- I created this video because I've been testing out a bunch of old phones to see if they're still good in 2022. The iPhone 7+ was originally released in 2016 shooting 4K 30FPS and 1080 120FPS.

I currently have the iPhone 7 Plus and it works great, I love that the screen is wider than the newest models and it’s really an affordable phone 👌🏼

@@idk-zr1rk I got mines for around 100 used by my cousin it still works perfectly fine the only thing wrong with it is battery life but overall it’s still a good phone

trying to choose between a 7 plus and a 8 plus but both phones seem to cost the same as x/xr ebay wise around 225 not including tax. not very affordable and have no clue what the battery health/battery will be like.

@@omegadrake6119 i was debating on a 7plus, only problem is via ebay or anywhere else, they cost the same as a 8plus, x and xr i do like the jet black color though. i have no clue what the battery condition or healh would be though
@@omegadrake6119 and i've been looking at massive battery drain tests videos from so many years ago and some current. not sure what to buy. i just mainly want it for some light surface the web and mostly talk while hoping it doesn't drain fast. i have to get rid of smaller phones now
@@toshibachromebook8505 if you are looking for a iphone 7 or 8 plus just look for the ones that has a 100% battery health even if seller installed the new battery themselves it works just as good. Or Even better . I bought the matte black which is my favorites and I happen to to across one that has 100% battery health was replaced and it works really good , or you can find one that good condition and If it has a poor battery you can have apple or find a repair shop to replace the battery . Or you can replace the battery if you want to .
i used my 7+ for 5 years but battery was giving me headaches. i then bought 11 didnt even think about 12 or 13 because 7 was just perfect for me. except the night photos. i used android before 7+ and i had to change phones every 1.5 years. iphones are just fantastic.

i have an iphone 7 i did get discouraged because i thought the camera sucked and i needed the brand new iphone.. turns out i jus suck at making videos !! haha im barely starting out with my YT journey and your videos definetly help out

Crazy to think that the iPhone 7 will soon be obsolete (including IOS updates in a year or two). Having said that, shows the testament of Apple and their quality of their products.

I just updated iPhone 7 with iOS 15.4 few minutes ago. It’s a great phone. But the downside is always about the battery. I came from Realme budget phone but it last 2 days with normal usage like frequent use of messenger and scroll to Facebook. But iPhone 7 with 78% battery health, it last only for 2 hours before it reaches low battery levels. Still confused if changing battery would be worth it.
@@whatRUlooking_4 would definitely improve, but not by a huge margin. And sure, can't beat the battery exp u get from a device like Realme.

Well 7plus surely can do most of daily tasks, except some high pressure game. So it’s totally good enough if you have no demand for mobile games.

Same! It was my dads. Was in a drawer for the last 2 years! I replaced the battery and it’s good as new.

Yes! It's still good! I am still using my 7 plus this year, it's still amazing. I am so careful handling this phone. Maybe in 2024 I'll change my phone. But as long as it's still working properly, it's great!

@@rockazulla it's still great! It depends on how you use it. I sometimes charged my phone once a day but if I used it a lot, I charged it to 3 times a day.

i recently moved from the 7 plus to the xr the only reason i moved on was due to call speaker was slowly breaking. people could not hear me only, on speaker mode. and the xr was giving to me. Overall i was very happy with the 7 i probably would of stayed with it. if not for the the phone speaker not working
Just happened to me tonight. The speaker button grayed out. I leaned what the problem is now I’m deciding if I should fix it or move on.

still ideal balance in price, performance, screen size and cameras. lacks a bit quick charging from 8 plus, but metal back cover feels good in hand)

Using an iPhone 7 Plus as well I just change the battery and the parts etc so I can use it for a really long time.

I still use my iPhone 7+ since they first came out. And it still good. But I'm thinking of changing my iPhone to the newest version next year.
I really liked the iPhone 7+, at the time it came out, I thought it's the best iPhone that I've owned. Currently, I'm using the Samsung Z Fold 2 and really enjoying it. Hopefully Apple will release their foldable phone soon.

One thing I miss from the iPhone 7 is having a more natural look, the 13 is always sharpening everything (almost like Samsung)… is there any way to turn that down?
i thought i was the only one thinking that! they sharpen it so much it almost hurts my eyes to look at the photo 😩

Speaking this as someone who went from newer budget phone (galaxy a12) to older flagship (iphone 7 plus)..I traded my old phone for this iphone and I must say iphone performs way better , no bugs or issues whatsover , but battery is awful..after full charge battery on samsung would last 1.5 days while on iphone i have to charge it twice a day all though it has 100%BH..I think I will sell the iphone and buy a mid-range newer phone with good battery and decent performance for the same money
If you aren’t on your phone 24/7 or don’t need the best camera and hardware for content creating or anything like that than it’s still holds it’s own perfectly fine
it gives optimism for 7+ users like me! it just needs stabilizing, low exposure, and color grading!

I am been using 7 plus for more then 5 years it’s a really great phone 📱 and very reliable .
Lets be candid; smart phone cameras have come a long way and they're very good and will improve.
Having said that, they still have severe limitation. Namely, they don't have great depth of vision and while they're great in daylight/natural light they struggle with darkness, depending on the model of phone you have. The iPhone 7 plus is workable; not as great as the 11 or whatever the latest version is now. I've seen people make pretty good movies with iPhone 5 and 6's and damned good ones with the 7 plus. So it CAN be done.
Personally, if you want to do more, get either a DSLR or a mirrorless (and they have their limitations, too) or just spend the money and get an actual video camera.
But with the 7 Plus, go and get a good moviemaking app that gives you control over the settings, an inexpensive gimbal and go and shoot.
That's my recommendation.

I still use an Iphone 7 plus, I can't justify buying a new iPhone. It's not the money, it's just that there's not enough added utility to buy the new stuff.

Despite Apple’s hair brained decision to not have iOS 16 on the 7/+, it is a good phone and still worth buying.
Consider the competition, people are currently buying brand new android devices with android 8 on them.
iPhone 7/+ has 15.5. And should still get a couple years of security updates. As a company Apple is garbage, but they mostly do their products right.
I really don’t think there’s any android smartphone being sold right now that’s not atleast android 11.

unfortunately my 7 plus has a cracked screen, camera started with the “shaking”, microphone and bottom speaker are having poor performance and ofc the battery. but i’ll still use it until september so i can decide what iphone to buy next
