Pete - Your demos sound so unreal good - pure pleasure to listen ! Thats real guitar sound people !!! Love it for 30 years and i'm so lucky to live in this era of music 👍👍👍👍
I imagine that Pete has a room just for pedals, he walks in and there are shelves on all walls just for pedals.. hehe I find it amazing he can clearly articulate a accurate description on each ones characteristics, without relying of generic terms.
Sounds awesome as always Pete!! The Dyna Red is great and the fourth knob definitely adds some versatility. Some of the One Control pedals are older BJFE designs in updates versions but almost all of the OC pedals are still designed by Bjorn, however, they were designed directly for the OC line. I’ve more or less exclusively used BJFE designs for my dirt pedals the past 10-11 years. I feel like it has helped me to develop a dynamic touch since the pedals are so responsive so you WANT to explore the range of tones you can get out of just one pedal setting and doing the rest with your hands. Anyway, just my two cents. Absolutely LOVE your channel Pete!!
As always, an absolute stunner of an intro! Thank you for sharing your fantastic guitar prowess with us! It’s greatly appreciated! Oh yeah, your demos are also great!
Loving this demo Pete, sounding fantastic. The DRD has been one of my fave pedals for over a decade and this latest version is really quite good, hope people dig it as much as I do!
User is confronted with three videos covering the same topic...one video is create by Pete Thorn...user knows which video to watch. Thanks Pete, as always, amazing work!
Aloha Pete! 3rd video segment of yours I watched....awesome guitarist you are and you provide another unique flavor to the guitar world and music in general. Mahalo nui loa for sharing your time and helping all da Braddahs and Sistahs by providing your knowledge, experiences, opinions and tips....tweaking the individual musician to hone their skill and style. Keep on jammin’ Braddah....Me ke Aloha pumehana....Malama Pono!
Pete you are on fire with these tunes lately. This tune, the Fryette Pitbull module demo and the good ole Line 6 Helix demo song from like 2015 all need to make it into a new album ! Just release a 5 track EP. DO it now ! hehe. Love your work. Killer tones too as always..
Eryck Crypton you do? Impressive. There’s an hour+ songwriting seminar he gave somewhere on UA-cam. Fascinating. Should be a fairly easy search if you’re interested. But first please enjoy this video by Pete Thorn. 😉
Hi Alfred, Harley Benton have made a very well regarded affordable 'tribute' to Pete's Suhr - just in case that is of interest to you. It's on my wish list! ua-cam.com/video/udSXzsFXmWM/v-deo.html
Hey man, question: love your Thornbuckers & want to drop them in a Slash tribute I own. Can you clear up which orientation Suhr considers zebra & which is reverse zebra? Slash’s LP has the white bobbins of both pups facing the fretboard. Thanks! PS, love your content & your playing is sublime!
Cool pedal, great playing. The pedal scares me a bit though. I developed an embarassing habit. When I get a killer tone and Im feelin it, sometimes I drool. Is that normal?
Yes, I have done it.This pedal sounds really great. Wondered what the streaks on the guitar were. I am sick for the Lovepedal Purple Plexi and the Rambler FX Marvel 3
I remember going bananas over the original demo when you busted out “Roxy Roller”!! Been chasing Jimmy McCullochs tone a long time! What do you think he was using Pete? He had that nasally-treble booster/para eq thing going on. So cool!
Pete, I think you get better at playing guitar every week. Not that you were ever not good! Dude! I love watching these reviews, always so good and informative, but damn, these vids are inspirational to me as a guitar player!!!
@@PeteThorn No worries Pete! Reuben Kincaid is the name of my band. I suppose I should get my own personal YT subscription at some point! Not sure if you remember but Reuben Kincaid was actually the name of the manager of the Partridge Family band on the show.
Luckily, I already have this 3 knob edition under bearfoot effects with the same name. But it’s the extra hot gain version miab. It’s great. There’s also a mini One Control brown sound pedal that’s great too. But this red pedal is like a high gain Marshall.
This is higher gain. Different sound. I kept this one. I have the older version. No hiss in this one but tbh there wasn’t any hiss in the other one either. It just wasn’t for me.
Great demo, and awesome playing! I have a Dyna Red Distortion 4-Knob by Bearfoot FX, and also a Rebel Red Distortion by One Control (mini format pedal). Is this different from those?
It’s a shame that Bjorn decided to sell out and make these cheap Chinese versions instead of sticking with Bearfoot which are hand-made in the USA. He also screwed over Donner and Bearfoot.
I don’t know anything about the business dealings- or what the deal is with Bearfoot but One Control IS a quite well respected Japanese company, man. Not 100 per cent sure where they are made- I assumed Japan but could be China or elsewhere. But their products are quality (crocodile tail switchers etc)

Pete, u have outdone urself with this melody. Did not think that was possible!
As always, an absolute stunner of an intro! Thank you for sharing your fantastic guitar prowess with us! It’s greatly appreciated! Oh yeah, your demos are also great!
Fantastic demo as usual! The Dyna Red is one of my favorite pedals. The dynamic you can get is crazy!
Love to hear you play Pete! Thanks!

The degree to which I appreciate your “cover photos” cannot be understated. 🙏✨
Sounds great, and has lots of versatile tones.
So creative and elegant in your improvs and licks, that intro should become a song!
Thanks!
Can’t beat a Pete Thorn demo!
watching your demos , I just wanna go shopping all the time! Thank you for your great work .
Cool sounding pedal. Hopefully it gets on the Sweetwater site soon.
Great note separation on chords. Thornbucker is probably helping with that some, but very clear
I like it, sounds nice and "throaty," slightly reminds me of a SLO100. Great vid as always Pete!
Probably the best one so far..
Great sounding pedal! Killer playing as usual too
Love those opening runs on the turquoise suhr. Awesome!
That les paul really has a distinctive midrange growl to it!
The Thornbuckers helped this guitar immensely, it's just a great sounding rock guitar now with a lot of clarity yet nice and fat
Pete Thorn I didn’t even know those were Thornbuckers! I’ll have to get a set for myself. They sound like what good PAFs sound like in my head.
I really need to get my Thornbuckers into my Les Paul...
I put a set of Thornbuckers in my PRS S2 Singlecut, and they sound fantastic and are a killer mod that makes the guitar a keeper!
Very nice! You can still hear the individual notes of the chord even with a lot of drive! 😮

You got yer plaid shirt on, eh?
From one Canadian to another..."G-day, eh!"
Fantastic! Tone Master Thorn!!!
I often hear STP vibes in your demos Pete ... LIKE
Eryck Crypton I love this comment as I’m such a huge fan of Rob DeLeo’s composition.

O write this same comment here often. But only Shangri-la Dee Da era and after...
@@FlavioCastro81 you mean I am getting boring? 😂
Love that "Strat style" green guitar. Very nice look to it !!! The one before the "Suhr".---By the way,---that box sounds GREAT !!!
That's a Suhr too. A classic st, i believe.

sounds great Pete!
This pedal sounds fantastic!!!
Dude, your such an amazing player.
Dyna Red 4K been my main pedal for years now. Mix with a strat and a laney lionheart 20
Your red suhr is definitely jealous that the green one got to rip that solo...lol. Sweet tones.
Great playing on the intro track
Nice vid..with be looking into picking one up..great playing btw...I like your style 👌🏾

Nice pedal and awesome playing
Cool pedal, great playing. The pedal scares me a bit though. I developed an embarassing habit. When I get a killer tone and Im feelin it, sometimes I drool. Is that normal?
That's perfectly normal!
That happens to me sometimes when I see gear that I think is really cool. So, you're not alone.
Is the drool equal left and right?
@Tone Seeker clean since 2012.
Yes, I have done it.This pedal sounds really great. Wondered what the streaks on the guitar were. I am sick for the Lovepedal Purple Plexi and the Rambler FX Marvel 3
Man that isolated Tele track had a great Joe Walsh vibe.
This sounds excellent across the board , Pete...
Joe is underrated! One of the greats
Nice mid content in the tone. Very Marshall-like. Similar to an Angry Charlie. Great demo from an awesome musician.
Hi Pete! Would be really interesting to see you do a video on the One Control Jubilee Red pedal!
I remember going bananas over the original demo when you busted out “Roxy Roller”!! Been chasing Jimmy McCullochs tone a long time! What do you think he was using Pete? He had that nasally-treble booster/para eq thing going on. So cool!
OMG i am here only for the amazing solo !!!
Thank u!

I dig your vice!
Cool groove
well give pete thorn line 6 and its gona sound amazing!!! i finali got it, its not the pedals its you!
Ha thanks Avi! The gear helps us all though :)
Got your green guitars out for some attention. Good for you.
Sounds very natural Pete, kinda like my original Rat pedal
Cool pedal, I don’t see where you can buy one of how much it is.

Pete what pups are in that Tele? That guitar always impresses me! Perfect for both crunch and cleans
2:01 - Is that Jeff Beck or Joe Lynn Turner?
Pete, How would you compare this pedal to a Yellow CM Plexi-Tone? That pedal had a bit too much hiss for me...
I‘ve had the Carl Martin PlexiTone for a few years and I never plug it in. It isn’t bad but there are better ones.
This should be basically same as the Barefoot I think.
@@PeteThorn Thanks for your reply. Listened again to the demo piece, sounds really great!
Killer!
A bit of apparel showing your roots :)
The sound close to MI Crunch Box ?
That looks a bit like Mini Bombastortion and the sound also reminds me a bit about it.
Hey Pete - for this track - what was developed first - the drums beat ?
I generally come up with a riff or something, and then pretty quickly pull up a drum groove to help develop the riff or progression further.
What are you using to hold that pedal in place? Off the shelf or fabricated?
It’s like a work bench vice
Where do I purchase one please
Podrías decirme en comparación con el jhs andy timmons cuál es más potente
Sweet :-)
How about marshall jackhammer?
I can hear some old Ratt in that tone
Pete could get good tone out of a hair brush!!
wow, that intro....
Dayum, I didn't hear a tone I didn't like.

Not really
Pete Thorn Japanese made.
Not made in China. They’re made in Japan now. And they work fine.
