My interpretation of the final moments: The ghosts were hostile because of the influence of King Boo. When the gem broke, they "woke up" and became friendly.
When he king boo said "it's so frustrating when you trap something in a painting and it gets out, you know", he is actually talking about the end of the first game where you trap king boo in a painting. E Gadd then sells the painting to someone who then frees king boo which leeds on to the second game.
Also when he does the slam the real king boo makes the shockwave, others don’t. And in the 2nd phase only, the real king boo is the only one who’s spike balls have bombs.
'luigi being possessed' has happened in the series quite a few times, once in super paper mario where he even becomes the final boss, and again in mario tennis aces.
Here’s a clever fact: When fighting the DJ, her dance crew where actually doing dance moves and such that are *dead* trends.. Get it?... because... they’re ghosts?... and they’re dead...?....

In Dark Moon there are many more types of ghosts that appear there, each having a bit of information about them in the gallery, like a pokedex. In addition there are 5 differently themed mansions that are quite large.

Personally Luigis Mansion 2/Dark Moon is my favourite of the games but that’s only because I grew up with a da and 3ds and it was my favourite 3ds game. If I wasn’t going out of nostalgia tho Luigis Mansion 3 is the best as it fixed problems from the old games, had great graphics and features and was very creative with most floors and with the portrait bosses returning. The story wasn’t as good as dark moons but luigis mansion is more about the present not the future of completing the story. You go through mansions/levels/hotel floors solving puzzles in the moment. Your not going to think about beating King Boo when your only halfway through the game. You work your way up to the top and are rewarded with a happy ending. @wcn mada Luigi's Mansion came out before Sunshine. Like roughly half a year. Plus, King Boo didn't even own the Casino. The Pianta that owned the hotel also owned the casino, so what you said isn't true.
All of those moments where Luigi and Mario speak to each other are just too adorable. The Mario franchise is such an amazing one, and I tend to go for Luigi over Mario, Rosalina/Daisy/Pauline over Peach - all the characters that don't get as much love as the main characters, and I really enjoy seeing the background characters being brought to center stage in their own adventures where they don't have the same abilities or qualities as the face of the franchise, but still get to be the hero and solve a mystery/save the world. It just shows that everybody is different and has different ways to solve things. Best of all, this is a puzzle game, and I *love* puzzle games. Not only does it make you think, but I enjoy finding out the reason why certain things work. It's really fascinating. Anyway, enough of my rambling. This is one of my favorite series on this channel, and I thank you so much for playing it, I enjoyed everything. Love you, Jack :)

Atmosphere- the first luigi’s mansion was the best. It was an actual scary game. It was dark and when you cleared a room, everything lit up and gave you that sense of ‘oh good, I’m safe’ and half way through the game, the entire mansion’s power goes out again and you have to reclear everything. I personally loved this game (LM3) but I don’t think anything could live up to the original. Also: I won’t ever forgive Jack for sucking up Morty. He could have left him alone and then seen the full movie. Also also: it took me 18-19 hours to beat the game. I finished it before watching jack play, and finished 10 hours longer.

When I did the final boss yesterday I didn't notice that the clones have different teeth. For the first clone I just shot a bomb at a random one and I got it right. At the second clone I still didn't notice a difference and I just payed attention to who threw which ball because I thought the real one would throw the ball with bombs, but I just noticed that it doesn't matter who throws which ball. And Jack didn't even die once, I died 2 times and I had 3 golden bones.

Oh god yes. I would very much like to see Jack play them, not only for the many moments he suddenly gets references that were in this game, but also because I would like to see a play through in general and Jack’s commentary would be a nice touch!
Your commentary on this game was hilarious from start to finish! I’d love to see you play the first Luigi’s mansion just to see how different it is from this one, I grew up playing it but it also terrified me. So sad to see such a good series end!!!
Spyro 3 (his favorite) is not a collect-o-thon, though. It has elements of it, yes, because you need gems or eggs to progress certain areas, but most of that is gathered with no real grind or attention - it's only the bonus areas that usually require any real work on the collecting. But the main gameplay in 3 is platforming with a lot of variety due to the added characters and powerups. Spyro 1 is very collect-o-thon because it's literally just about saving the dragons and finding gems/the rare dragon egg. There is no 'additional story' going on. Spyro 2 was a weird midpoint, where it was still probably half a collect-o-thon, but they'd put in more of an overarching story. Every level you went to (minus maybe the speedways) was effected in some way, so beside just gathering gems and orbs, you were helping people in each world. Spyro 3 kept basic collect-o-thon elements, but they weren't a primary focus anymore, outside the eggs, and the majority of those were really handed to you. It was probably more 70/30, story vs collect-o-thon? But there was still a lot more to the game than *just* collecting things for the sake of collecting them, with one repeated mechanic.
I always find it funny when the evil boss sais "How can my goons be so incompetant?" well.. it's actually the hero who is competant, not your goons that's incompetant. If anyone is, it's you for not estimating the situation right.
Late to the party, but as smart as King Boo is, he REALLY screwed up by trying to take on Luigi as opposed to just widening the picture frame and swallowing up the entire hotel in one gulp.
Poisson Sumac I mean it would be rude if a fan of yours invited you over to help you get revenge on your rival and then you just take down her entire hotel on the spot as soon as your rival is there

I’ve been a big Luigi’s mansion fan for a long time and to see Jack play this start to finish was awesome. Who else would like to see him play the original?
Oh god yes. I would very much like to see Jack play them, not only for the many moments he suddenly gets references that were in this game, but also because I would like to see a play through in general and Jack’s commentary would be a nice touch!

Your commentary on this game was hilarious from start to finish! I’d love to see you play the first Luigi’s mansion just to see how different it is from this one, I grew up playing it but it also terrified me. So sad to see such a good series end!!!

Spyro 3 (his favorite) is not a collect-o-thon, though. It has elements of it, yes, because you need gems or eggs to progress certain areas, but most of that is gathered with no real grind or attention - it's only the bonus areas that usually require any real work on the collecting. But the main gameplay in 3 is platforming with a lot of variety due to the added characters and powerups.
Spyro 1 is very collect-o-thon because it's literally just about saving the dragons and finding gems/the rare dragon egg. There is no 'additional story' going on.
Spyro 2 was a weird midpoint, where it was still probably half a collect-o-thon, but they'd put in more of an overarching story. Every level you went to (minus maybe the speedways) was effected in some way, so beside just gathering gems and orbs, you were helping people in each world.
Spyro 3 kept basic collect-o-thon elements, but they weren't a primary focus anymore, outside the eggs, and the majority of those were really handed to you. It was probably more 70/30, story vs collect-o-thon? But there was still a lot more to the game than *just* collecting things for the sake of collecting them, with one repeated mechanic.

Late to the party, but as smart as King Boo is, he REALLY screwed up by trying to take on Luigi as opposed to just widening the picture frame and swallowing up the entire hotel in one gulp.

I enjoyed this series so much. I tried to complete the game as fast as I could so that I could watch this series without spoilers. XD Also, I don’t think that anyone has mentioned this, but I’m sad that Sean never got to see what happens when you press the arrow buttons on the left joy con when walking around as Luigi. It makes him call out for his brother and the tone changes depending on how scared he his. It also works for Gooigi. X3
