I only recently learned about the value of blueprints from the Ubisoft Forums. What I do, is after every mission, go back to Erewhon, pull up my Loadout, and equip the highest level Assault rifle (whether it is my favorite or not), then my highest level sniper rifle, my highest level pistol, submachine gun, light machine gun and Designated Marksman rifle. I then note down the level of each, go to the shop, and sell all other weapons of the class that is lower than my current weapon (earlier on, rather than sell them, you might wish to deconstruct them to get needed part etc). You'll notice how your gear score will be increased dramatically. Then go to the store, construct weapons from blueprints, and buy a version of your favorite weapon in each class with this new, higher gear score. The go back and sell the other weapons until you have a version of all your favorite weapons in each class with a higher gear score. Rinse and repeat.
Great to see someone who's not on the hate bandwagon. Get the TAC 50 sniper early as possible as it deals a lot of damage and can 1 shot kill even on the body (not Heavies), it has a huge range so you can remove the supressor and take out those drone buggies at a great distance.
Dark, something you missed with this is upgrading the weapon's Mk will increase the likelihood that you get a higher quality weapon with each on demand build reducing the need to farm as many skell creds
LillyAlara the randomness makes it not worth it though. I just farm the loot locations which show that weapon as a reward. Then I repeat the various bases which dropped the weapon I am interested in as in my mind I’ve noticed I get loot drops from ads which seem to match the weapons I got from that base/location on the first clear.
I have to say, this makes a lot of things much more complicated than it has to be. Why even have a loot based system in the first place? The whole point of loot is to find superior gear. But these blueprints renders the whole thing pointless. Why not just have to the way it used to be? I like many things about this game, but i don't like having a loot based system. It doesn't make sense to me.
I agree. It irritates me that I never know the true specs of my weapons. They're listed, but the weapon level can mean it's stronger or weaker. Also, I don't know if higher tier weapons make the specs better. The game doesn't tell you. It's unjustifiably ambiguous in my opinion.
When you go to craft the gun, it has a small range of numbers it will craft at which changes based on your gear level at the time of crafting. What sucks is you have zero input in whether it gets created at gold or purple status which can have a huge influence on weapon stats and bonuses. It also sucks you cannot pick what bonuses get applied to the weapon when crafting it. What’s the point of crafting if you have no choices other than the specific weapon itself? I’ve chosen to just roll with looted weapons and hoard crafting supplies from deconstructions to use to upgrade every type of weapon for the upgrade achievement.
It's the talents on the weapons you go for eg Better handling & accuracy just keep rolling the blueprints u til you get the talents you want. Very similar to the division.

Hey Dark, you are so clear n easy to understand, man. I must have watched 10+ vids on blueprints and didn't learn a thing with all the tangents the stuttering prats kept going off on! Could you please, PLEASE do a vid on upgrading to MK 2-MK3, what are the benefits, when best to upgrade etc. I've just about giving up trying to learn how to upgrade because all the vids I've watched (15+) are so bloody complicated. You gota be busy but if you could it would be really appreciated. Cheers mate.
Dark, just checked out your other vids and realised you' rd already done one on MK modification and just as I thought you made it crystal clear n easy to follow. Seriously, you wouldn't believe how many vids I've watched on blueprints n MK modding, spent a few minutes watching 2 of you'rs n now I feel like n expert! Won't be bothering with the other sites from now on, I'll just be coming straight to you'rs. Thank's man, seriously BIG THANK'S.
Thanks so much. I didnt know this video was one you made. Watched a couple by a few different people but I was thinking the entire time, "man, I wish darkdally had a blueprint video." Low and behold it was next on suggestions so I obviously had to watch. Thanks so much for what you do! I just recently got into ghost recon and you have been a tremendous help and I wouldnt be as good a player if not for you! Ay man, thanks for the videos, your wildlands videos were helpful when i had my old account and just found you again. happy to see you expand into the new title, gonna be looking out for your uploads!
Personally believe the new immersive mode makes this game so much more enjoyable. Especially since I can change slight setting like changing home many primary’s I have, bandages I carry, ect, love this game
G28 is a DMR, not a sniper rifle. and the G28 Wolves version is better (when both are at Mk 3, and fully upgraded). But you might find one that has better handling, or longer range (depending on which you prefer as an individual weapon perk).
@@Darkdally DD explain this to me. WHY! I was in the alpha and both Betas and the gear score is just a nuber, it does not affect the stats or the dmg of the weapon. Now they could have changed that from the Beta but I dont think they did and the gear score for gear also does nothing but the bufs you get for the collored stuff. It confuses me. Just use the same gun and switch it for a better collored one or again use the blueprints no need to keep shuffling them around.
Thank you for that. I got a load of weapons & blueprints by doing thing in Wildlands but I wasn’t really sure how they worked. Your video explains it perfectly. Good job.👍
Having a lot of fun playing and exploring. Looking forward to getting "scope dope" chart for my sniper "Scorpio Scout" to get more consistancy beyond 400 m.
x SpinDrift you can teach yourself your various weapon dopes by taking shots at the tall rotating light spots. Most of the various dmr weapons are consistent at similar ranges. It’s the snr weapons that have some pretty wild deviations from each other with the same scopes.
Oh, exactly what i wanted to say, level system worked well in Odyssey, but here, it's pointless, no more can i stick with the same gun i want to play with, without going to bivouac or Erewhon, and spending Skell credits, not like it's hard to get them, but why i need to do this, it' time consuming and lorebreaking. At the beginning, i thought that you can just randomly obtain weapons through crates and wouldn't have a special locations for each like it was in wildlands, turns out, you can have two exactly the same weapons, one of which can be better than the other, ridiculous. And blueprints, it's like a joke about german engineers: "Solving problems no one thought we have".
@@steinnbjorn7627 I find much of this game to be unnecessarily time consuming. Everytime I go into the menu I'm immediately annoyed, you can't even switch through the tabs quickly. (That has a simple enough solution, drop the delay between tabs, and move the objective tab to the left of map. Also, make the option button bring up a different half of it, like settings.) It's almost like they didn't have enough time between the beta and release to do anything *surprise surprise*
@@benjaminholcomb9478 sure, they were rushing for release, as the result, we have bugs (sometimes step sounds disappear, sometimes drones, and interractions doesn't work, sometimes going downhill while crouching looks wonky (you step on air sometimes), everlasting bloody bandages, that disappear only in erewhon, maybe a feature tho), i was scared that it would happen, but i was expecting this, it was obvious, and also we have many unnecessary, unrefined systems, like with weapons and gear (actually, gear system would have been kinda logical, if it was utilized better, like different bulletproof vests should have different bullet protection, and etc). But, on the other hand i like their attention to details in breakpoint, like you can't just sprint downhill, or sprint up the mountain, you can fall, the prone camo is amazing, and depends on terrain, the way clothes and weapons get covered in mud, the more realistic mechanic of ragdolls, ai that can be surprised by your attack, and that uses tactics in their movements, while they're detected you, this game is actually good, i don't understand why it has so much hate at the moment, especially about microtransactions, almost every video, almost every article about this game consists of hate about microtransactions, i couldn't find many microtransactions in this game, it seems that somebody is paying to destroy the reputation of Ubisoft, everyone have seen the cosmetic items shop in beta, but nobody said anything at that moment, and, actually, many reviews during the beta were positive, and, almost immediately after the release, tons and tons of articles appearred blaming breakpoint for microtransactions, not for the obvious problems it has, but about microtransactions, it's suspicious, isn't it? What i think, they should have done is thrown the level system into the dumpster, and insted of wasting time on it, they should have added ai teammates from the start, like really, if they will make ai teammates now, appearing outta nowhere, i will be in rage, the only logical way to implement ai teammates right now is to make a separate mission, like it was in wildlands, where mission starts from recieving a signal, and, after you recieve it, you could find Fury, Fixit, and Vasily, for example, and each of them, for example, could have been in different location, having different problem to deal with, it's one of the logical ways to add them right now. Also, i hope we would recieve more cosmetics and actual gear later on, because right now we haven't got a lot (where cigars/cigarettes and many other masks tho?) Also, why Fury is buyable for the real money while fixit and Vasily gear is in the game, i mean, i know, Fury is hot and many, including me would like to buy her skin, but still, why
@@steinnbjorn7627 you definitely have a lot of thoughts. I too think there are many silly things that don't make sense. And I think we agree on what those are. My sarcastic *surprise* is in regards to the fact that the beta (where most of the play testing takes place) was days before release. Which means that no matter what feedback they received they wouldn't be able to implement it. Hence, the menus suck because no one outside the devs gets a good look at it before it was finalized (no "real world" testing). And they didn't implement any real improvements anywhere because they didn't have the time nor the flexibility in the system to do so.
@@benjaminholcomb9478 yeah, i get why you wrote surprise , yeah, i agree, honestly, i don't even know why they were making closed beta and beta tests, they were pointless, beta test just a week or so after closed beta, for what, and as the beta ended, release was just after few days, damn, even if they wanted they wouldn't have enogh time, it would be so much better, if beta was months, or month at least after closed beta, and release was after two weeks after beta at least, and even better - after a month, yeah, long time waiting, but we would have had a finished product hopefully, and ai teammates could have been from the start, but, business does it's job, almost every game nowadays comes out too early, sacrificing quality
You know what’s exciting? Getting these blueprints on extreme with limited or no hud, feels like u really worked for it rather than just go in and pick.
I have a lot of blueprints, but I rarely buy weapons. Roaming around I will always use the highest gear level weapon I find (asr/snp setup), unless I really dislike the weapon. On the other hand I have upgraded a lot of weapons I wouldn't buy to Mk 3, because you don't always get to walk around with your favorite weapon. And you can you can upgrade weapons you don't have a blueprint for. For the cheese lovers: you can sneak through behemoth sites and get the blueprints and skillpoints without fighting.
What I recommend it’s get in the helicopter and fly around finding all the BIVOUAC, you don’t even have to land or get off the heli just get low enough so the game will recognizes it. It’s going to take a while to do all this because even the small islands around the map have some but you will thank me later 😎👍🤟
YADIEL DIAZ there is an even easier way find the highest point in any region then send your drone up to maximum height, put it on maximum zoom and it will pick up nearly all of the undiscovered areas
You don't even have to do that. Sit in one spot and let. Your drone I'd everything on the screen. Move somewhere else and do it again. Point at another ? and id that point, then the next, and the next.
Damage doesn’t change depending on gear s level the only thing gear level changes is the perks that are on the weapon. The higher the rarity the higher rolled perk you get
Just because it’s harder because you’re a lower level and get one shot easier doesn’t change the damage if you look at the damage number you’ll see nothing changes when the gun is higher
I don't understand why you have to continuously keep upgrading to a higher gear score weapon. I got a basic G28 at the very beginning of the game and it has the exact same stats on damage, accuracy, etc. as an improved version G28 that I got later in the game except for the unique buffs that come with the higher qualities. So in theory, the level 1 G28 should perform the same as a level 30, minus the little buffs. Or am I missing something here????
It’s a game mechanic. The weapons and armour scale to the enemies. So if you fight a L30 enemy with L20 weapons/armour you will do less damage and take more damage. Normally, all enemies will be about your gear level so its not a big deal. But there are some area’s that have minimum gear levels. Example. A base might have a gear score of 60+. If you go in there with L43 gear the enemies will still be L60, so it will be hard (not impossible if you stay stealth and land head shots), if you gear up to L70 then the enemies will match you and be L70 too. This lets you roam around and do lots of things, but also puts in a gear grind to be able to comfortably do some base’s in the game.
Holy crap, I was wondering where your vids have been. Glad this shows up in my recommended 4 months later. Gonna switch those notifications on now. This system works great until you max out you gear level at 250. Then you have to grind PvP and raids for higher level gear. The raids can be an issue if you don't have a dedicated crew to play with as matchmaking with randos that'll stick it out to the end is hard. Especially when not everyone uses comms.
The gear level of the weapon doesnt determine the damage of it. The damage is shown on the bottom left side of the tooltip. Your overall gearscore determine your damage resistance and stealth etc to same level or higher GS ennemies. While the crafting system is usefull to level up, the purpose of GR is a realistic approach of combat prep. Special forces use specific weapons for specific ops. By delivering a load of loots it allows to learn, discover every weapon brand. Crafting system is usefull to grind your way to GS 300, so be ready to have a lot of skull credits. It allows also to try to get specific rolls. Like damage against drones, or accuracy or range. Getting a specific combo can be quite expensive.
Very good explanation. But at 4:08 you said that the weapon attachments don't carry over. Not sure what you mean. In my experience, you don't have to repurchase weapon attachments. Also, I think it's pretty bad that when you purchase a gun from a blueprint that you own, the tier is random. That means you might have to purchase it several times just to get the attributes that you want.
The upgrades carry over, but attachments don't. All that means is you have to refix your scope, underbarrel, and whatever. You are correct on the second point, but leveling up those stats don't matter so much. At like max raiding level, sure, you may have to craft a few to get the stats you want if you really want to min/max your setup, but that is up to the player. Ghost Recon is kinda going a new direction here.
@@Darkdally Okay. I misunderstood you. You are definitely right about them going in a new direction. Unfortunately, I feel like the direction they're going is desultory.

I think this game is severely broken for me. There is no " weapons on demand" tab on my screen. Just a blueprints option. Also, I'm 92% through the campaign and all I ever seem to find is green loot. No idea how to beat Walker because I've been on gear level 36 for ever even though I constantly have the best gear equipped.
the benefit of blueprints is that you always have to waste time and skell credits crafting your favorite weapon three dozen times because it won't roll at the gear score you want and/or the talents or perks or whatever they're called in the division 2.5 don't get me wrong it could be worse. of course they could've left bullshit grinds out of ghost recon
I thought that the “gear score” system would kill this game, but recently I bought it as it was mega cheap. I’m loving it tbh, had the choice to go realistic but I had to find out. Personally Iv always avoided certain guns just because they weren’t for me, but when said gun is 4-5 levels higher.. It’s made me use things or try new play styles, which cannot be a bad thing. It’s Ubisofts general formula but it’s still a fun game with solo and MP sides for both raids and coop. Well worth the £10 I paid for it 👍🏻 Great vid also! Bit late 😂
Correct me if I'm wrong but a GS 10 weapon will have the same damage as a GS 130 one. The only purpose of the blueprint is so that your GS in a weapon will match your current GS but stat wise they are all the same as long as they are the same type of gun (M4 to M4, AUG to AUG, etc.) right?
What is your opinion on all these hate crusades going on? In my opinion i played the open beta the 26th thru the 29th and absolutely loved it. I preordered it on amazon the 3rd so waiting for it to come in the mail. The point people are whining about is the pay to win stuff. But obviuosly they didnt actually pllay it because its just like wildlands....YOU can beat it without the game store money. Its only an option for gun looks really can the gun in the game are basically the same. Same way with the outfits as well.
People are allowed to like the game. People are allowed to dislike the game. I’m sure there are some trolls, and some haters, but some people with “negative” comments were probably really looking forward to the game and its not what they are hoping for. That disappointment sounds like an angry rant, but its coming from a place of love for Ghost Recon.
From what I can tell gear level doesn't matter all that much other than the bonuses that they have on them. If you don't believe me start a new game and play till you get to Weaver, if you are a skilled marksman and stay hidden you can kill all the wolves even though they are recommended 150 targets.

All the guns feel the same to me lol. HIt em in the head, they die. Otherwise, shoot em till they die, just like any normal shooter game lol. "Not by a long shot... No pun intended" 😂😂😂
I legit played all day and didn't realize this
Thanks so much. I hope to see more breakpoint videos soon, I just got the game and I cant wait to experience this new open world!
SRSA1 was my favorite sniper in Wildlands besides the BFG, but it Breakpoint my favorite is the G28.
G28 is a DMR, not a sniper rifle. and the G28 Wolves version is better (when both are at Mk 3, and fully upgraded). But you might find one that has better handling, or longer range (depending on which you prefer as an individual weapon perk).
This actually really helped, cheers Dark. I wasn't sure how all this shit worked, so big help :D
I'm happy it helped.
Darkdally how do you record the video, put voice on it, then upload?
@@Darkdally DD explain this to me. WHY! I was in the alpha and both Betas and the gear score is just a nuber, it does not affect the stats or the dmg of the weapon. Now they could have changed that from the Beta but I dont think they did and the gear score for gear also does nothing but the bufs you get for the collored stuff. It confuses me. Just use the same gun and switch it for a better collored one or again use the blueprints no need to keep shuffling them around.
@@Darkdally is the PS90 any good in this game ?
Thank you for that. I got a load of weapons & blueprints by doing thing in Wildlands but I wasn’t really sure how they worked. Your video explains it perfectly. Good job.👍
Bit of enemy slaying in the wild ks actually pretty fair
Love this game so much! Thanks for the information on this. I was alittle confused about this. Thanks again and keep the videos coming.
Darkdally is the man. From wildlands to breakpoint
Blue prints solve a problem that shouldn't exist. They fill a hole in a loot system that is antithetical to half of the rest of the game.
Also, make the option button bring up a different half of it, like settings.)
It's almost like they didn't have enough time between the beta and release to do anything *surprise surprise*
Immersive mode just hits different
Helpful video thanks, I was kinda playing right by chance but never really understood the blueprint system until now
I have a lot of blueprints, but I rarely buy weapons.
The higher the rarity the higher rolled perk you get
have u ever tried to fight the behemoth lvl 180+ with a lvl 30 gun?
Lol yeah and nothing changes
Just because it’s harder because you’re a lower level and get one shot easier doesn’t change the damage if you look at the damage number you’ll see nothing changes when the gun is higher
frank saunders agreed, the perks are what makes the gun, and in whole the only reason to hunt purple or yellow guns in at all.
I agree with what you are saying and I think this something they have to fix like they did in division 2
That's dope, I play with my friends and I always rock the Victor and go in 1st then my friends follow
Can confirm, you can get Elite stuff from blueprints
Thanks for the review buddy, keep it up
Holy crap, I was wondering where your vids have been.
Thank you 😊 I was waiting on this video
Thanks for the straight forward explanation.
Thanks for the video, great as usual sir!
@@Cheka__ And many people feel that way. Personally I enjoy the game. The franchise will be 19 years old next month and over that time it's evolved a lot. That said, not every evolution will fit every person, you know.
Darkdally thank you thank you thank you truly from someone that appreciates what you put into making your videos I can't wait to see what you are gonna make for this ghost recon game Question tho ?? Why do you think this game is getting such bad reviews and people bashing it all over youtube
Thanks for the help very useful I sent the link to my squad great video
the benefit of blueprints is that you always have to waste time and skell credits crafting your favorite weapon three dozen times because it won't roll at the gear score you want and/or the talents or perks or whatever they're called in the division 2.5 don't get me wrong it could be worse. of course they could've left bullshit grinds out of ghost recon
Does anyone else feel stealth is a lot harder in this game?
Yeeeeeeeep!
I’m a Panther class and it’s been doing wonders for me with stealth kills.
stealth is better in this game. hold up, another drone is coming (lays down)
I thought that the “gear score” system would kill this game, but recently I bought it as it was mega cheap.
Well worth the £10 I paid for it 👍🏻
Great vid also!
Dude, this was so not explained. Thank you very much. I kept using my lvl 30 signature G28 and now I crafted lvl 70. Thnx again!
The hate is more of a mob mentality thing. The game is amazing I'm a level 160 and have loved every minute so far.
Very helpful, thank you!
Hey dark if you love the aug if you progress your assaulter to level ten you get the blue print to aug assault the second variant of it
Alittle peeved that the G2 didnt make a return. The fire rate alone on that thing saved my ass a dozen times or more in Wildlands.
From what I can tell gear level doesn't matter all that much other than the bonuses that they have on them. If you don't believe me start a new game and play till you get to Weaver, if you are a skilled marksman and stay hidden you can kill all the wolves even though they are recommended 150 targets.
DD explain this to me. WHY! I was in the alpha and both Betas and the gear score is just a nuber, it does not affect the stats or the dmg of the weapon. Does anyone know how to make weapons of the blueprints after the latest update released?
They changed the store layout and the regular option as showed in the video is gone 😑
Yeah, shit sucks I’m looking for an answer too
Dude, you can virtually use the same gun the entire time and say screw the looting. Just make new ones when it's time to upgrade levels.
Well, I loot to get guns to break down for upgrades. Or sell them for an extra 10k Skell credits depending on what I need at the time.
I snuck in and grabbed the scorpio BP and fast traveled away.
I did the same for the Vector blueprint. Lot of close calls but got in safely lol
All the guns feel the same to me lol. HIt em in the head, they die. Otherwise, shoot em till they die, just like any normal shooter game lol. Ive run with a Mk48 that is upwards of 30-40 lvls below me and it still performs wonderfully.
I just spam it till it gives me a purple when I am building a new one lol. When do we start seeing gold?
I just mentioned the same thing with my G28. My level 1 performs the same as a level 40 or whatever. Same stats and everything except for the little buffs that come with the higher tiers.
@@markgery644 The loot system in Breakpoint feels so tacked on and irrelevant that it honestly hurts. Its like its there JUST for the sake of saying the game has loot. Beyond that, we swap and change gear so mcuh, that there is no such thing as 'making a build' or anything like that...its just 'put on gear that has a higher number'....

Does anyone know if the perks on the guns are fixed or are the perks random? I've been trying to find out if God roles are going to be a thing in Breakpoint.
They are random, but Guns focus on marking mobility and shooting mechanics while clothing focuses on damage resistances and misc perks.
I wish you could roll your abilities and make your own blueprints from weapons like in the division. They took so many things from that game but not the useful stuff lol.
It would also be great being that it's a looter style game now to be able to drop or give items to other players.

The problem is when you get to 252 lv then you can only make 250 blueprints. Ergo better to use the weapons I find than craft a 250 blueprint. I stopped playing and went to Division 2 for better play.
I know I wasn't "supposed" to buy this game. A lot do people giving hate for it. But I'm actually having a good time. The whole loot system is kind of janky but it's still a fun game.
