In the beginning the instrumental intro is 22 seconds. Her boyfriend who she thought she was in love with 3 years ago was 22. She was 16. It was the year she played at coachella. He used her to gain fame. He had "power" as the man and the adult to not use her for fame. Like she said power doesnt mean fame but he used his power over her to give himself fame

I'm absolutely obsessed with this track. I have it on continuous play on Spotify. The snake is real, but I think they used CGI in the parts where it wraps around her neck. But there are pics of her posing with the snake so she was with it during the shoot, well... this is a girl who had real spiders in her mouth so not like she's gonna do too much fake stuff. She is attracted to doing stuff like that.

It had to be a snake in this video. There are so much symbolism about a snake. They can slither in without any one noticing until it is there. This is like how abuse can slither into a relationship and not be recognized at first. Sometimes abuse isn't recognized until the relationship ends
I like how the snake has encircled her when she sings "keep her in a cage".
