I just bought the same set for my 2011 Ram 2500 I also bought the decoder kit. I read on some Ram trucks there is flickering or error on dash . I live too far from anything to stop the job to order a part , but I will install without the decoder and see . Great video the first set of burnt out bulbs I installed I broke the tab off the drivers side headlight assembly didn't know about that latch. I thought I'd replace it but didn't if anyone has one let me know.
@@brucewebber6983 wow that's great. So u have the same ones in the video but you didn't have to use or mount the decoders like they did on the videos? That's pretty good news. I have a 2011 ram 1500 so hopefully mine is like yours just plug and play. I already switched fog lights and didn't need decoders just plug and play but have not tried headlights yet.
Hey , quick question! What’s the spect for the complete kit ? I had buy one but don’t fit my harness! I have a 2012 ram 1500 laramie, I’ll appreciate your help, by the way awesome video
So I’ve seen some other videos where they remove the 2 bolts and the latch in the back of the headlight. My question is, would you recommend that way of removing the headlight? I know one bolt is the adjuster for the headlight but it seems all they did was just remove it and they didn’t have any problems after
I have a question that might be stupid because I have not see it asked anywhere on youtube, But here it goes. My 2011 1500 SLT only had one bulb for low and high beam so only one plug for headlights and one plug for turn signals. The housing was faded and scuffed so I purchased a good used one on facebook but it has 2 slots one for low beam bulb and one for high beam bulb, so when you purchase these led bulbs do the plugs hook together so you only need one plug for low and high beams? I hope so since I only have one headlight plug for each side? Confused here.
The bulb that's in your is called a two element bulb. Which controls both the high & low beam. Led bulbs aren't two elements, so they can't be used in your application.
After you installed the led lights . Did the dashboard throw an error code. Because at the Dodge dealership they said it will throw a code if I upgrade my 2019 Dodge ram classic from halogen to led did you have this issue and if so how do you correct the error code if it comes up
I have a 2015 did the conversion to LED bulbs but the many sets we try they just don’t work they flick we try the same brand decoders but still have the same problem can u help
Low beam is h11, high beam is 9005 and fogs are 9006 I believe. H11 and 9005 aren't interchange. 9006/9005 can be interchanged with some modifications to the plug or bulb socket.
Hi I have a question. I got a lumens led conversion kit and the high beam is having trouble getting the block into place inside the housing. Any tips? I kinda sorta got the cap back on but I’m not happy with how it’s sitting
I don't understand "save tons of time"I just did my 16 Ram 2500 took me all of 5 min. to remove the Grill, you can not just reach behind the headlight assembly and remove the bulbs.

@@jord8584 Not all of them have high beam sides to set. Some use the same bulbs for both high and low. Means you set low and high should be fine. If not and they use different bulbs just do them both side to side and see. Might have to set the highs to up and down. Don't matter if you remember to dim your lights when meeting someone, I guess...lol.

I use the same name brand and you should make sure it's side to side...3 and 9 on the leds and that box needs to be outside and the dust cover left off to keep it from overheating. Didn't do mine and had to replace 2 different sets from overheating in a 2 month time. You could tell they overheated being covered up with the diode system inside, too because both sets of mine had melt marks on the back of the dust covers and a small place on the back of the bulb plug and the diode box looked like it had gotten hot enough to sort of twist where it was straight before. Left the cover off and the diode box outside wire strapped in place so it wouldn't rattle and that was 2 years ago and no issues since.
