Absolutely! Feels really stable, no issues at all whatsoever, just make sure to put thread locker to make sure its bolted on tight !

If you lowered the handlebars do you still need the additional cables?

Yes, the handle bars will only go down maybe 4-5 inches tops depending... this kit was a 12 in. Stretch.
