I have known for years you were either a 712 or a 792. So glad to hear you are diving into tritypes more in your content as a long-time observer of Katherine Fauvre's work. When I first came to the Enneagram, it never made sense to me that we would only use one center (of intelligence), and if we all as humans have questions of worth and value, anger and restraint, and fear and knowing, why would those NOT all have a relationship characterized by a specific Enneagram type. Lo and behold, tritype explains that we do. I am a 496
I really appreciate your thoughtful comment! It's always great to connect with fellow Enneagram enthusiasts. Your journey with the tritype concept sounds enlightening!
I've learned about enneagram mostly watching your channel and learned about tritype later. So happy to see tritype content on your channel. Hope to see more of them soon!
Oh I'm glad you know about the tritypes. The order of the numbers affect our lifestyle though. There's this one forum called them to differentiate, but it's a plausible explanation. the dominant is 'The Captain', second 'The Crew', and last one is 'The Muse'. Captain is your being, steering the ship. The crew helps to navigate or work through it. Muse is not motivation but more to inspiration, just a little unconscious
It's fascinating how the order of the tritypes can shape our perspectives and lifestyles! The analogy of 'The Captain', 'The Crew', and 'The Muse' really brings it to life.
Thanks for the Tritypes download! On another note I’d love to see more videos on counter types. I was so confused about my type until I learned I was a counter type. Thanks! 😊
5w4, 5/4/8 tritype here! I relate a lot to all three numbers in my tritype. With one of my friends whose tritype I know, it makes a lot of sense about why he is the way he is, because I can see all three types showing up in the way I've seen him interact with people. I'm guessing it's the same way for others with me.
I am an ENTJ So/Sp1w2 with a 137 tritype. When I first found out about the enneagram I wasn’t sure if I was a 1 or a 3. Although the main focus in my life has always been trying to be a good person, I always had a strong inclination to want to be recognized for my hard work and be “the best” (which would make me upset when I felt others were better than me) which I view as selfish of myself. Also, whenever I didn’t get as much of my homework done as I thought I should have I would lie to my mom, saying that I had gotten done what I thought I should have. She is a Sp/So1w2 and I think a 126 and I always felt pressure to meet her standards with her motto being get it done now (in 1 swift motion) so you don’t have to suffer later. With the 7 involved in there too it has always been hard for me to sit and work for long, but I always feel guilty when I take too long of a break from homework (I am in college).
It's fascinating how the Enneagram can reveal so much about our motivations and behaviors. Balancing the desire to excel with the pressure of expectations can be tough, especially in college. Remember, it's okay to take breaks and prioritize your well-being!
Tritypes just make sense imo. Of course we’d have certain way of leaning when using each of our heart, head, & gut. Sure, we lead with one of them, and that’s where our main type is, but a 3 (like myself) doesn’t ALWAYS use their heart to make decisions, so when we DO go with our gut or head….how do we do it? I’m (pretty sure) that I’m a 3w2, but 5 & 9 both absolutely describe aspects of my personality. What the order is, I’m not entirely sure (I THINK 395, but the prominence of the 9 could be due to me being a 3 that’s regularly in stress) Thanks for covering tritypes, Tom!
I appreciate your insights on tritypes! It’s fascinating how we can lean into different aspects of ourselves depending on the situation. Keep exploring those nuances!
584- That one has a lot of interesting names assigned to it. "Useless Beast" "The Demon" Yikes, but don't let it get you down...My guess is you are a great debater and can really challenge people's belief systems... think lawyer, philosopher, etc...
Me: has a core type / is a countertype Me: *tells someone my core type* Person: you cant be that type! You're (insert a number that happens to be either my wing or part of my tritype here)! Me: Note to self, don't be friends with that person Idk why i'm posting this exactly, but it's an odd situation i have found myself within various times.
Very interesting As a 4 I heard I have a lot of 8 in me Ok as a 4 I am strong to the 5 But can be also to 7 Did not like what you called it 478 And did not understand it
The problem with tritype is that the utility for it very low. The descriptions of the tritype will be very bad due to the increase mistypings. You thought just finding someone’s type number was hard. It’s probably more fun than useful. Like a enneagram board game or something.
@@twlahue not fond of her overactive Ni and word on the street is she’s super stingy about who’s allowed to use her terminology. But you, however are fantastic :)
I’d love for you to do more videos on Tritypes! Hardly anyone talks about them! And they’re very useful!
Sure thing!

Awesome, thank you!
When I first discovered the Enneagram, over 20 years ago, I always tied 2,7,9. I had a feeling try types were a thing back then.

That’s awesome! It’s cool how our numbers reflect who we are and how we vibe with our friends. Keep exploring those connections!

Me, 459: I never want to leave my house again.
Tom LaHue: Then there's 279 - "the Stupid Hottie"
Me: I MUST FIND HER
That's Awesome
I'm definitely 9-2, but I waffle between 5 and 6 for the third one.
Stick with it and you will figure it out.
I am a 9 and I would definitely be a 954 tritype. In fact in my younger days I would have thought I was a 4w5.
It's interesting how our self-perception can change over time! The 9 and 4w5 traits can offer such unique perspectives on life.
Thats common with ISFP/INFPs to have 4w5 in a phase.

I know I'm a 9-6-?. I can't decide which heart type suits me more than the others
I'm an INFJ T 2w1 1:1 So Sp tritype 2,5,9. Trust me that 5 is in there. My significant other is an INFP 4w5 and he isn't aware of a tritype.
258 INFJ 2w1. Hello!

@twlahue thanks for answer ah yes it is always a challenge between me and people 😅. Do you think 584 is an sx5 or so5 or sp5 mostly?

Hi, I'm 835 or 853 and i also don't see the difference
And yes i am an evil executive i work in finance
Awesome... The "Dictator" I think is another good name

No... Just super smart...
