- Recently I picked up an Akemie's Taiko for my Eurorack, and it's quickly become on of my favourite modules. Here's what I've been doing with it.
You can download the loops and things I've created over on Patreon: / allmyfriendsaresynths

I post all of the music I make, including WAV stems; sample packs; Dirtywave M8 song bundles; collections of video textures; early access to videos; and a whole pile of other stuff on Patreon. I know I know, I hate doing this as well, but if you like what I do and want to get more of it, while also helping me offset some of my ludicrous gear purchases, this is the best place to do it:

If you just want individual sample packs or downloads of video footage to use in your own projects, get them on Gumroad here: gumroad.com/allmyfriends
If you're in the market for new gear, my favourite place to find new and interesting synthesizers and other electronic music gear is Signal Sounds. They are based in Glasgow, but ship all over the place and often have stuff nobody else does. Find them at www.signalsounds.com/

Akemie's Taiko is a "cold dead hands" module for me. It's the most FUN module I own. Is it the best? The most useful? Probably not, but I enjoy my time with it so much.
Yeah, it is awesome. I love it! One of the most surprising.
This is a really sick module! And I, for one, really dig all the gnarly glitchy stuff! 😁🐀
I know you love a bit of glitch!!
Nice track with interesting and suitable noises. liked it a lot.
Thanks a lot!
One of my fav Euro vlogger ever.
Thanks a lot!!
Woah... looking over your shoulder makes Nassa look like a phone booth ! 😀
That rainmaker and Taiko combo sounds fab!
That piece of music sounds great and I think I would add some talky vocal samples in places, like a few pearls of wisdom.
Just an idea 😊
Hey thanks a lot! Yeah, I am looking forward to throwing a bunch of vocals in there and getting some wild results out of it. :D
for your track - some held jazz chords and a funky bass line would tie the chaos together
This is great I’ll have to try this with mine!
Let me know how you get on!
Jasmine and Olive Tree's new Traffic module would be a great pairing with Akemie's Taiko
I hadn't come across that one yet, but it looks pretty interesting!!
@@StephenMcLeod clever and pretty cheap as far a eurorack goes ✌️
They'res nothing like hardware with buttons, knobs, sliders and blinkie lights. 😁
Amen
I just read your excellent Perfect Circuit article on DIN sync. It rises above the din to put me in sync with old Roland gear and even Eurorack. Now I might be able to hook up an old sequencer I got at the thrift store to my Digitone.
I see what you did there, and I like it.
Great sounds. Just bought a pam’s, so down the rabbit hole I go 😄
Good luck!!
modular like generative can be like cut up poetry -- ya look good in pink sir
Hell yeah. Agreed. Thanks a lot!
I've had taiko for a few years now and it is such a diverse module,.Yes it can be very annoying at times but there are so many sweet spots its really worth having in your rack. I'm curious are you using it mostly for the drum sounds on the track? or also the melody? because I didn't see anything in either of the V/oct inputs.
It's definitely one of my favourites. In the examples here I am using Taiko for the melodic parts, and also some glitchy sounds. The main drums are separate. I haven't used the v/oct inputs at all yet really - just feeding in envelopes/triggers to the various cv points.
Great music... not the everyday modular bleepbloop, spacefarts & laserbeams...🤩
Hey thanks a lot! I appreciate that.
About a third of the way through this video I was thinking “how would the Pulsar sound through that Rainmaker” 😄
I'll need to try that!!
Goood👍
Thank you!
