You have great taste in universities. When I was there I was in Plas Gwyn (one of the old halls on the Ffridd site, now demolished) and latterly in Cefn-y-Coed, which obvs is still there.
haha thanks yeah I've seen Cefn-y-Coed I've never been in the building though. I think the newer accommodation does look a lot nicer though but is obviously more expensive
@@GlobetrottingPolyglot I had a tour of the new blocks when we were still living in Gwynedd, a couple of years ago. They're certainly nice, but the rooms are a bit on the small side - normal for halls these days, I guess. I still think of Cefn-y-Coed and the rest of them round the car park as the "new" halls, because they were built when I was there. The old halls, now demolished, were in a state even in the early 90s, but the rooms were huge, and they all had big picture windows. Mine had a fantastic view of the Carneddau. Eeeee I sound like a right old codger. Great video, and very interesting!
Honestly I just bought the cheapest printer available in argos it was a HP one and worked just fine. For the laptop I guess it depends on what you study and whether you prefer mac or windows. I have a macbook air so can't really recommend any other laptops as I don't know much about it but my macbook air works just fine but it was a little expensive as it is a macbook afterall haha
Unfortunately I don't know where you can get one exactly like that from as mine it was a gift but I can tell you what it's called and then maybe you will be able to find it on Amazon or Ebay. It's a Hama Traveller 117 Ball 😊
sophie cackett thank you! I’m moving to Bangor next week and I’m currently in Enlli but now I’m doubting the choice and not sure if I want to move to peris :/
Carly Andrews the rooms in Enlli and Peris are exactly the same unless of course you opt for a bigger room but they definitely have some in Enlli to it’s just a matter of whether they are all already booked. I stayed in Enlli in my first year and I had friends staying in Peris and I went to their flat and it was literally identical to mine if that helps x
sophie cackett I’m just overthinking things then I think. Are all sorts of people roughly distributed the same throughout accommodation e.g. sporty people or quiet people
Carly Andrews hopefully you would have a nice mix of people but when I booked two years ago we all chose our rooms which obviously meant there wasn’t always an exact mix of different types of people in the flat. So assuming the process is still the same then you may get a mix of different types of people but maybe not. I‘m sure wherever you chose to stay there will be people in your flat that you get along with but I completely get that you overthinking things especially considering the current circumstances x
There are kitchens. However I personally decided not to film the kitchen for two reasons. One being that I shared the kitchen with other people and if I were to film the kitchen I could only do so when nobody is in there. The other reason is because the kitchen isn't decorated so I thought it would be uninteresting to watch. If you want to see what the kitchen looks like Bangor University have actually uploaded a video to youtube which shows you what the halls on Ffriddoedd village look like and it that video you can see the kitchen :)
thank you for this! hopefully going to Bangor in 2022 so this is very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm hoping to go in 2022 as well !
I'm going Bangor in 2022 now - I had my place confirmed this results day :)

Could you please tell me your views about the education in university.
Hi, great video, question... what laptop and printer do you recommend for University?
