Porosity is such an important factor .......as a high porosity girl you got this on point and I do follow the caution routine already 3x co wash and 1x a cleanse was it works best for me at least...
Im a low porosity and i used the dark and lovely moisturizer. It left my hair coarse and dry so I switched to Cantu and im very happy.

The tips I’ve got from this video 😭✨ wow. Now it makes sense why certain products don’t work for my hair. I’ve been using the organic (green one) conditioner and shampoo with thick butters and oil and my hair quality has improved, Yho thanks sis you really pulled through for a girl 💖
Enjoyed it very helpful as for I needed some guidance on how to take care of my natural hair I'm kinda a newbie I cut last year and ever since I've been plaiting my hair to avoid all the work but I'm starting to like my natural hair
I was once told not to mix products and I'm really not about that life, I prefer mixing what works for my hair instead of buying a whole set that might not benefit my hair. Anyway I have high porosity hair and it seems that I'm on the right track. I use the organics 2 in 1... I also have the native child milk & honey and the native child Shea Butter.... I've been using castor oil to seal I'll try out one of the oils you've recommended.

I love that dark and lovely shampoo even though it has sulfates. It cleans my hair and leaves it feeling very soft. I have always wanted to try the design essentials range so I am definitely gonna get in there🙂
I'm low porosity and super sensitive to coconut oil. I tried the hair juice but there was too much coconut oil. Lo po is atruggle😔. Dark and lovely shampoo and conditioner and the Tresemme botanique the best.

Hi Yolz, I was using the LOC method last week using Originals Leave in conditioner, raw Shea butter and I sealed with Jamaican Black castor oil... OMG the oil was just sitting on top of the hair. I realised I have low porosity hair. My question is what is clarifying and how do I do it. And can I use a hair dryer to steam?

Firstly, the camera quality is on another level and you look so beautiful.
So I use design essentials and afrobotanics, just not sure what perosity I fall under. All I know is that my scalp is extremely dry and my hair breaks. I was told this is normal for afro hair, but I just dont like to see so much hair on the comb than my head. Thank you for this information. It will help me a great deal.

How do you allow moisture in ? If you do not have a shower and you still using a basin 😊
Hey babe, it's not a no. But I would advise mixing it with light oils to make the consistency lighter and penetrable in the hair shaft. Like I said, this is just a guide. Key take out is that Low Porosity hair can have easy build up so because of the compact cuticle.

Hey Yolz i have low porosity hair and I am using native child shampoo and Shea Butter Aunty Jackie's leave-in conditioner but my hair still feels dry i do the whole water spritz thing but yho it still feels supper dry
What about shrinkage? Can it be reversed?

Thanks Yolz...I hear you said Low porosity hair take time to dry up,mine dry up very quicky but When I do hair porosity test its shows Low porosity hair coz my hair sink on the water and sometimes products sit on the top of my hair.It is low porosity?
That hair test is not 100% accurate. So I think you are high porosity

Yes it is hun. As long as it locks in moisture and leaves your hair feeling supple and moisturized.

OMG I learn everyday these day's my hair has been very heavy with product and I realise it's the amount of castor oil. No more for me I'm moving to grape seed oil.

I have a low porosity hair so most of the time when I take my shower I don’t use a shower cap just so I can get the steam or when I have time I put a towel in hot water and wrap it around my head for 15 minuets or so

I honestly for the life of me cant figure out my parosity. When i use the curling cream from afro botanics and the Shea moisture leave in conditioner i feel like it dries out my hair, idk why. Iv tried using it before the oils and after the oils but still. Any advice?

I use the AFROBOTANICS shea butter and a blend of seed and olive oil which makes my hair too hydrated for a few minutes then boom.....dries up in no time.😭
Ok so iv done it a number of times and had given up. So what happens is when i put it on the surface level it just sits there forever (low porosity) but when i dip it down to cover the entire strand it sinks fairly quickly so that way id assume im high porosity?
