The Radial Engineering StageBug® SB-6 is a high performance 2-channel passive audio isolator designed to accommodate both balanced and unbalanced signals and work effectively at eliminating noise when used with instruments, consumer electronics as well as professional line-level devices.
The design begins with 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs to accommodate both TRS and mono type connectors. The unique circuit retains the balanced signals or automatically converts them from hi-Z to lo-Z (1/4" mono to TRS) or lo-Z to hi-Z (1/4" TRS to mono) depending on the connector in use. You simply connect and the SB-6 does the work for you! Inside are two ultra-linear Eclipse transformers that sound great as they deliver ruler flat performance from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This is augmented with a -10dB input pad to handle extra loud source devices and a polarity reverse on output B for phase aligning stereo signals. As the circuit is passive, no power is required - simply plug in and play. As with all Radial products, the SB-6 is made in Canada and features 16 gauge steel construction for use on the road and finished in a durable powder coat finish.
These features combine to make the SB-6 Isolator a wonderful solution to help rid system noise in two channel audio systems, stereo guitar racks and pedalboards.

I ordered one, hopefully this will solve my issue with the nasty buzzing noise I have whenever I plug any guitar in any amps, amp modeler and audio interface. I have I hope this will solve my problem otherwise my next step is to have an electrician looking at my electrical board. I'll come back and post the result soon.

What's is the difference please between the stage bug and the ice cube ? My issue is I have interference but when I touch the jack plug on the guitar it goes away. This is in my studio going to a focusrite interface.
The earth (ground)in the new property's been checked and is ok, so which one do we require to buy ? Kind regards Stephen Songdang studios

The higher the gauge the thinner the steel.

Hey there, I need to run a stereo signal into this and convert it to Mono to send to the board. Stereo --> SB-6, but what's the best way to get it to a balanced mono XLR to get to the board? Can I send two TS cables into it and then one single Mono TS out? It would be a TS 1/4" that converted to an XLR.

I just purchased the SB-6 today and it was the solution to a non-stop electrical noise I've had in my computer monitors (Yamaha HS5) that I haven't been able to solve for years. I had to press both the ground lift buttons for it to work. It is dead silent in here now, like so silent I was able to realize that the cheap tower power bar on my desk was making a high pitch sound! I got rid of that and now that it's gone my mixing room is deathly silent. Great product!

I read your comment before ordering a few days ago, got the SB-6 in the mail today. I was running the same audio interface (FA-66, still rocks) for the last 15 years and had a problem with my KRK speakers since I bought them 12-13 years ago. It's weird not to have electrical noises when I move my mouse or game now, but let me tell you that it was quite insane before (it would pick up the graphic card and power supply noises).

@@fredericpetitpas Glad to hear it! Love Radial products. Getting rid of that electrical noise is such a game changer, it's one of those bullshit problems you'd never think you'd have to deal with but seems pretty common amongst audio guys

@@DemonEmbarasser yeah love em too, got a reamp and Pro48, but I do have a hum problem when going from my DI (Pro48) to my tube amp (ENGL). If I play with amp sims and the amp, I'll get hum in the amp and not in the sim, then press the ground lift on the Pro48 and then full hum in the sims and none in the amp. I tested the StageBug between the DI and amplifier, of course it did the job haha... So I need another SB-6 now ! Btw, it's out of stock everywhere here, I don't know why and if they still make it.
