I get it's a limited time thing and that they're not going to put so much effort for a theme that's going to be around for a very short time, but if they went all out and designed it really well, it really would have given the room more justice and possibly more worth it to stay in it. I think the chest is the best part of the room because it's something that's very recognizable throughout the games and made me think of the room being a place where they could have tried to make it look more like an area you might see in any of the games, be it somewhere on the Destiny Islands, Traverse Town (especially the hotel rooms in the first game), Twilight Town, The Mysterious Tower, etc. I could go on and on about how they could have done the room, but it is what it is. #keyblade For that price I need the overlay to go beyond what the themed character rooms do, not gonna lie. I also think that you should have been guaranteed a reservation to the cafe. I can understand if the items you purchased there wouldn't be included, but you're paying premium for an exclusive experience. Leaving elements out of that experience is unacceptable. After guest reservation are handled, they can open up to the general public. Plus, by guaranteeing a reservation it may drive more people to reserve a room! 💸
oh man this video, i remember waiting so long for the first game, watching all the clips, reading articles in gaming magazines, and going the day it came out to get it, and not being disappointing at all. still one of my favorite memories, and still have a lifelong love of the kingdom hearts universe, your a lucky dude, i would have emptied out my bank account to do all these things, oh and the keyblade was my favorite part with the key word keyblade hahah thanks bro!
Obviously I am more worthy of the keyblade than Sora. My bald head blinds all enemies But we are glad Sora is in Smash. With the Hidden Mickey medallion on his keyblade, it is one more place Disney has a presence
KEYBLADE- that room is so cool. I love the treasure chest in the room. I was waiting for you to tap on it with the KEYBLADE to see what came out. They seriously need this in Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
My little brother and I grew up playing Kingdom Hearts, my brother loved it so much that I bought him a keyblade necklace from Japan while he got me the heartless and nobody's necklaces. My brother still plays Kingdom hearts to this day, remember that your NEVER to old for anything Disney.
The hotel room Key blade is beautiful!! I love how they decorated the room. It's a shame about not getting the reservation for the KH dessert set especially if you paid so much for the room. And I think Tokyo Disney should have something permanent for Kingdom Hearts, whether it is a hotel room or a room or an attraction. Also that chest! How fantastic is that?
i’ve been missing Tokyo Disneyland since I lasted visited it a few years back, watching your videos about TDL makes me reminisce about the good times I had with my family back then, thanks :)
Traverse Town, Twilight Town, Destiny Islands, and The World That Never Was themes would have been excellent rooms. I wouldn't complain if I can only get in one. It would be a treat. (I Prefer Twilight cause Roxas lol) In addition, Land of Departure would make an excellent meeting room/hall for all KH Fans dinning in or even seeing some KH Goodness.
Sora’s bed is superior bed. His has the peek-a-boo heartless. And I see the pattern better. And it’s Sora. Omg the room key though ♥️ I want it so bad! I love all the pictures. I’m gonna decorate my room that way. And the lampshade! Ugh omg I want it all. The curtains are so cool!
It would have been nice to have more physical things in the room like the Chest to make it truly feel unique, but it's nice that they acknowledge Kingdom Hearts at all!
Honestly, I've seen personal themed rooms that have more care and complexity by comparison (aka Fan's own rooms that have crap tons of merch and custom stuff to theme their rooms to the series). This is DISNEY, it should be on the level of someone with a BATCAVE in their BASEMENT. Especially for $700. Like, not including a PS5 with the games? That'd be AWESOME, like having the collection on a PS5 that is Kingdom Hearts themed, even with a controller? Hell, maybe you even get a controller to take home? It's not like we haven't seen themed consoles already for KH. There's just so many missed opportunities, even if it wasn't going to be permanent, it just seems they didn't care much, even though there are a LOT of fans that'd totally pay if it were properly themed and worth it. Like, imagine a lit up display box with statues of the characters inside, like a diorama, and have it play music from the games? There's so many interesting ideas they could've came up with but this feels like the bare minimum, stuff you could buy or do yourself for cheaper than a stay at that room. We're talking about a franchise that changed Action RPGs for the better, that had no right to be as good as it was, or garner the amount of fans it has over these years, let alone even adults that have waited for that 3rd game for nearly 14 years. I honestly and sincerely believe that Disney doesn't understand the value of the Kingdom Hearts brand at all.
The common thing I've seen is people saying "they could've done more" and honestly you'll always feel that way when seeing the final product. I'm not saying this is the "best hotel" by any means. You want best? Next time you go to Tennessee stay at the Gaylord Hotel over there. You'll never find a more hype place to stay with your family/SO (or even by yourself) this hotel pales in comparison to the Gaylord in Tennessee but that being said it's still a fucking amazing Hotel. Way better than that shit stall of a Hotel Disney has for Star Wars (I don't even remember what it was called) and frankly if you're a fan of KH you're gonna enjoy staying here. It's quiet. It's peaceful. The aesthetic is pretty rad. And if you travel with your consoles you can just play the entire KH series on your TV and maybe set your portable radio to play some KH tunes you got saved on Sound Cloud/Spotify to set the mood when not playing a KH game. The Oblivion/Oathkeeper keys and the treasure chests alone are worth the price of admission (IMO) and the only way I can see a KH hotel improving from here is if they make an entire hotel complex based of Kingdom Hearts from the ground up and maybe make it the same size as the Gaylord in Tennessee? (For context the Gaylord Hotel is so damn large it has 4 separate wings and an indoor gondola ride that allows you to run slow laps on the interior river at the center of the hotel as a sort of tour to what you can do around the place and ever has damn koi fish in the river you can look at while enjoying the ride. It's a damn near giga giant of a hotel complex). Overall 8.5/10 The extra 0.5 in the score comes from the simple pleasure that the toilet and the shower are separated. I wish houses did this. I dunno why carpenters think keeping the toilet and shower in the same room is a good idea but I hope they get spanked often in their lives.
The special bag is at least worth $55.00 but $29 for a reusable bag is steep. If enough people enquire they may sell the bed toppers. It is good that for the price you get to keep the KEYBLADE.
I was impressed that everyone in the room got a keyblade, I figured it would have been just the one. So I was pleasantly surprised by that. Thank you for watching as always!
I'm so excited to see this room but that price is insane. I'm obsess with that table and want it. Keyword Keyblade, I can't wait to go to Japan and planning to go in 2023
The keyblade looks really cool and I'm glad people got to keep theirs. I'm curious about what's in the box though. I'm not into Kingdom Hearts but I know some who are so I get swept up in curiosity and excitement cause of them for stuff like this. The hotel room seems too overpriced for just that though like, it'd have been cooler if there were more efforts put into making it more KH-themed.
Thank you for showing this off for us KH fans outside of Japan! I could really relate to your story about importing KH and getting a Japanese PS2 despite not knowing the language ^-^; When I was in middle school, I remember spending all my Christmas money on a Japanese 3DS so I could play some Japan-exclusive games, even though I can only read very basic Japanese!
Has it been that long!? I loved the Final Fantasy games growing up so naturally when Square Enix introduced a game with Disney and FF characters in it and a great song by Utada Hikaru, I had to get it. The funny thing is I learned a lot about the Disney characters and stories through the game since I didn’t watch many of the films growing up. It’s too bad that the gap between the second and third was sooo long. Maybe one day I’ll play KH3.
1:27 details like Mickey announcing the Elevator floors is amazing and shows Japan's attention to detail! Question though do you get to keep the Keyblade? Cause I feel that alone makes it worth it!
For each person is the key blade design different or are they all the same? And for whatever is in the box, would each person get one or is there only one of the items in the box?
700 dollars, that is like the same price for the Alba and Ater chesse set. Thanks for showing this room to me because now I know that I can get something Kingdom Hearts for practically the same price.
I love how TokyoDisney does these kind of themes. Thank you for sharing, loved it! I loved the key blade the best…as the code word. I thought that was amazing and I would do the same as you lol
Keyblade! Out of curiosity, do you know the cost of the Twisted Wonderland Tokyo Disneyland hotel room? Idk if it’s still available but I remember seeing the overlay was an option last year, I wonder if it was as steep as the KH room. I can’t imagine spending nearly 1k for something like that unless it was split between a sizable group of fellow fans.
The annoying thing, which I forgot to mention in the video, was the special dessert was fully booked the day I booked the room over a month ago. Oh well. Thank you for watching as always, Jackie!
Keyblade! Regarding what's in the chest, if you want to be spoiled check eBay. 😅 There are also descriptions on Twitter, which apparently skirt around the embargo. Glad you had a great time, Chris! I'm also a huge KH fan. Do you still have your old PS2 and copy of KH1 by chance? Do you have any other KH merch/games from when you were younger? Keep up the great work!
Yeah! I have photos and videos I'll share later when I can! If someone wants to know what's inside the chest, others have posted about it. I do have the original KH1 PS2 game somewhere. As for the console, I think it broke years ago, haha. I have all the KH games. Thank you for watching :)
Keyblade! Thank you so much for the tour! Hmmm...so...I suppose the Sora plush got sold out already? Is it because they are also available for purchase online? There didn't seem to be a Kingdom Hearts plush for Donald or Mickey either?
I would totally pay that price to stay for one night. Hopefully you remembered to take all the free goodies from the room. I would have loved to sit at that table with a nice drink. Such a cool overlay. Glad you got to experience it.
Oh hey I literally make custom keyblade keychains a bit smaller than that, but even biggified the "Mystery Hack" to go as KH Dipper at my local convention
Keyblade! 🗝 Man, I’d love to stay there and split it three ways with some friends! Especially since they finally but Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo Switch! Ooo I’d be in nostalgia heaven docking it in there and playing every game!
As expensive as it is, god I wish I could stay there, even for a single night. I'm fine with most of the merch being skippable, but it sucks that I won't be able to get that bag any time soon, let alone that key(blade) man. Sad that we didn't get a look at the dessert, or the special chest in the room for that matter (at least for now). Also, sea salt icecream is a thing there apparently, they sell it ant tokyo disneysea, which I didn't know the last (and first) time I went, and that hurts me almost as much as not being able to go there again during this short event.
I love playing the kingdom hearts games as it also involves the disney characters but the storyline gets me confused sometimes lol but still one of my favourites 😆 i love how you get to keep the KEYBLADE but i would have imagined it being oversized like in the game hahaha😂 love the video and yeah it was way pricey for an overlay so... 💸
WAY WAY WAY too expensive but that's one hell of a room key(blade)!
oh man this video, i remember waiting so long for the first game, watching all the clips, reading articles in gaming magazines, and going the day it came out to get it, and not being disappointing at all. still one of my favorite memories, and still have a lifelong love of the kingdom hearts universe, your a lucky dude, i would have emptied out my bank account to do all these things, oh and the keyblade was my favorite part with the key word keyblade hahah thanks bro!
Obviously I am more worthy of the keyblade than Sora. My bald head blinds all enemies
But we are glad Sora is in Smash. With the Hidden Mickey medallion on his keyblade, it is one more place Disney has a presence
Those Simple and Clean blankets are a Sanctuary to help Face my Fears
Even a seasonal event would be good. I could easily see Heartless mascot costumes fitting in during a villain themed show or parade during Halloween.
The Keyblade being the room key is so dang sweet!
I'm kinda obsessed, haha. Thank you for watching!
i’ve been missing Tokyo Disneyland since I lasted visited it a few years back, watching your videos about TDL makes me reminisce about the good times I had with my family back then, thanks :)
Aww, I hope you're able to visit again sometime. Thank you for watching, Takahiko!
Traverse Town, Twilight Town, Destiny Islands, and The World That Never Was themes would have been excellent rooms. I wouldn't complain if I can only get in one. It would be a treat. (I Prefer Twilight cause Roxas lol)
In addition, Land of Departure would make an excellent meeting room/hall for all KH Fans dinning in or even seeing some KH Goodness.
What about Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion?
The portraits are so lit! They're adorable! They would've been sweeter with Sora's bearing a Keyblade!
Oh my god Kingdom Hearts hotel rooms in Tokyo DisneyLand! I loving it 😍 and so jealous both at the same time I fell in love with Kingdom Hearts 💖
Overall 8.5/10
The extra 0.5 in the score comes from the simple pleasure that the toilet and the shower are separated. I wish houses did this. I dunno why carpenters think keeping the toilet and shower in the same room is a good idea but I hope they get spanked often in their lives.
Glad you showed us as a big fan of kingdom hearts and love watching your UA-cam videos 🥰
I can’t wait for the borders to open. I’m so excited to be planning Tokyo 2023.
I can't wait for you to be able to visit! Thank you for watching :)
they should have had amenities with kingdom hearts. it would been easy to do. wonder if each room has a different looking key?
To my knowledge it's all the same keyblade for everyone.
KEY BLADE! That is such a neat experience! The fact that the key itself is how you get into the room :P
That's a HUGE markup for some special curtains and blankets......
I'm so excited to see this room but that price is insane. I'm obsess with that table and want it. Keyword Keyblade, I can't wait to go to Japan and planning to go in 2023
For the 700 he should take the table home with him xd
Thank you for watching, Vulpix!
Wow! Absolutly flawless your video. I surley enjoy it ando the Kingdom hearts theme is perfectly pictured. the key blade is precious
Thank you for watching, Mayra!
@@tdrexplorer always, You are awesome!!
Just like the real game...what's in the dang BOX??
I am so excited to see that you got a room there! When they announced it, I hoped you would have gotten to stay!
It scare the shit out of me xD
I liked every part of the room. Can't choose. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! I'm a huge kingdom hearts fan. KEYBLADE!
Yeah, that Keyblade was pretty cool. Not knowing what's inside the chest, though, I think my favorite part of the room is the table.
We were really impressed with the lampshades and curtains....and of course the keyblade room key.
Thank you for watching, Wesley! I wish I could have bought the lampshades!
This is so cool for Kingdom Hearts fans! I wanna go there to experience!
That keyblade key is an awesome idea. But I feel like I could re create this hotel room just by ordering stuff off of Amazon.
Idk I was expecting more for the price. I’d want to feel as if I was inside a section of the game. So glad I get to live it through you 😌.
For each person is the key blade design different or are they all the same? And for whatever is in the box, would each person get one or is there only one of the items in the box?
I’m curious as well.
they're all the same. last years design was sora's keyblade.
That room key is so awesome!! Great video!
Sadly, I don't. The rooms aren't around anymore. Likely around the same price.
I applaud them for the orginal fabric for the window drapes. Hope they consider making that fabric available to the public.
Keyblade! Too bad you can't ensure the dessert plate by getting the room - I agree way too expensive for one person but may be ok for 3 for one night
The annoying thing, which I forgot to mention in the video, was the special dessert was fully booked the day I booked the room over a month ago. Oh well. Thank you for watching as always, Jackie!
We didn't really get into playing Kingdom Hearts, but that KEYBLADE has us wishing we could book that room right now. Thanks for another great video.
Will you do a video about what’s in the chest once the embargo lifts?
That looks like a completely average hotel room with a fancy key and some KH sheets off of amazon.
Thank you for watching! I'm not sure about the merchandise since everything (except eh exclusive hotel bag) looks like you can buy it anywhere else.
Disney really undervalues KH it honestly should have its own theme park area in Disney World.
I would totally pay that price to stay for one night. Hopefully you remembered to take all the free goodies from the room. I would have loved to sit at that table with a nice drink. Such a cool overlay. Glad you got to experience it.
keyblade! that is so expensive for one night in a hotel, I can't believe it. Can't wait to see what's in the treasure chest
Ahh the keyblade as the room key is so intuitive but I do love the bed spreads and wish that was something I can buy for my room.
The keyblade was definitely the coolest part. Thank you for watching :)
Oh hey I literally make custom keyblade keychains a bit smaller than that, but even biggified the "Mystery Hack" to go as KH Dipper at my local convention
Always love your content, Chris!! :) Take care always!!
That KEYBLADE is awesome, And I love the shoulder bag.
Thank you for watching, Jennifer!
YOU ARE SO FREAKING LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE KINGDOM HEARTS HOTEL ROOM, I WANT TO GO TO IT SO BADLY
Keyblade! 🗝
Man, I’d love to stay there and split it three ways with some friends! Especially since they finally but Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo Switch! Ooo I’d be in nostalgia heaven docking it in there and playing every game!
Another great video Chris. Ok my fav was the key blade
Thank you!!
I'm super jealous. I've been a KH fan all my life and that Oblivion Keyblade room key, so beautiful.
The keyblade is so cool! Tempted to look and see if anyone is selling extras lol Thanks for the tour! Can’t wait to see what’s in the booooooox
Just show the good stuff on merchandise and food themed would be more than enjoyable for us explorers to watch😁
We'll have to start saving now. Love this room...and the key. Thanks.
Finally the UA-cam algorithm suggests something I needed to see! Very sad I won't be able to visit this in time.
The room key looks like an upgraded version of the keys disney sells, which makes me wonder why they haven’t had kingdom heart themed ones.
The keyblade and comforter would be coming home with me
I would absolutely stay for 1 night if I had the chance. Love Kingdom Hearts and that keyblade as a room key is a nice touch
I'm obsessed with this roomkey keyblade haha. Thank you for watching!
This room is Simple and Clean
Dude this is a really cool hotel room!!
I'm so happy you were able to do a review! You're always so thorough.
I don't know if I'd book it for that price, but I haven't completed ruled it out, lol.
If I went there, the lamp shades, entire bed, pictures, room number, everything kingdom hearts related, I would find a way to bring home XD
i mean if you do get it home it sell for a lot on ebay
@@crimsonshadowx6 Yup, exactly! BUT... I'd keep it all for myself, cept the lamp shades, and maybe the blinds (cause they didnt block out enough light.)
I love Kingdom Hearts! Quick question, what camera and mic do you use? And again, awesome video!
Honestly, it's not too bad, but I thought there would be more stuff inside (like the Cinderella hotel room at Disney).
I do like it! That treasure chest in the room is pretty awesome. 😃
Looks really cool Kingdom Hearts is my all time favorite ❤️ video game series and I would have loved to have visited this place if I had the chance thanks for sharing your experience with us and your amazing keyblade souvenir 👍❤️
Maybe I missed this, but did he mention if every guest staying in the room got their own Keyblade or just one per group?
wow making me jelly. I'm happy that you got to go there seems awesome!
if the room key was a real keyblade, you could change it into other keyblades by removing the keychain (the chain that has a crown at the end) and replacing it with a different one (if they make the others)
The defunctland staring at the kingdom hearts hotel on the table
It seems very standard for a room. I wish they did more theming instead of just the bed, photos, and more. It would make the experience so much better.
