he already said before Edens zero will be longer than Rave but shorter than FT also this new manga his working is just a short manga that will serialized monthly probably the same as Monster soul and Monster hunter Orage that he also wrote during the serialization of FT back then but this time he said it's gonna be different from his usual story telling because the MC and Heroine are very different compared to Natsu ,Shiki ,Haru ,Elie , Lucy and Rebecca

The problem is that he can’t properly control it no matter how much he trains under Jellal and Erza unlike his older sister, so he‘s depressed and feels like he’s burden. Then add the feeling of anxiety because he believes with so much power he needs to live up to his mother’s expectations as well as the expectations of Fairy Tail. This is Simon’s belief of course because no one even considers him a burden and wanted to help him. Long story short Simon ignorantly takes an S class job to make Erza and Fairy Tail proud. Which completely backfires on him and results in a lot of people dead including some Fairy Tail characters (I will not say who). Seeing what he has done, believing he ruined everything, fearing the guild’s retribution he runs away attempting to embrace eternity when he is taken by a slave trader and forced to become a child soldier in a country that despises wizards on the opposite side of the world. Oh, and he’s 9 yrs old when this happens. If that answers your question.
Jeez, working on THREE series at once... thats impressive, I don't understand how Hiro Mashima can even keep track of all those characters. It's ridiculously impressive. I like that he's trying a different type of anime for his new series and, as a huge FT fan, I don't feel like I'm required to like it to respect the work he puts into what he does.✌
Keeping track of characters isn't what makes it impressive. It's the absurd time commitment to put it to page. *Scripting* a chapter can take upwards of 4 hours even for shorter stories with not too much going on. Writing and illustrating it? Hoo boy single chapters of can take a full workweek + overtime to get done, even for simpler stuff like Slice of Life series.

I have a love-hate relationship with fairytail. Liked the concept but felt that the writer kept things way too safe. I heard he wanted to make the series a bit darker but the editor and his fans steared him away. For Edens Zero he finally got to experiment with heavier subjects and a darker tone. I’m not caught up with the series but from what I’ve read I liked it more as a whole because it actually pushed the characters. Not to say FairyTail never did but in Edens Zero there was much more weight behind actions because of Rebecca’s time travel ability. To me personally, I hope the new series focuses on heavier subjects with a darker tone. Personally, I like those series best because when you do have things with friends and found family they tend to shine a whole lot brighter in that setting.
No I'm pretty sure he just Wanted to write something Lighter, Like Fairy tails Main identity was hugely made up of how lighthearted it was, it was like that from the beginning and it wouldn't make sense To Make it suddenly darker, That's not what fairy tail was about
No he was not experimenting in Edens Zero. Rave was just as dark as Edens Zero and some if its twists were more tragic. It was Fairy Tail that was change from his usual style.

I’ve really been loving Edens Zero and I’m sad it’s coming to an end because I think it had potential to be longer. I just hope he doesn’t rush the final arc since the ending to last arc was a bit rushed. Definitely excited for his new series but I’m gonna miss EZ🤧💖

I geneally like Mishimas' manga. All 3 major series (Rave Master, Fairy Tail and Edens Zero) are very different, but equally cool and I enjoing EZ much like I enjoyed RM and FT. Yes, RM is most dark and dramatic from all series, and FT is a kind and lighthearted story and it is cool he wrote it - and this type of story is a rare thing today. EZ still not finished but I can say it took some of the best elements from both previous stories, add some fresh ideas and put all these components to a wonderful space fantasy setting which is much cooler than setting of RM or FT. So I just happy Mishima exist and writes this incredible stories.
I read an interview article about this new series. Mashima said he was challenged not forced to write something outside of the omegaverse he's built with Fairy Tail and Eden Zero.
I now feel really bad for Mashima. And she shouldn’t be forced to do this. As she is probably busy with other stuff. But, I didn’t actually know Eden’sZero & Fairy Tail was both made by Mashima! Recently in France we had the opportunity to have Hiro in videoconference at the TGS in Toulouse and he said that Fairy Tail 100 years quest in anime was not planned for the moment (but he implied 2024) from what I know.
Forcing his hand was probably a good idea to get him out of his comfort zone. which let's be honest he needs to. even if it ends like Kishimotos sensei's 7samurai it will undoubtedly expand his horizons
Kishimoto isn't a good example from this. Because his writing has only been degrading over the years (definitely shouldn't have come back to Boruto, without second writer). Mashima actually has shown that if he isn't under distress or a spotlight of online toxicity that pushed Fairy Tail to unfortunate end - he can actually improve his style and ideas. Which 100YQ has shown.
Unpopular opinion, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Imo Rave Master, Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero are actually pretty similar(different franchises but similar tone and character design). It would make sense for Mashima to delve into something that he hasn’t done before. Personally I think it would be cool if it was a more darker series, sure all of his previous works have darker and more mature arcs but they’re overall light hearted. It would be cool if he would make something akin to a Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland or Berserk, like a dark fantasy. It would be interesting to see Mashima’s take on that kind of genre, which would be the complete opposite and of what he’s produced thus far.
I wish Hiro Mashima nothing but the best, as he's such a legend with Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. I just hope he doesn't burn himself out, but if he's set in doing a new series, there's no doubt in my mind it will win.

Whatever the hate on FT this the only series i have rewatch 4x memorable for me cus this series my first anime after my hiatus and always feel heartwarming whenever i star rewatching it again, whatever the path the author made i fully support it 👍
I hope they give some spotlight to Rave again. It really needs an anime reboot to finish the story to non-manga readers. It's a lot darker that FT, and pretty character driven too. I love to see more Julia and Belnika.

I highly respect Mashima's work. Fairy tail is so underrated like it deserves more attention because of just how unique it is from other anime but still follows a generic line of animation. Hiro most certainly knew what he was doing when he made the series and it reflects in all his other works.👌👌👌👌👌👌
As of right now we have no idea what he is being forced to do. I can understand that change may not be a good thing, especially when you got the formula down, but it also can be good. It all depends on what changes he is forced to make and how he handles it.
I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing. Hiro Mashima is extremely talented, and it might benefit him to broaden his horizons with a different style of series. I don’t think he is being forced, it sounds more like he just received advice from his editors. He’s just worried that his old fans might not like it, which is understandable.
Maybe the magazine is telling him to make a new series with different character designs instead of using similar ones. I like Fairy Tail and Eden Zero but a bit of character variety in terms of visual design would be nice. Still a fan of his storytelling and hope to see him continue. And also pray he doesn’t get overworked to the point of illness.
I mean out of all of the top Animes. Fairy Tail is really the one that a next generation show would really naturally fit. Fairy Tail is built on family and friendship. So the dynamics of the next generation, training them and teaching them just would fit the series vibe

I love all his manga and anime fairytail was my first and I love his animation and characters even though there the same It’s what makes him a unique anime/manga creator imo cause he finds ways to give said characters there own personality and different looks I hope he doesn’t stray away from what makes his things perfect he is my favorite creator
i do like eden zero and them putting in some fairy tail references in the background. After i saw a character a few episodes in i had to rewatch to see who else i could find.
He is being forced to create a new series? This not unheard of. He probably signed a contract which requires him to. In the USA that is not unusual. The contractor can sue for breach.
This guy is one of the hardest working mangakas that produces some great fun stories to enjoy. Ive seen all of his works and even though people hate of them sometimes its really enjoyable. The 100 year quest has been an amazing read so far and Edens Zero as well. Hearing this though im not sure its a good idea. I mean if he was doing closer to the end of both those series sure but doing all 3 will heavily effect the quality of all of them especially if hes overworked and burnt out. Lets hope that doesnt happen
PS : Why does some characters are very similar between his three mangas ? Bcs Mashima just like to re-use previous characters to make a new story for them (like Erza in FT and Erzi in EZ)
I think we're forgetting that this is HIS work. He owns all of it. Other companies own small shares but he owns credit art and story line. After all of that there's nothing to own.
When I saw this series name 2 years ago I thought that it's for kids and i don't know why I stared to watch it but when I did i became huge fan of this series and watch 30 approx episode per day and eagerly waiting for new season ❤️

He isn't forced at all he just has tons of ideas that he wishes to bring into an anime and his new series didnt cause surprise it spread joy because of his amazing work thus far he always planned to make Eden an anime but before he didn't have enough material just like no game no life they didnt make a s2 yet because they didn't have enough material yet and I highly doubt he was forced at all because of how much time he takes to post doodles he draws online and also since he is more of an open book author which in his UA-cam you can see he freely showed us juvia and grays daughter also jellal and erza. He also has rave, fairy tail, and eden which are all coming to an end soon so he probably had another idea for a series which is why he made it. Also fun fact in eden you can see natsu and lucy in one of the scenes of the restaurant

I wish former FT fans would give his new creation, Eden Zero a chance. It's literally underrated and I have to say is better than Fairy Tail and perhaps even Rave Master. Of course, there's still his infamous fanservice on his female characters but other than that it's a good read!
I'm a fan of all of Mashima's work so at least for me while yes I love all his work, Fairy Tail is what is still currently my favorite. I love Eden Zero but for me Natsu and the others just hit better. Not to mention for me the fanservice annoyed me more than anything, maybe this is me being biased though as Fairy Tail is my number 1 favorite manga/anime.
people that dont watch it or read it do that because they hate how all the characters are pretty much copies of every character from fairytail we dont skip it because the story is bad we skip because they made it seem like a fairy tail copy but space yeah the personalities might be a little different however every character looks the same we have erza,natsu with black hair etc like come on if you make a new series for the love of god make new characters too and not just the same characters with a very small change with for example hair color being different etc

Fairy Tail is the best creation of Mashima, and no new manga or anime of mashima can steal that spot specially after 100 year quest.

My entrance into the manga/anime world was the Rave Master manga. As such I will always be a fan of Mashima's work, excited to see what he does next.
I’ve really been loving Edens Zero and I’m sad it’s coming to an end because I think it had potential to be longer. I just hope he doesn’t rush the final arc since the ending to last arc was a bit rushed. Definitely excited for his new series but I’m gonna miss EZ🤧💖
I just wish fairy tail 100 year quest should get animated... I wanna see erza in action..She is my fav anime character and also i enjoyed this anime very much..
For now the focus is in Edens Zero. Since Fairy Tail 100 years quest is still way far from being over.

I geneally like Mishimas' manga. All 3 major series (Rave Master, Fairy Tail and Edens Zero) are very different, but equally cool and I enjoing EZ much like I enjoyed RM and FT. Yes, RM is most dark and dramatic from all series, and FT is a kind and lighthearted story and it is cool he wrote it - and this type of story is a rare thing today. EZ still not finished but I can say it took some of the best elements from both previous stories, add some fresh ideas and put all these components to a wonderful space fantasy setting which is much cooler than setting of RM or FT. So I just happy Mishima exist and writes this incredible stories.
Personally i wish they Finish doing the anime for Rave master.............

They made an announcement trailer awhile ago though never gave a date for it's release.
Fairytail I'd say paved a certain way for modern shounen manga and anime, whatever Mashima decides to do I'm sure the fans will enjoy it.

I read an interview article about this new series. Mashima said he was challenged not forced to write something outside of the omegaverse he's built with Fairy Tail and Eden Zero.
It will be even better knowing him he is so talented can't wait to see how it goes

I now feel really bad for Mashima. And she shouldn’t be forced to do this. As she is probably busy with other stuff. But, I didn’t actually know Eden’sZero & Fairy Tail was both made by Mashima! Even though, Happy has the same name, a cat, and the same colour. So yh, that makes me pretty stupid. 😃 And I really do love both those animes, so I don’t know how I didn’t notice-

Recently in France we had the opportunity to have Hiro in videoconference at the TGS in Toulouse and he said that Fairy Tail 100 years quest in anime was not planned for the moment (but he implied 2024) from what I know.
I’m excited for whatever he makes but I hope people just don’t keep rushing him nor make him make or do something he don’t want too

Forcing his hand was probably a good idea to get him out of his comfort zone. which let's be honest he needs to. even if it ends like Kishimotos sensei's 7samurai it will undoubtedly expand his horizons
Kishimoto isn't a good example from this. Because his writing has only been degrading over the years (definitely shouldn't have come back to Boruto, without second writer).
Mashima actually has shown that if he isn't under distress or a spotlight of online toxicity that pushed Fairy Tail to unfortunate end - he can actually improve his style and ideas. Which 100YQ has shown.
Zeref was one of the greatest antagonists but he was did dirty and lost due to power of friendship.
Unpopular opinion, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Imo Rave Master, Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero are actually pretty similar(different franchises but similar tone and character design).
It would make sense for Mashima to delve into something that he hasn’t done before. Personally I think it would be cool if it was a more darker series, sure all of his previous works have darker and more mature arcs but they’re overall light hearted. It would be cool if he would make something akin to a Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland or Berserk, like a dark fantasy. It would be interesting to see Mashima’s take on that kind of genre, which would be the complete opposite and of what he’s produced thus far.

I wish Hiro Mashima nothing but the best, as he's such a legend with Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. I just hope he doesn't burn himself out, but if he's set in doing a new series, there's no doubt in my mind it will win.
For those who are wondering about the news, nope, the narrator just added spice to news. Mashima wasn't forced in anyway. It was just an advice from the publishing company. As for the news, it was only a teaser and nothing has been confirmed.

Whatever the hate on FT this the only series i have rewatch 4x memorable for me cus this series my first anime after my hiatus and always feel heartwarming whenever i star rewatching it again, whatever the path the author made i fully support it 👍
I hope they give some spotlight to Rave again. It really needs an anime reboot to finish the story to non-manga readers. It's a lot darker that FT, and pretty character driven too. I love to see more Julia and Belnika.

He obviously is just taking his editor's suggestion. If he didn't like it, he can just get a different editor, since he has the funds to do so.

I highly respect Mashima's work. Fairy tail is so underrated like it deserves more attention because of just how unique it is from other anime but still follows a generic line of animation. Hiro most certainly knew what he was doing when he made the series and it reflects in all his other works.👌👌👌👌👌👌

As of right now we have no idea what he is being forced to do. I can understand that change may not be a good thing, especially when you got the formula down, but it also can be good. It all depends on what changes he is forced to make and how he handles it.
I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing. Hiro Mashima is extremely talented, and it might benefit him to broaden his horizons with a different style of series. I don’t think he is being forced, it sounds more like he just received advice from his editors. He’s just worried that his old fans might not like it, which is understandable.

I really don't think Fairy Tail fans are gonna dislike Eden Zero if anything is like a proper future sequel to Fairy Tail.
Maybe the magazine is telling him to make a new series with different character designs instead of using similar ones.
I like Fairy Tail and Eden Zero but a bit of character variety in terms of visual design would be nice. Still a fan of his storytelling and hope to see him continue. And also pray he doesn’t get overworked to the point of illness.
As long as I can confirm 100 year quest will be made I don't mind waiting

I mean out of all of the top Animes. Fairy Tail is really the one that a next generation show would really naturally fit. Fairy Tail is built on family and friendship. So the dynamics of the next generation, training them and teaching them just would fit the series vibe
Don't forget that eden zero still has lucy and natsu they were an easter egg in one of the episodes you can see them sitting together off in the backround

i do like eden zero and them putting in some fairy tail references in the background. After i saw a character a few episodes in i had to rewatch to see who else i could find.
He is being forced to create a new series? This not unheard of. He probably signed a contract which requires him to. In the USA that is not unusual. The contractor can sue for breach.
This guy is one of the hardest working mangakas that produces some great fun stories to enjoy. Ive seen all of his works and even though people hate of them sometimes its really enjoyable. The 100 year quest has been an amazing read so far and Edens Zero as well. Hearing this though im not sure its a good idea. I mean if he was doing closer to the end of both those series sure but doing all 3 will heavily effect the quality of all of them especially if hes overworked and burnt out. Lets hope that doesnt happen
PS : Why does some characters are very similar between his three mangas ? Bcs Mashima just like to re-use previous characters to make a new story for them (like Erza in FT and Erzi in EZ)
I think we're forgetting that this is HIS work. He owns all of it. Other companies own small shares but he owns credit art and story line. After all of that there's nothing to own.
Hiro Mashima is like Rumiko Takahashi coming up with one hit manga after another.

When I saw this series name 2 years ago I thought that it's for kids and i don't know why I stared to watch it but when I did i became huge fan of this series and watch 30 approx episode per day and eagerly waiting for new season ❤️

He isn't forced at all he just has tons of ideas that he wishes to bring into an anime and his new series didnt cause surprise it spread joy because of his amazing work thus far he always planned to make Eden an anime but before he didn't have enough material just like no game no life they didnt make a s2 yet because they didn't have enough material yet and I highly doubt he was forced at all because of how much time he takes to post doodles he draws online and also since he is more of an open book author which in his UA-cam you can see he freely showed us juvia and grays daughter also jellal and erza. He also has rave, fairy tail, and eden which are all coming to an end soon so he probably had another idea for a series which is why he made it. Also fun fact in eden you can see natsu and lucy in one of the scenes of the restaurant

I wish former FT fans would give his new creation, Eden Zero a chance. It's literally underrated and I have to say is better than Fairy Tail and perhaps even Rave Master. Of course, there's still his infamous fanservice on his female characters but other than that it's a good read!
I'm a fan of all of Mashima's work so at least for me while yes I love all his work, Fairy Tail is what is still currently my favorite. I love Eden Zero but for me Natsu and the others just hit better. Not to mention for me the fanservice annoyed me more than anything, maybe this is me being biased though as Fairy Tail is my number 1 favorite manga/anime.
people that dont watch it or read it do that because they hate how all the characters are pretty much copies of every character from fairytail we dont skip it because the story is bad we skip because they made it seem like a fairy tail copy but space yeah the personalities might be a little different however every character looks the same we have erza,natsu with black hair etc like come on if you make a new series for the love of god make new characters too and not just the same characters with a very small change with for example hair color being different etc
