Eddie can make you feel exactly how he feels 100%.
Provided you hear what he's singing
Good call
Its such an unbelievable inner connection between people that are listening to it. We are all feeling the same thing at once.
@@davidkauppi6029 example - Yellow Ledbetter. Idk 80% of the lyrics but that shit makes me cry like a baby every time!
Eddie is singing like it's his very last performance...thank God he's still around.
His voice is like a fine aged scotch...rich, smooth, complex and intoxicating
I once called it grunge butter but yeah, that so fits too! 😁😁
I have heard this song a million times over the decades and it still gives me goosebumps
Every time
same
💚P E A R L J A M UNPLUGGED IS FLAWLESS💚.
Eddie Vedder is a gift from GOD.
Eddie Vedder bleeds emotion when he sings. He has said that this song is a true story that he feels every time he sings it. They actually stopped singing it for a while as it was too hard for him.
And yes, he was 27 when they filmed this 😊
His voice is mesmerizing! And the passion! Chills EVERY time!
Makes me so happy to see young people discovering Pearl Jam.
One of Eddies best performances. If you watch the guitarist (to Eddies left) is enthralled with his performance as well i think.
Eddie is one of the best storytellers!! Please do "Jeremy" the uncensored mv!! And "Even Flow" the video.... So you can see how hype he normally is on stage!!!🙏✌🌹
When you're done listening to Pearl Jam look up Chris Cornell
That cracked me up when you paused it on the audience membet.
Pear Jam-Oceans best live performance I’ve ever heard
It's so great to see younger generations listening to music of my youth and appreciating it. Pearl jam is timeless.
My favorite band and singer!!! AWESOME!
You’re in my high school years here. The grunge scene came up and I was knee deep in it. I still listen to all of their music. Eddie Vetter doesn’t just sing it he experiences it and takes us along for the ride. Especially with this one that was done at their MTV Unplugged concert. He does it with so little effort.
@seansobson SAME! I just watched this video & been reliving my high school years deep in the PJ rabbit hole the past week. This is my all-time favorite performance of Black. Eddie Vedder is a musical genius & Mike McCready is a guitar icon. 🤘🏼 I get such a rush out of watching the next gen discover PJ for the 1st time…ALL the greatest grunge bands of our time.
Eddie Vedder was terribly sick with bronchitis when they recorded this. That's why he's sitting down. Usually he's all over the place. Check out "Porch" from this special or from Pinkpop 1992 (easy to find on UA-cam) he's a MANIAC on stage (or was, back in 1992 when I was so enthralled with the Unplugged special I stood in front of the TV with my boom box to record it) He's a gift. Also, he's experienced so much loss. All the other "grunge" frontmen are dead. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Stone Temple Pilots, the list goes on and on. Eddie's the only one left. They STILL sell out arenas whenever they play. They're in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame now, and they should be.
Stop it, you ppl run around and say this shit on everyone's fucking live performances as if this performance is the most highly requested one or if we only knew. Knick that shit off, it gets old,it got old 10 yrs ago.
One of the best voices!!!
Glad you enjoyed this track and thanks for the reaction. Eddie Vedder is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. I think you would also like Betterman/Save It for Later live from State College. The audio from that performance is available on UA-cam and it's great. You'd also probably enjoy Corduroy any version of that will great.
Thanks.
I like your reaction style. Instead of having you all up in the frame you actually show the artists instead of having them in small little box
I love Eddie's voice. Pearl Jam, one of the best rock bands ever.
One of the best live performances ever!! Cool reaction bro! Jeremy from the same MTV Unplugged is Epic!
First video I have seen from you. Now subscribed, because I loved the energy you gave in the beginning of the video. Keep up the work man.
Awesome! Thank you!
amzing
I love his voice.....it's liquid gold...a CLASSIC
He makes you feel everything he is going through in life and that’s something very special.
AWESOME reaction!! When you paused on the guy in the audience I LOST it, lmao! That's exactly how we all reacted to Pearl Jam back then!!!!. The lead singer is Eddie Vedder. He is the ONLY lead singer left out of the "Greats" of the grunge era.... all the others have passed due to suicide and/or drug overdoses (Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley etc. RIP). You're right, this man means/feels every word of everything he sings! He's a phenomenal human being as well. I recommend "Jeremy" Official music video(UNCENSORED) and "Even Flow" official music video. "Jeremy" was written, in part, based on an article he read about Jeremy Wade Dell, a 15 y/o Texas teen who killed himself in front of his class in 1991 and a little bit of a real experience in Eddie's life. That should be sufficient to get you going .... Thanks for the reactions!
Amen! He is one hell of a mood provoking singer. He makes me 26 again! He is as great of a person as he is a artist.
I recommend you watch them in concert when they were new. Holland i believe is the concert. He is unreal to watch. I love him so much. Love the whole band. Heard a tour is in the future. I'll be there if there is a way. Damn covid
Great reaction. When you love a song and performance like this, it feels great to watch someone else really appreciate it 💜
My favorite PJ song. We had some great music in the 90s across the various genres of music.
Love your reaction, you have taste.
You should check out Pearl Jam - Release live 1992. Another amazing, & my personal favorite, performance by Eddie Vedder. Just as moving as this performance.
Check out Pearl Jam PinkPop 1992. You see more of the POWERHOUSE he was there and still is! It’s an amazing Live Show. The biggest crowd they ever played for on their first tour. You’ll love it...hands down!!! You should watch more live concert performances! Enjoy
I loved your reaction bro it was just like mine the first time I heard this song by the way I'm happy to be a new subscriber😀👍
The live version of this song is even better than the recorded! Not many bands can do that ❤❤
Excellent and honest reaction Haze..thanks!
Husky. Eddie has a beautiful husky voice in the history of alternative grunge music.
Soulful - the word you're looking for is soulful!
Awesome review, great channel!
Great review man!
the VOICE & the lyrics ...... too
If you don't feel this, then you have never truly lost a love.
Love it... please do Alice in chains... Would... official video
yes omg yes!!!!
Much of the internet claims this was one of the best live performances in rock history. It is great, but it's not possible to be the "best performance ever" because he messed up his own lyrics.
Instead of, "I know she gave me all that she wore..." Eddie sings, "How quick the sun can drop away..."
Instead of, "My bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds..." Eddie sings, "My bitter hands cradle broken glass..."
Both lines he chose to sing were from the second bridge and chorus, respectively, which he then repeated when he got to the second lines during the performance. The only time an artist changes lyrics for a live performance is either when the song needs to be shorter for TV, or when there's questionable language. Neither was the case here. Eddie even shakes his head when he messed up the first bridge line, but like a true professional just kept going.
Was it a powerful performance? Absolutely. Was it better unplugged than the studio version with electronic instruments? Again, absolutely. But points have to be knocked off for missing lines.
SIDE NOTE: As to the emotion Eddie puts into this performance...you realize it's just that, right? It's a performance. He's a PERFORMER. His job is to make people believe it. He wasn't just an average guy who went through some heartache and it turned him into an incredible poet and singer. He was hand-selected. He has a professionally trained and mechanically correct voice. He's good looking. The breakup he's singing about happened when he was 16; he's 28 in this performance. No one worth their salt still feels that bad about a breakup they suffered as a Junior in high school. Especially if you wrote about it, brought it to a band, played it hundreds of times, re-wrote it, recorded it in a studio over and over again, edited it, then toured playing it hundreds more times in front of live audiences. It's desensitizing. This is a performance. The best ones can do that, and regular people can't. Regular people just buy it as genuine emotion every time.
SIDE NOTE #2: Still a great performance and a great song. Still rates as among the best despite his errors. :)
Ahhh my preteen years right here. Pearl Jam is so legendary. I’ll never understand how some people have never heard of them. 🤷♀️
His voice is god
One and only.
The one and only Eddie Vedder. This was a very emotional and personal song about the death of a relationship.
Eddie says "here.. hold my pain"..
🔥
Eddie V....king
Please react Jeremy unplugged mtv live, is insane!
Check out Pearl Jam - Breath (live if you can). Its more recent and Amazing!

Nice
You owe it to yourself to check out Guns n roses "civil war" but please listen to the album version. This song is so deep and parallels alot of what's going on today. Love the channel btw.
You got to pay for requests bro
Amazing performance and reaction. 👍🙂

Warning: intense 😁
You’re alright
The word is grunge my friend. lenny williams cause “i love you” next.
Bro we need to see you review "Where did you sleep last night", by "Nirvana".
I'll check it out
There will never be another Eddie Vedder. Never.
.checkout Yellow Ledbetter. .peace
This whole unplugged set was fire!🔥.... The song "Jeremy" from this set ua-cam.com/video/3g1Tu2Ulrk0/v-deo.html .... Eddie Vedder sings "Comfortably Numb" Pink Floyd cover......
Give it for the musicians! This would not be it if it was not for them. By the way it never is.
Just think. 92 shitty mic w no auto tune. Live performance. Show me a better live performance. Watch oceans from same show
It's not a shitty mic you clown. It's the 90's they didn't have smart phones but microphones weren't knew. It's MTV and Pearl Jam, fucking clown!
I came hear heard the first .5 seconds of you high pitch yelling and left
Don't let the door hit you out.
