The scene is brilliant. Olivia's hair is straight. She has on a dark dress. She's villainous and glorious in all her power. All season she kept her hair in cute curls. Straightening it shows her change... it shows that she's not going to be "cute" anymore. Not that she ever was, but she's certainly not going to be "good" anymore.
Never liked Scandal that much, mostly because I found Olivia's annoying, but if this is what I can expect from Season 7, I'll be watching it. The white hat is gone and she's embraced the darkness and it makes sense. In earlier seasons, she was surrounded by monsters like her dad, her mom, Jake, and Huck, but instead of conforming, she tried to save them. After years of trying to save everyone, the thing that finally made her snap was potentially watching the white house be taken away from her and it's all brought together in this scene. The dark tone, the look in her eyes, the apparent change in her look. I'm down with it.
One thing about Olivia is she was a good person but was willing to do bad to get thing s done. Both her and David were alike in that way in the beginning. Daivis is really the only good good person who would bend the rules but not break them where Olivia would break the rules and she believes in second chances and helping people. QPA was about no judgement so she wasn't a hypocrite.
The Cyrus twist made no sense and was really disappointing after it seemed like he was on a redemptive arc. Why would he concoct this elaborate plan just to get the same job he was elected to, and how could he ensure that so many things outside his control fell into place? And how is it that he felt like he got what he wanted before Liv even offered him VP? What was his end game?
I completely agree, it doesn't make sense. Maybe the writers want Cyrus as Liv's ally for some reason. I'm just hoping there is some explanation in the next season. The way this is going. I think Liv might die at the end of the show...
I think it does make sense. Cyrus wanted to be president so he planted that seed on Luna's head, hoping that she would get rid of her husband, because he knew that being involved would have made him the first suspect. Think about it. He is the only one that could have wanted Vargas' head so bad. However, things changed, when Luna decided to be president her self and framed Cyrus for her husband's murder. When Cyrus got out of jail, his desires changed, but it was easy to see that after all he has been through he was hoping to be nominated VP by Mellie, because the presidency was out of questions anymore, but Mellie nominated Luna who revealed to be the real villain. However, Cyrus has just planted a seed. From what we know there is no evidence that there was a scheme or a plan that HE made, but everything was out of his control.
Laura Reznick Did you forget that Frankie Vargas was gonna put him in jail after he found out what Tom did to that girl Frankie might have been sleeping with? If Frankie was elected Cyrus would have been in jail which meant he would not have been VP, with this plan (as risky as it was), guaranteed him a shot of either being president or VP.
Wow she went from running out in front of all those cameras in front of the world to kiss her man her love Fitz goodbye to becoming evil. One thing about power it can kill you if it's put in the wrong hands.
Cyrus' storyline to get to the WH was too far-fetched and confusing. Then Olivia orders for her father to be killed in one episode and the next episode she flips, too much whiplash! The writers lost it for me in this season!
Maybe they need Cyrus, the political Monster (her Monster as he described) to be there and take over B613 when her humanity creeps back in and she hops aboard the first chopper headed to Vermont. At least they will have a strong, scary ally in Washington now that her dad is 'retiring' for good.
No he said he wanted to be president. What happened is he turns on Mellie and tries to kill her to become President. Mellie and Cyrus always played these games when Fitz was president. They were fighting to keep their place in the white house.
@@faithwatkins7811 I don't remember him trying to kill her. He tried to get her to resign by blackmailing Charlie into signing a confession saying that Mellie plotted the high hacking of Cyrus's plane.
Damn she looks stunning in this scene...
Absolutely gorgeous

There are black people with natural straight hair
@@malcolmharper12what does that have anything to do with anything? & olivia/kerry is not one of those people with naturally straight hair so...
Amazingly written scene the music the acting it's perfect
By far, it's one of my favourites of the entire series. Everything works just PERFECT.
Olivia Pope just went straight Darth Vader! 😳
in what way
Transfering power can be a dangerous thing to do. That is what Olivia Pope did. She is now obsessed with power.
Cole Hughes to be fair she's always had 1 foot in both doors .
Dan Koz but it's nothing like this 😳
I watched the past 5 seasons not too long ago. Trust me, this is NOT the Olivia Pope I remember. ☹️
Olivia changed so much but I will always love her. she's a savage.
the white hat is long gone.
Yeah she hasn't worn that hat in years. David is the only one that has worn the white hat since season 1. That hat is a tan color now lol
This should have been the final season definetly !

I liked the darker Olivia over light Olivia. To be in the Light means you have to be a hypocrite no matter which way you cut it.

Why can't they just get along? I loved their relationship in season 1.
All hail Darth Olivia!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Frankie and Luna's kids are gonna be 50 shades of fucked up by the time Season 7 starts

This has to be the best scene in the entire show
This should have been the series finale

The political queen on her rise to power 😍😍😍😍 that look alone tells us her white hat was long gone.

This series is too much
it should have ended right here. the last season was such an embarrassment

youjizz com
I love s6 but the reason why Frankie was assassinated still makes 0 sense to me 😭
So Cyrus never wanted to be president he always wanted to be vice?
Yes! But that was just his first step to get the oval, I mean he's making with that VP his own prescidential road...
