I'm taking kung fu lessons right now, but only to learn how to fly and hover in the air. I've been at it for 10 years now with no luck, but I think my persistence will finally pay off one day 😀
It was while watching Swordsman III that it finally dawned on me that Chinese Wu-shu films fit firmly into the category of fantasy, and with that I realized that in fact there were a lot of good fantasy movies out there. They just weren't being made by Hollywood. As to the detractors, I'd rather watch wire work than rushed CGI any day.
Who said there was wire works in this movie. Didn't you know when you master yourself the elements will be understood and how they can benefit your movements.
Nelson, you, as well as anyone that agrees with you, are the type of people that will randomly yell at some poor random store manager for any number of stupid reasons in your lives.
The series is "Sword Snow Stride". The child is not a child, but an old Kung Fu master who has gained youthfulness. He wants to kill the protagonist (guy in white clothes and drink in hand). He approaches him disguised as a child and pretends to be his long-lost little brother. So, the protagonist pretends to have been fooled by him and lets him tag along. However, when he sees his opponents, he throws the child at them, forcing the child to reveal his Kung Fu abilities and makes his one enemy (the child) fight the other enemy (the guards). The child tries to avoid fighting and says to the guards - "You guys, I am not actually his little brother." And the protagonist says to them - "Yes, he is not my brother. Please show him mercy and let him leave." So the guards think the protagonist is trying to protect his brother and doubles down on attacking the kid.
I'm so surprised so many people watch these kinds of films. One of my very first Chinese kung fu movies I watched in the early 80s was Five Deadly Venoms and I've been hooked ever since. I even know more than a few Chinese words and phrases.
@@Sir_Richard_Stewart I've seen it already, which there aren't very many that I haven't seen. I've had over 150 VHS tapes of kung fu films before. It's the newer fantasy ones I haven't seen yet, but I've seen all of Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Gordon Liu, Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Jaa movies. Oh, I've also seen many of the Chinese dramas like Ashes of Love, Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre and Condor Heroes. I'm a true fan.

Watched it recently, it was good but with one of the biggest let-down endings I have seen in cdrama, Xu Feng didn't get a chance to enter the final phase and fight the top dude, and he also never saw Jiang Ni at the end scene 😢
Wire-Fu is always hysterical 😂 It's like some exaggerated anime brought to life. There's only a small number of movie directors and kung fu fx guys that can make it seem believable. As for this clip, it's hilarious but entertaining.

The cinematography is very breathtaking and beautiful it always amazes me the length of this art form they take further i think we become to expect it to some degree,but never what consistently produce. I enjoy to view it without subtitles in its natural pure state.

I know, that Mandarin is hard to translate. I tried to understand a little. It‘s quite interesting this mélange of mysticism, religion snd superhumans. Everything seems to be a ritual. The good characters are beautiful, the bad ugly like in a fairytale. The fights look like dances and that is what I like about it most.

The "Gung" Fu of the popular screen actors was les ridiculous than this. David Carradine and Bruce Lee were much better to watch.
