What he means to say from his celebrities example is that we should come to the reality. We should stop being consumer just because your neighbor or colleague bought something thinking it will show your status. And invest your money in businesses. There are many ways to invest as you already know. But every investment comes with its own benefits and risks.
lesser money means poor. so from poor to rich is a long distance.
To attain this one has to sacrifice a lot and sacrifice here means
to live for himself and not for others. He should buy things only for
purpose and not for pride. only by this way he can save of money.
This saved money has to be invested in order to get it self grown.

to grow and the interest on the saved money will also grow. so likewise the
money keeps growing and this is also called as compounding. initially the first phase
takes long time. ie to get the money doubled, but afterwards, as the money
grows the doubling concept gets easier. eg, money to grow from 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs
would take around 6-7 years. but with the same 6-7 yrs 10 lakhs can become 20 lakhs.
now watch getting 10 lakhs in 6-7 years becomes easy.

Sir your overall ideas are good but the arguments you state in support of those are a little questionable.
1. First you are comparing actors with billionaires list and concluding that they are not investing properly. But what actors earn is far below that scale. They do invest in business and earn on the scale they earn. Just that the size of that is nowhere near top 100 in the world. For example if a Tamil actor earns 5 crore in a movie and invests and makes that into 50 crore in local business, he is extremely successful in his life but that is still very tiny from a global list point of view. It doesn't mean that he is wasting his life on lifestyle. Most of the actors become producers and also have companies in their names.
2. On real estate you are taking rent as a meter for judging returns. But rent is not the only return. Aside from rent the property is appreciating. Instead of taking a flat as an example (I agree flat is a bad investment) lets say you buy a piece of land in city suburbs. That's how so many people got rich and there's no reason that won't work in future. As population increases, land value will keep growing. It will at least keep up with equity if not beat equity over 30-40 year period. It has to happen because people keep multiplying whereas land is a limited resource, it cannot multiply, and its value has to go up.
It is satisfying people's need that actually makes one rich..Take example like swiggy, Amazon, Flipkart and so on.. It is the idea that makes money Yo.. I believe your speech is misleading like "Money alone can make money".. sorry

But you can check with North Indian rich people, actors and actress they are fine tune with investments and growing there money... Dont you think they don't have enough money to live so lavishly for the next three generations of theirs. Yes seriously. And there are many more you can say..
