Nobody will ever read this much less the Komi Crew. I just wanted to say how inspiring this is to me. I’ve traveled to almost 20 foreign countries in my life and have always been an avid camper/backpacker. Baja is way up on my bucket list. I dread the sand but plan on heading there with my camper when I retire for a month or two. Who knows, maybe longer. It’s a true paradise (to me) except for the darn dust. LOL!
This episode has to be one of my most favorite of all. Your side kick Tara reminds me of my daughter Tara. Both are very adventurous, not afraid to get dirty, try odd foods, and can paint a sign on command. The part where that family was pulling octopus from the trot line of weighted cans is inspiring to say the least! You can see by my avatar to the left that I enjoy me some octopus. That one was 6 foot' from tip to tip, caught by hook and line from my kayak in northern California. Epic experience.
I love you guys😍 So random but wow to the both of you😂 Hello from Australia🐨🌏 Discovered kombi life yesterday WOW also and i am so in love with Alaska i dream of having a dog like her 💗 This channel gets you in your feels&positive thoughts so much! You need to come to Australia and take a good year to travel the whole way around!😚
man, thank you, you exposed in the best way the real spirit of my people, in an ugly point in time where mexico is under many terrible circumstances. i shared your video in my facebbook so many friends can see . Welcome to mexico we hope you come back soon, i am in Xalapa, Veracruz , make a room in your agenda to visit Xalapa, you will love it as much and we will share some bear , mi casa es tu casa always!!! thank you very much!
This is the most amazing thing that's happened to UA-cam. It is such a pleasure being able to see you explore the planet and make so many friends in the process. If you came threw my home in the states I wouldn't be able to turn down living the Kombi life.
These videos bring back great memories from my childhood. My parents used to take my brother and I down to Baja every year for vacations. We had so much fun back then. I wish I could do what you're doing. I envy your lifestyle these days. Keep having fun!
Thank you for the fantastic videos. Your channel is by far the best out there when it comes to life on the road. I enjoy all the encounters you show, with the locals. Bravo!
i'm totally addicted to your combilife adventures! can't wait till next upload :D i actually rushed home after work tonight cuz i knew a new episode would be online! keep up the good life! aloha from holland
Indeed Tara is very beautiful . But with her can do and up for trying new things attitude it shoots her off the charts beautiful I'm sure at times she will become overwhelmed with the break downs and struggles of kombi life but you sure did bring the perfect companion for the ride
Fue un placer ayudar con la traducción al Español, Quiero que esta comunidad crezca y que sigamos viajando todos! It was a pleasure to help with the translation into Spanish, I want this community to grow and we continue to travel all!
This is such great footage. And you've got guts! Heading out on such remote roads. I've done the same, but since having a breakdown, I'm more hesitant. I suppose it's all part of the adventure, and the rewards are unheard of! Thanks for sharing all this!
Ahhhhh those beach cliffs. My first experience with them was pulling over with friends waiting for racers to go by during the Baja 1000. "Yeah the beach is over there, go check it out." Suckers didn't tell me about the 40ft drop walking up to it in the dark! Love your channel man......very addicting.
Your videos reminds me of my family travels (camping) all over Mexico in the 60s and 70s... we drove Baja before the paved road... talk about isolated beaches : ) thank you for the adventures!!!
Thanks Ben for another awsome episode.. Brought back some great memories of my days counting the "K"s (Kilometer signs), along the highways. Your private camp spot reminded me of one of my favorite spots at about the K181 Marker off highway 1.. great stuff.. ps Tara seems like the perfect Baja Companion.. easy going,, confident and lots of smiles...
I know you get told this all the time but this is so inspirational I would love to be in the sun now as I sit her in rainy South wales good luck in your travels
excellent video. I want to visit their place. all that fresh seafood. mmmm. I love octipus but it was weird seeing them come out of the traps. thank you for sharing your adventures, look forward to more.
Nice video ! I am student in France and I have followed you since your first videos. Your videos come to France and for my part I adore your videos ! You really make me want to leave and I save in order to buy myself too a combi so thank you for sharing with us your adventures and your passion for the journey ! Keep on and I really hope that I will meet you one day on the road ! (Sorry for the mistakes).
Another awesome video! Your videos have inspired me to book a trip to Central America (Panama, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica). Thank you for sharing your adventures with the world!
WANDERfull episode guys. I must get there some day. Tara; you're as cute as a button with a warmhearted disposition. Very much eager for the next episode. Cheers from eastern Canada.
Hey dude! Good to see another Brit living the dream. I also drove the length of Baja 6 months ago and stopped at that same rural gas station at 1:45. People are so friendly and accommodating down there (apart from Cabo where everyone tries to con you). How do you manage to get visas for extended periods of time when travelling? Keep up the good work.
Hey man, I'm quite impressed by this episode, the quality of your directing and editing has evolved a lot! especially all the part at the oyster farm, really good job, very pro ! In contrast, the shots with drones or selfie poles are quite amateurish if I may be just a little critical, not a big fan of those myself but maybe that is just me! cheers Ben, keep them coming !
ha ha - I don't know we just binge watched Seasons 1 - 6 again, it's pretty hard to compete....although if we had 1 million dollars per episode, that might level the playing field :)
Nice work. May I suggest two words....Garmin GPS, and spare fuel container. I am sure you are aware, but just in case. Did you get a chance to travel on HWY (1)? The Sea of Cortez side?
Judging by all the videos I've seen of your travels, you seem to choose your travel companions very wisely. A question: that stove is run by bottled gas or electricity? Cheers from Brazil.
drone - we are releasing a bonus vid after the next episode explaining some of the behind the scenes things from these Baja videos. Be sure to check it out.
I will!! If you're still heading south in Baja - Check out La Ventana south of La Paz on the Cortez side. I use to run down there every winter (well dec - feb) windsurfing, back in the 1990's. It was just a sleepy fishing village back then. One year we had a very unique water hazard (actually many - many) - bales of floating plastic wrapped cannabis - they wreaked havoc with the windsurfers on the water (stops you dead if you hit it) - and then again on the land later :-)
Nothing in the world will leave you quicker when you really need it than a kombi/ Transporter engine... a 5'7" blonde with a killer rack and the bluest eyes have been known to stay longer and be more dependable than an VW air cooler...there is only one fix...water cooled Subaru motor...I have watched the most expensive VW engines built by the best VW engine builders on the west coast melt down in the California heat...pulling long grades in the Sierra's ...crusing thru the desert or heading to Camp 4 in Yosemite??? Eventually the heat kills the best of them... Best of luck...love your channel.
Great video series. It inspired me to move to Ensenada. I'm here and my dog and I are heading down south on Saturday until I hit Cabo, staying at places along the way. I would love to find those off-the-grid communities. Any hints or clues on where to find them? Thanks again for the great work!

You should go Leah and I both loved it, you wont regret it
Your dog won the lottery dude. Better life than a dog would have with the rich and famous
agreed
@@KombiLife It's sad, some of those dogs are treated merely as fashion statements, and cast aside after the trend dies
omg i love the puppy tag, "i am not lost, i am exploring"

Tara really looks like Kelley O'Hara U.S Women's soccer player. Besides that she's a rare breed. Very adventurous what a gem mate.
Excellent episode guys!
Just love this video viva Mexico
I can't believe you don't have more subscribers than you do, you should have millions
+LaFran II thanks mate. We're working on that.
I’m Mexican and I love how you added Mexican music to the video instead of American music like some other youtubers would use
Nice editing, specifically the scene transitions! Super cool effect with the camp fire!

Thanks - I'm not sure I agree about the drone shots though, I think they added a lot to the video.
Man your channel is way more addictive than game of thrones, Greetings from Milwaukee Wisconsin.
ha ha - I don't know we just binge watched Seasons 1 - 6 again, it's pretty hard to compete....although if we had 1 million dollars per episode, that might level the playing field :)
Also, the VW, being rear wheel drive and rear engine is fantastic traction wise in sand, snow etc
gracias! Very enjoyable.
Nice work. May I suggest two words....Garmin GPS, and spare fuel container. I am sure you are aware, but just in case. Did you get a chance to travel on HWY (1)? The Sea of Cortez side?

Cool Hat Bro'. You dress like a true NorthWesterner. I like it.

Judging by all the videos I've seen of your travels, you seem to choose your travel companions very wisely. A question: that stove is run by bottled gas or electricity? Cheers from Brazil.
