If Alcorn weren't a rival and in Mississippi would they still be accused of copying WT? Just asking because I have seen about every drumline from black high school and HBCU in the mid south do everything that people claim Alcorn stole from JSU. Mainly schools from Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee. Could it just be the style of drumming in that area because drumlines in Memphis been grooving like that for years.
Eddie Grider yes because they changed their style some. Look at grambland now ! Talladega all these schools adopting Memphis style but jsu was doing it first
@@Tailoredwright If that holds true then I would be proud to have that influence. Just like FAMU influenced many of the styles and traditions that we see today in HBCU. I've seen many claiming that WT got their style from FAMU. I personally think who started what is irrelevant as musicians. What matters is supporting one another and keeping the tradition of HBCU bands at the highest level.
Y'all make me so proud.
