I love how Ricky is so much like both of his parents but the best parts. He's full steam ahead with things like his dad. Just blurting out oh hey you guys are engaged at the worst possible moment. Same with him going ahead with pursuing the anullment without his mother's knowledge. He knows how much it means to his mom and is trying to do everything in his power to make her as happy as possible. But like Sharon he's doing all of this from his heart because of how much he loves his mom. I love how all of Sharon and Andy's kids just conspire to get them anullments so they can get married in the church. Like rusty completely talked Nicole into speaking to her mom into annulling her marriage because Andy as sweet as he is just wasn't getting the hint.
Missing the point about the annulment of a Catholic marriage. It's not a divorce (a formal dissolving of a previously entered into contract). It's a recognition that the marriage NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED, which cannot be if there is only subsequent behaviour (booze, philandering, etc.) of one of the parties. If the marriage actually DID HAPPEN, and especially if there are offspring, it's until death doth you part only.
That's a legal annulment, not a Catholic annulment. The Catholic Church has various grounds on which a person who married in the Church, and had children, can petition for an annulment (addictions being one). However, it's a horribly invasive process and can take a very long time. I wish that aspect, i.e. Raydor having to dredge up her marital past, had been addressed.

my parents were married in the catholic church. they had me (offspring). my father had the marriage annulled.
