nah fuck Walder, all he had to do was not execute Rickard Karstark and tell Edmure what he is planning, if Edmure didn’t attack Tywin’s army, Tywin would have been trapped in the Westerlands or chasing Robb which would let Stannis take Kings Landing

People is too harsh on robb, not even tywin could have turned over all the treasons robb had to endure, his mom free Jaime, the karstaks flee, his own "brother" greyjoy betrayed him, i mean dude.....
I'm with you. People forget he was just a boy that was thrown into a war and given great responsibilities in a position of leadership at such a young age. All he had was himself, his father not present to guide him. Though I understand people revoking his status as an honorable man, you cannot forget very few were honorable in this realm. Jon, Daenerys, and even Ned are all oath breakers. Why be so harsh on a young boy who paid for his actions with death?
Had he married the Frey girl, not killed the Karstarks and sided with the Stannis Baratheon he would’ve won the war
@@gc8328 Stannis didn't want to side with the North. The Karstarks betrayed him. Him being assassinated would've happened one way or another.

Gosh it hurts so much more when you remember in the books he's just 15-16 shouldering the safety of his family and the guardianship of the North

Roose Bolton was an evil man but he knew that breaking faith with Walder Frey would be a bad idea, so he kept his oath and married Frey's daughter. He did father a bastard and that bastard grew up to be Ramsay Snow (later given the name Ramsay Bolton). But Roose knew he shouldn't trifle with Walder Frey. Even Catelyn Stark told Robb Stark not to break the oath with Walder but he did it and thought he could get away with it by apologizing to Walder Frey. And that's where he was wrong. Even the other lords of the north told Robb that marrying Talisa is a huge mistake and voule cost them the war but Robb thought it was more honorable to marry Talisa since he had laid with her than keeping his oath to Walder Frey. And he lost the war.
Roose married her because Walder paid her weight in silver, Walder Frey was an oathbreaker who hid in his castle while his liege was sieged

@@toso69420 He died because Greyjoy and Freys are bastards with no honor. Whatever Robb would do -- it matters naught, Walder already had a deal with Tywin as did Roose. Show did Robb dirty tho cuz instead of marrying a girl because of her lost honour (and potions of her witch mother but it's not what the main part of story here) he just got horny on a lil' essos girl
