op. He was always known for having a thick skin and letting jokes roll off his back! “Really?? You wanna go?” Vos could definitely learn a thing or two from the Opester and his piss mist.
6:58 Of course Opie steps on a funny line. He doesn't even have comedic timing listening. And 16:33 What impressions do you do on the show Rich Little?
I wish they would do that more often. He fucking tramples over people ALL THE FUCKING TIME, it's so annoying. He really has no right to criticize Bobo.
I’m not sure if money would be enough for me in exchange for being bombarded non stop by the general population. People buy a ticket or pay for something and think they can say whatever they like. These halfway successful comics must have a rhino like hide to deal with constant s**t.
Most of the comics that were on the show then weren't very good. They were good at attacking each other and shit, but the stand up was hacky. Vos is 64 now and still doing the same little clubs.
I don’t understand how people can say the early 2000’s and late 90’s were O&A’s heyday. Opie was at his worst and super combative. 2008 is around when it got so much better.
it always makes me sad that there are people out there that don't see music as a necessity like air or water. Maybe it's the musician in me but I would die without music... at any age.
People that love music are usually emotionally unstable and impulsive because of the constant frequencies of "music" pumped into you, listening to music all day and I imagine it is secular, you have no idea what you are letting into you all the time, demonic things. Remember this, people that always play music and need it will always be over emotional and a wreck.

@Dave Manning - Yes, because people hold the exact same views and beliefs from the moment of birth to the moment of death and never change or alter them, do they? You're comparing something he said in 2018 with something he said in 2004 - 14 years earlier - and going "Ah HA! Hypocrite!" Pathetic. Also, the analogy is also flawed: Alex Jones didn't actually break any of UA-cam's rules, and the real controversy is that there are other UA-camrs who have done and continue to do the exact same things Jones did, but because they're on the Left UA-cam turns a blind eye.
Ant is one of the biggest hypocrites I've ever heard. He and his family are guilty of literally everything he complains about: violence, smoking crack, theft, taking government assistance, having a broken home. It couldn't be worse. At least he'll be gone soon.
