I love how these guys will tell you whats in their engines down to the bolts holding it together while the semi guys are just like "it's an engine, no, don't even look at it" 😂
@@zenithskullI think it’s exactly that. I don’t really think anyone’s ever filmed the semi stuff like 1320 has the past two years now, so I can easily understand those guys being shy or secretive about their builds.
Those semis make 405-455 hp stock on Cummins isx (15L L6) & and in the same range across the board vs a paccar, Volvo, etc. so to double the hp you’re looking at a ton of R&D. Most heavy cabs that are workhorses are looking at 555 hp at the high end stock. Plus those sleeper cabs are around the 52000 lbs, where as the day cab is from the low 33000 lbs
Dude, whoever is in charge of 1320’s content needs a raise, loving them and their new style of branching out to all these different styles of motorsports
@@bigboreracing356 if the term “let’s go” is overused, and a word of the pilgrims… than what is your Chevy swapped ford??? I’ve seen more of those on UA-cam today than I’ve heard “let’s go” in the last week….
Diesel just creates so much cylinder pressure and heat it's hard for these guys to keep them together. Some of these guys are probably running 100 psi of boost the engine just wants to blow apart plus all that torque on the transmission... ouch.
Kenny won with Turba Tom's engine. They didn't make a big deal about it, but The People's Champion was in that truck. Thankful. Miss you Thomas Borrell!
"Anatomy of a track cleanup" style video would be cool someday. Let everyone know the process, and give us a link to send to whiners in chat! 🤣🤣 Thanks for bringing us!
awesome video, i watch alot of diesel pulling videos, but the added dyno and drag racing makes it much more entertaining. keep cranking out the diesel videos. i love them
met yall at the BIR power cruise. Have been watching the channel now for probably close to 8 years now and the crew and kyle are just as awesome in person.
Appreciate your coverage of the event. It’s amazing how open most competitors are to share what they have under the hood. It’s impressive that any trucks / engines survive the week. Thanks for the great Videos.
Thanks for covering this great event! Power Driven Diesel shot a hole into the sign above the grandstands with a piston one or two years ago. Greetings from Germany😊
Thank you, Thank you. Great coverage. There is not much out there on this event. Even when you attend the event it is hard to see everything. I know you put out great content and this did it for me. Subscribed
Buddy looking pretty upset after that first sled pull.. that motor ain't cheap to build but he brought home the w.. awesome content kyle keep'em comin brother
I don't know what you guys have done recently but your post-production on the video is excellent these days, clearly one of the better UA-cam channels.
I wonder why they don't use a hub dyno for these very high power trucks. It would take longer to setup but there would be zero issues with tires which would make it safer.
100% shrapnel killed those tyres, not the engine lockup. Plain as day to see. Whoever that guy in the grey shirt was who jumped in with the handbrake comment, was just trying to save his ass for having wrecked the dyno roller lol by running his risky tyres.
Whats truly incredible to me, more than the amout of power and torque the motors make and the amount of strain they are under, but the fact that the drive train can take it! All that torque going through the trans, diffs, and axles! Absolutely incredible that they can take all that torque.
Great stuff as usual @1320video ! Rocked it out of the park for us oil-burners!! 😎 Haha, a 5-thirty in the 1/8th...? Dude, my '93 12-valve Cummins farm truck used to take that long to get to the 60' haha...whee doggie, hold on! Keep up the great work folks, it's great to see such amazing trucks on the channel. 🤘
That dude with the Green Ram at 12:30 mark seems like a legit dude. I watched his interview on the Engine Builders UA-cam channel and i like how grassroots him and his shop is.
I always have to remind myself on why these kinds of dyno pulls are different and more prone to destruction... Not your higher horsepower vs torque type power, instead it's the opposite which means outrageously high cylinder pressure where they're riding the bull for a few moments trying not to get bucked.
I was just wondering the other day if there was going to be more diesel content of some sort. I thought, wonder if they'd covered UCC 😅 HELL YEAH! ❤🇺🇲 love the 4K quality addition 🫡
Love the different types of content on here and this one was a ringer! Just a suggestion for something out of the norm - come down for the Chapel Hill tractor pull 3rd weekend in July next year. Won’t be disappointed! Nothing like seeing 5 or 6 blown big blocks on the same tractor!
the cummins platform is the LS of the diesel community 😂😂😂. to be fair when you only have 1 head to buy and 6 injectors instead of 8 thats lots of💰💰💰to put somewhere else.
@17:34 The deck plate is to increase the length of the rod to ease the rod ratio so you can turn more RPM with that long stroke crank. Increasing the rod length while keeping all else the same will net a slower piston acceleration rate when changing directions.
Love to see a full dash ina big ass truck jus haulin ass, I used to work at New Performance auto n they build a lot of high horsepower cummins engines for pulling trucks, it was a badass experience, 3rd day in there they dynoed an engine that made 1800 to the crank, first time I’d ever seen real horsepower it was insane
I can’t believe Greg A lost his engine on the dyno like that but he has had that truck for years and he just keeps rebuilding the engine and it’s is still street legal
I love how these guys will tell you whats in their engines down to the bolts holding it together while the semi guys are just like "it's an engine, no, don't even look at it" 😂
Similar stated power too!
The semi guys are being stupid.
I’d bet that most of them don’t have anything different to what everyone else has.
Semi racing is a lot smaller of a community. I don’t even know where I would take my Pete to get it properly tuned for 800+

Agreed 👍
It's me lol
That'd be Kyle
All down to Kyle in the end. I've met the whole team and pitched them stuff. It's Kyles show.
Kyle and the crew killing it as always!
That black 05 Cummins that would be the one and only Greg A 😂
He didnt even see his Peterbilt 😂

26:50 -- 😂 love the steel cable around the engine just in case
In case you didn't know about the truck that blew its motor to pieces a couple years ago
Every rule like that has the name of a truck or a tractor attached to it...
@@Onlyyota that engine had cables aswell, hard to keep a old 12 valve block in 1 piece pushing 250psi of boost
It's a safety thing. There's alot of cyl pressure going on, and above 2khp there's a very good chance it's gonna blow.

Chris in the green truck is a character, loved seeing him

Pre dyno: "we're borderline cocky and confident"
On dyno: *Entire truck explodes all the way down to the tires*
Me: "that didn't age well"
he had a good attitude about it tho, he said the only thing missing in ALL that was a fire lmfao 🤣
I mean that truck already was fully on fire at a previous event when it lost an engine a couple years ago.
Wrench works boys really know how to deliver the power. Not to mention-always a clean build
Ahh Greg A right there. He makes some good yt videos.
Some of the turbo horns resemble TUBAS! haha Love the variety in racing videos as of lately!
