I think c-pop artists and just Chinese society in general is trying to be more globalised. Instead of this homogenous conglomerate. I think China is trying to cater to the West rather than just Asia. Hence why more and more artists are learning English etc. The same can be said in the West as more and more Western people. more so in the business and political worlds are learning Mandarin. And I do not understand all the hate that Yixing gets!! I'll be honest, if he were not in exo I do not think I would pay exo that much attention. Not because I dislike exo - i just really love Yixing!! After all he was my first UB :')
iris_kate First Sm entertainment is not even a conglomerate. They are just an entertainment company. Also it's not homogenous. Lots of people in that company come from other places. They actually have a lot of Chinese people there.
