100%. I m Scottish and I lived for two years in South Western PA and Northern West Virginia, and I often profess that if you’d blindfolded me, drugged me, taken me to that part of the USA I would have sworn blind I’d never left Scotland, especially the area around Ohio Pyle in PA.
I believe that back when all the continents were still connected as Pangea, that the Atlas Mountains, Appalachian Mountains, and Scottish Highlands were all part of the same mountain range.
