Thank you so much it really helped me verify my LinkedIn profile easily. I was stuck on how to scan the chip in my passport for days. I'm so glad I bumped into your video. God bless you!
appreciate the video as Linkedin says to scan your picture for chip not the back of the passport took 3 mins after watching your video to verify thanks
Hi Becs! Despite your great video on how to get verified on LinkedIn - scanning my passport wasn't working with my personal NFC-enabled 8-year old iPhone 6 (using iOS 15.8.3). The minute I used my much newer work Android phone, the passport scanning worked like a dream - using the back of my passport - as you told us. I am leaving this comment, in case others are trying to use older phones like I was, and getting frustrated with the passport scanning not working. I would suggest trying with a more modern/up-to-date phone!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! the part that helped is the step on how to scan the chip on the passport >_< I've been scanning it from the front but as you've advised to do from the back, that has solved the issue I've had for the last 6 hours of verifying. Thank you for that specific tip!
thankyou so much it would not verify as i was unaware where the NFC chip was this was the fourth video and finally i did it after 1 hour, i am so surprised that the instructions on verifying is limiting its insane thankyou it worked thankyou thankyou thankyou so much
Thanks for this video. It was doing my head in as it didn't say the chip's in the back. Kept watching other videos and no one said that. I knew I could trust a fellow Brit to sort things out lol :) Thanks!
That's a good question. It is the only way to verify your profile, it is my understanding it is scanned and not copied. You do not send a copy to them. I was happy to scan mine but as you know systems are never fool proof therefore you need to use your own judgement. Data protection is not my area of expertise.
Hi, could you please let me know if it's possible to verify my LinkedIn account using an NFC passport? I don't have an e-passport; I only have a basic one. Thanks.
Thanks for your helpful video, unfortunately, I don't get my phone to successfully scan the back side of my passport. Could this happen because the Police authorities have put two stickers on that side? What do you think?
i cant go past 5:10 of your video because i am not getting the option to click Verify with Persona. i wonder why this is? like the window wont scroll, so that isn't it.
When I scan the QC code, it just takes me to the same page again with the QR code. I can't get to the screen where I click 'verify your persona.' Do you have any suggestions?
Do you know any way to reach LinkedIn by phone? I do these steps and it takes me to a process to have a code emailed to me but I don't receive the code.
Have you checked the email address in your LinkedIn settings? You can't phone them but you can create a support ticket here: www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/solve
The Verifications section in the "About this profile" is missing for me. Do you have a solution for this? It only shows Joined, Contact information, and Profile photo.

My account has been verified, I can see in the verifications option. But i am not able see the verified symbol in profile page. Does anyone with the same issue ?

Hi, could you please let me know if it's possible to verify my LinkedIn account using an NFC passport? I don't have an e-passport; I only have a basic one. Thanks.
As long as it has the chip in the back of the passport you can verify it. If not you can't.
Thanks for your helpful video, unfortunately, I don't get my phone to successfully scan the back side of my passport. Could this happen because the Police authorities have put two stickers on that side? What do you think?
I suppose it depends what type of stickers they are and their purpose.
i cant go past 5:10 of your video because i am not getting the option to click Verify with Persona. i wonder why this is? like the window wont scroll, so that isn't it.
I'm not sure, maybe it's a temporary glitch. I would try again and if not report it to LinkedIn
im not getting the "persona" part once you go to the phone steps. is this something in account settings, maybe something is broken or blocked...
Its a little pop up that you need to click on your phone. See 4:48 in the video
I'm always getting the error that I've moved to early, but the phone + pass is lying on the table. its impossible to do the verification.
Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I've not heard of that problem before. I would shut down LinkedIn and retry.

Hi. I failed to find the NFC chip on my BRP, although it has the NFC symbol. Moved it several times across without success.
Did you scan the back of your passport?
@SocialMediaExecutiveLtd my country has not yet made it to the LinkedIn list, sadly.
The Verifications section in the "About this profile" is missing for me. Do you have a solution for this? It only shows Joined, Contact information, and Profile photo.
What country are you in as it's not available in all countries
Hi Rebecca! I can't find your linkedin profile ... why

Hi, Do you think this is ethical? Isn't the protection of personal data against the law?
There are different laws in different countries. You have to weigh up whether you are comfortable doing this or not.

hi miss , i am form afghanistan my passport dont have this passport chap what i need to do
OK well I don't think you'll beable to do it then, sorry.
For this to be successful, you need NFC enabled on your phone. Apparently the Samsung A12 has it but I can't find it.

Scan it from the back of your passport.
Ok... you (They!) lost me at "you must have a passport"! lol. That is way too much!
Anyway, appreciate you making this video though. Thank you!
When is the process of verification ending
I think it's an ongoing process, I'm not aware of any end date.
Pro tip for people like me: if your phone can't find that chip in your document, then take phone cover off... :D
Great tip thanks for sharing
Prepaid mobile users in US cannot verify their profile.

Verify identity by passport is secure !?
I don't see that option in "About this profile"

@@SocialMediaExecutiveLtd Is it available for India?

What are your suggestions if the verification via Clear threw you into a continuous loop that restricts you from being verified?
Try again in a few days, it may be a temporary glitch
if i don't have that seal on the front of the passport, I won't make a verification???
I don't think so because it scans your passport microchip.

hello!
Hello, great to hear from you.
Not all phones can read codes.
You can just open the LinkedIn app on your phone in that case and do it directly from your profile there.
It says allow NFC on your phone, I don't know where I can allow it.
